The green looks great, but I think the pink would’ve been OK if you left the doors white and the baseboards, white and the trimming but then again the green looks fabulous. Great job guys.
I giggled through most of your video, I missed not seeing you boys and Ms. Parker, Taylor I must say some shots of your eyes are gorgeous, I hope this is just the beginning of you two doing more videos. Until the next one, Caio
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Guys the end result looks good, looking forward to the final reveal. Don't be too on yourselves, it happens to the best of us. Stay Safe & Healthy... Abrazos
Decorating tip!!!! Both of you go find a swatch of your favourite colors. One each of you both. Put each swatch on its own sheet of paper. It doesn't matter what color you are considering to paint. Then take your color choices one at a time and hold them up to your favorite color. If the color choice looks like it goes well with both of your personal favorites then that is the one you both will like for a long time.
Hey guys, the key to painting small spaces is to limit the color by only doing one wall or paint the trim in an off-white or light color. Since you painted everything in that room, it looked like a cave! LOL. But you never know until you try. I just love you guys! 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing this with your tips and styling. Taking risks is very important! Taylor is such a gem - so so handy. Very very aspirational!
I always enjoy hearing from you guys. I've always done all my own painting but I've gotten to the point I just don't want to do it anymore. It looks really nice now with the green accent wall. I'd hide those paint brushes for quite awhile.
It is so hard to select the right shade. Had the kitchen wallpaper taken down and painted a darker beige/greige - like it but somewhat of same reaction that maybe it is too dark! Decided when doing interior to go an off-white! I did like the grey tone of the undercoat!!
Great to see you both an Miss.Parker guys the color was awesome just not for that place. You could have done just the ceiling 1st. An go a day or two. But the green was done so well in your bedroom. An doing just that wall gave it a strong feeling grounded...gald to see you kept the apt...Parkers first home.. have a beautiful week. Stay warm. Looking forward to seeing you both soon. Much love and kindness ❤️ 🦋🏳️🌈
You never know how something might work out unless you try. Color is so expressive and combinations are endless. The pink might have looked better after its had a few days to cure/dry but I like the green better, especially with the white trim.
Could Jeff come over to England and paint an entrance hall with no shirt please. Asking for a friend obvs!! Seriously though, good to see you all back. x
The green looks good. One thing that makes it look good is the white baseboards. Another is it is only one wall. I think you could have had a good effect with the rose/pink color if it had just been the wall with the door and leave the door and baseboard white (not that you need other options 😂). I did something similar with a bright blue that I thought would really stand out, just on a half wall. It DID stand out. It was awful. I lived with it for a long time but finally painted it a beige color. Oh well. I tried. You tried. Good experiment!
Years ago, when I first moved into my tiny NYC apartment, I decided one summer Saturday morning to paint my entrance way. Purple. I think the name of the paint I bought was much more exotic but yeah, purple. I painted one coat. Then a second coat. Went to the deli and walked back in to one half of a peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich. Went back out and bought white paint. Took three coats to erase the PB&J experience. I liked both the terra-cotta color and the green.
I was just thinking about how much I missed you guys, so thank you for posting. I'm glad to see you're doing well, and everyone was right about the baseboards. LOL
You guys are GREAT painters. If you ever lose your day-jobs, you can hire yourselves out as "paint boys" ... shirts on or off. You'd make a fortune! 😎💖💖
I absolutely love the green color you used on the opposite wall, sorry y'all had such a long weekend, but just like Jeff said at least you both got to spend time together. The foyer looks great!
The problem with the color is two fold. You painted everything that color door, woodwork and it was too dark for the small area. Aldo it did not match or in same family as the green. Glad you painted one wall the matching green.
I would have tried putting some artwork on the walls(when it was pink). It could have been a great backdrop for some gold framed pieces, and making the focal point the artwork and not the pink walls. As someone said above making the trim white might have broken up the pink a little. I think it could have worked. I understood the Mexican restaurant reference, a slight shift in the color (away from red/terracotta) might have helped as well. I think you were onto something cool.
Hi Guys, try painting all the trim and door white. It will brighten the room and make it feel a bit larger. Try it, you have nothing to lose. Good luck. It has nothing to do with high or no traffic.
I must admit the green suits you guys better but that was a marathon of painting you did and really I'm just here for Parker and her chew toy. More Parker in your videos please.......she has fans too.
I have used a darker color on the ceiling than the walls and it looked great. I think the color was a little too dark for such a small area. Also, got a kick out of the (what looked like) pink shirt on Jeff and the green on Taylor at the outro.
Sooo happy you did not like that paint! Lol...and please please try leaving woodwork/trim white next time, that instantly made it look like a dark hallway in a bar
Forgot if you have a canvas art piece it fits perfectly over the fuse box, Home goods have lots of choices that what I did with mine. all the best fom Toronto
I loved your color choices of the 2 shades of pink. I think it would have been better to leave the doors and the trim white. That would have helped break it up and made it less overpowering.
Oh no! Wrong color, wasted time. The walls were tired of painting different colors. Thank god you change it into Green much better. Thanks Taylor & Jeff. Love you guys! 😎🏳️🌈✨
I was like "oh! Interesting election 😅" then Taylor said "We didn't like it" and I was like "Thank God" 😂😂😂 I loved the green! Thanks for sharing this crazy moments guys I missed your videos! 😊
I once had the brilliant idea to paint my kitchen peach. It looked like a bottle of Pepto Bismol exploded. Ended up painting it back to white. Never again will I paint anything with paint that has a pink hue to it.
That has happened to every person choosing a color and not liking it and repainting it. Maybe a light blue gray or green instead in the future would work.
Have you ever considered minimalism for the apartment? You have an overwhelming amount of stuff for the size. Not sure how much time you spend there, but couldn't you bring some of the clothes you need back and forth from your house and just leave a few things there? Just a thought. It is yours to do as you wish but it seems so claustrophobic.
There was nothing wrong with the first colors. All you had to do was paint the moldings and baseboards a light offset color, plus add a painting that has muted greens and tans, like a forest.
Kind of confused you just bought a house but then release videos about your apartment in NYC. Are the vlogs released randomly or do you two live in NYC in the summer and in the winter in your house on Long Island?
that grey electrical panel would drive me crazy, i am sure there is a way to prepare the metal which could hold paint or i would have to do something with it where it would not be a focal point and now my imagination is on overdrive trying to figure out something, someone help me
