I appreciate the concern for Phe Phe walking away when the babies latch on. I assure you, the babies are nursing and phe phe sees me and automatically thinks I have treats.

It doesn’t matter what I’m watching,as soon as a post from COG HILL pops up I switch to it.😊

Looks like babies are struggling to latch onto remaining enlarged udder, perhaps you could help reduce by milking down like before, then bottle feed to babies this excess, once udder is reduced babies should be able to latch on again, be less sensitive for FiFi, poor lass. Baby goats are amazing! And they grow so fast! Lil Curtis quickly overcame his wobbly legs and fears that he was too weak. New feathered babies, too?! Spring is truly a time of renewal. Of course we cannot forget sweet Nugget - he's doing his best re their eggs. So exciting! I remain grateful Brooke and Jason share these wonders-of-nature with us.

I'm really happy about the mallard successfully hatching 8 babies. They are beautiful ducks. You're lucky to have them on your farm. One of the best unexpected thing that ever happened on my grandparents big farm was when a pair of whooping cranes came and nested close to their trout pond and were successful in hatching some babies. Some people came to the farm from a university and I think there was an article about it in the newspaper. I was a child but remember it being a big deal. When the birds flew off they never returned to nest their again. This happened in the late 60s early 70s. I'm going to ask my mom about it, she's 91 but blessed to have no memory issues, she'll remember it all.

I just adore the baby goats. With those eight baby mallards, I think you now have a total of twelve baby ducks. Jason's video showed at least four little yellow baby ducks. Lots of new life on the farm.
