Nice overview of the upgrade. I just ordered the X50 Journeyman upgrade for my machine last week! Looking forward to installing that and my water-cooled spindle later this summer.
@@twoelmbuilds it’s a 1.5kw 65mm spindle from an Amazon seller. I’ve got it wired up and bench tested but just have not moved everything to the CNC. I’m looking for both a bit less noise but also looking forward to not having the air blowing the dust around from the router cooling fan. Hopefully that helps improve the dust collection.
I made mine 60" deep because of the storage I have under the table that needed the extra length. It could be shorter at 48“ but it may be a tight fit if you ever want to fit an enclosure around it.
@@twoelmbuilds thank you. I’m kind of comparing sizes as I’m just about to build my torsion box. I like the extra space But then again I’m confined to a certain space.
