Those were the 90s Seph People would go to concerts, get drunk, and then start throwing stuff around and on to the stage. There´s another instance in this tour (in Barcelona) where someone threw like a shirt or something, and it landed right at Madonna´s feet... Madonna kicked it out of the stage and said: "Don´t throw shit on the stage again or I´ll kick your ass!!!"
Ah you stopped the video right before another bottle is launched at her while she was speaking. I don’t think she’s fazed to be honest but she does say “thanks a lot mother f****rs” hope you can include this before the final song coming up !
This is such a fun song live. I love how her top flares and bell bottoms sway and it’s almost part of the choreography. As far as the bottle thrown, unfortunately there’s occasionally a jerk in the audience. Most likely the person had too much to drink.
Yeah, I like those outfits too. It's Jean Paul Gaultier's best design of the show. I also agree, this song is irresistible. It's a total get-up-and-dance party tune, complete with its own "bus stop" dance. I bet this was a favorite of her and her dancers and backing singers. Joy and smiles abound. It's super cute how concerned you become when you notice the water bottle projectile tossed in Madonna's direction. "Did someone just try to throw something at Madonna!" (5:48) You classified it as a "summer song." I dig that and agree. Henry Rollins does the same thing on his radio show, noting a song's season.
Actually, this is the one outfit on the show that wasn’t designed by Gaultier. It’s Marlene Stewart’s, she designed the warddrobe for her previous tours and many of her iconic videos up to this point(Open your heart, Like a Prayer, Express yourself). You can check her website out to see all the things she designed for M.
when you go to huge stadium shows this is a regular thing. People pee in them and throw them to the front .. it wouldn't have been anywhere near her, the space from the crowd to the stage is quite large. I think the perspective makes it look closer than it actually would have been.
