Makes sense. I turn the radio down in the car to "see better" when driving somewhere I've never driven. I may as well put my glasses on to "hear better" as well. 🤷♂
Mandy, if I make the teriyaki meatballs I’m gona add some green onions and maybe some pineapple tidbits, maybe some ginger paste!! Yeah!! That sounds good
My husband is a police officer who works night shift so I often use frozen meatballs when I’m trying to pack him a quick dinner once I get home from work. Something similar to your teriyaki meatballs is a combo of the meatballs with sweet-and-sour sauce. Great dish also because you can throw in green beans, broccoli, etc., put it over rice, and bam complete meal.
I love using frozen meatballs in my crock pot especially during the fall and winter time. Pinterest is a great way to try new recipes. Ms. Gracie is definitely the star of your channel. I absolutely love seeing her beg for her cheese and chicken.
I'm by myself so make up a bunch of meatballs and stick in the freezer, thanks for the new ways to use them. Love you guys so much, God bless and keep all of you. Thanks everyone for the extra recipes in the comments.
We're a "no frozen supermarket meatball" family (we don't like the texture), so I bulk cook meatballs, I've been known to make 150+ meatballs at a time (two sizes mini and regular), baking them all in the oven, cool them, and freeze them. I just used the last from my most recent batch so I guess I know what I need to do this weekend! We had Italian Wedding Soup with the meatballs. Happy bellies!
Great to do,specially in this time,1 bag of meatballs at our grocery are $8-9.00, Thx,I am gonna start doing this and buy bulk hamburg, pork mixture like making meatloaf
Pioneer Woman a good big batch meatballs recipe. I use to make a ton. My grandma always did the same for Sunday dinner. That way she had more time to make the suga sauce and starter rolls. So good.
I just love Miss Gracie. She looks just like one of my kitties - Indee (she showed up - a starved little kitten - vet guessed her at about 11-12 weeks) at 1:30am on the 4th of July - her full name is Miss Independence May) Although she doesn't beg for just cheese, she thinks that I have to share everything I'm eating - of course that would not be good for her, so I have to disappoint her a lot - but I do share a bit here and there when it's safe to share - and cheese is definitely on her menu. lol Thank you so much for inviting us into your home. I always enjoy your videos!!!
I also use cranberry sauce for my "sweet and sour" meatballs, but I use Italian frozen meatballs and cranberry sauce - that's it - I just dump it all in the crockpot and stir occasionally (frequently at first) until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce has warmed up. My kids and family love it.
Just keep in mind, there are Homestyle and Italian meatballs, the flavors are different. I'd use homestyle for the Salisbury steak and teriyaki recipes for sure, and then Italian for other two recipes (just my choice and opinion though)
One of my FAVORITE slow cooker frozen meatball recipes = 1 (32 oz) Bag Frozen Meatballs.... 3 (10 oz) Cans - Mild Green Chile Enchilada Sauce... 1 (7 oz) Can - Diced Green Chiles... 1 Cup - Chopped Frozen Onions... 1 Cup - Chopped Frozen Green Bell Peppers... and 2 Packets - Original Taco Seasoning Mix. ----- Cook on Low for 6 hours. Serve with Taco, Spanish, or Mexican Rice and a side salad, YUM. NOTE: All of the listed items are Great Value versions, budget friendly and make for a very quick, easy, and delicious dinner. --- For my rice sides I use Knorr and always cook a side of plain White (long grain) Rice and mix the two rice's together and then top them with a little of the cooked enchilada sauce from the slow cooker and top with some Fiesta Cheese Blend.
I’m with you on the addition of onions in the Salisbury meatball recipe. In fact, I’m not sure I’d trust a meat recipe that didn’t include onions and garlic!
This videos timing was perfect! I’m doing freezer meals for a friend who just lost their baby at 21weeks. I homemade meatballs thinking she could throw together sandwiches, but having it already put together in a bake/casserole I think is a much better idea. Thanks for the amazing ideas Mandy!
Yes. I use frozen meatballs sometimes. I usually use put them in the crockpot/slow cooker with some spaghetti sauce. add a little spice and the frozen meatballs. Let them get done and put them on a steak roll and top them with cheese. Easy meatball sub night.
I use frozen meatballs in shish kabobs. Some red onion some peppers mushrooms and meatballs put them on your sticks and barbecue them and throw some barbecue sauce on their so so good. The great thing about it is your meatballs are cooked so you don't have to worry about that just means barbecue them until your veggies are done
I put in a hole bottle of A1 Steak Sauce, 8oz tub of sour cream and 1/3 cup of light brown sugar. My family absolutely loved this Swedish Meatballs. It is amazing.
All of the dinner recipes sound delicious and I am going to have to try them all! Also, I make the appetizer (frozen) meatballs for parties and such and they are always a hit. My recipe is one 12-oz. bottle of chili sauce, one 8-oz. can of jellied cranberry sauce, 2 Tbsp. brown sugar and 1 Tbsp. lemon juice.
I am not sure I have ever used store bought meatballs, but I love to make a big batch of meatballs (baking them in the oven) and ten separate them into smaller portions and freezing them for future use! A real time and labor saver. Oh yes, and I never remove my glasses to eat or anything. When I first started wearing them (nearly 60 years ago) my mother told me to leave them on my face where "they belong", so they would not get lost or broken. Old habits die hard :-) you have told the napkin story at least twice, and it is a great one!!!! LOL
A favorite at my daughter’s is crockpot frozen meatballs with one large jar of grape jelly and one can of chili sauce cooked on low for three hours. Serve with buttered noodles or rice. We had it tonight and the kids ate two full plates!!! Simple easy cheap and delicious. You can also make the meat on the stove pot in a frequently stored pot on medium to low heat or in a casserole dish in the oven on 350 for a half hour, covered dish. ❤️👍🏻❤️👍🏻❤️
I always put my frozen meatballs in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes before adding them to crockpot or mixing recipe. An older cook told me to do that year’s ago. I’ve been making the cranberry meatballs a couple of years, I add 1/4 cup OJ or orange marmalade to that same recipe, so good. I made the Salisbury steak meatballs when you had that recipe a couple of months ago. We love it.
I've been making the cranberry/chili sauce meatballs for years, but I add a little Lipton onion soup seasoning-maybe a half packet. It balances the sweet a little. I love the 2 brands of frozen meatballs you use, too. The Angus kind are my favorite. I love all your ideas!
Growing up my mama always made cocktail meatballs and lil smokies with cranberry sauce, never jelly. When I moved to Kansas, it was the first time seeing them made with jelly. My favorite way to make frozen meatballs is like Mississippi pot roast
I just made Hawaiian meatballs for a work potluck and they were a hit. Thanks for more inspiration. I definitely use frozen meatballs, such a time saver.
I never use frozen meatballs because like yourself, the consistency can be meh. What I do is...make a bnunch of meatballs and put them in freezer bags and use them up as needed. That works very well for me. Wanting to try your salisbury steak meatballs. I am always looking for new recipes for meatballs so I am so glad I watched thiss one. Thank you Mandy.
Thanks for showing all the great recipes. I'm going to try them all. I'll use frozen meatballs. I'm not that great of a cook. Anything that makes it easier l'm all for that. Love your family. Thank you for your videos
Mandy, I hope you read this comment because I have found the most delicious frozen mini meatballs from Trader Joe’s! Delicious and the texture is perfect! You need to try these meatballs!!!
I just made the Salisbury steak, meatball recipe. Oh, Mylanta!!! The next time I make it which will be very soon, I’m going to double the recipe because it went very very fast. You go Mandy keep ‘em coming. 🩷🩷🩷
I am adding two of these recipes to my meal plan this week. Thanks for sharing and these recipes are great for back to school and busy nights full of sport practices.
Im a new subscriber. My cousin sent me over to you and im glad she did. Thanks for being awesome and not always be saying organic this and organic that. Makes me feel like im actually doing ok not buying all that super expensive organic stuff. Thanks for keeping it easy and real
I’ve never cooked with frozen meatballs. Well now I’m going to try it with your recipes starting with the Salisbury recipe. Always love your recipes Mandy ❣️
Thank you for sharing these recipes. I’ve had a bag of frozen meatballs just waiting for a great recipe and you gave us 4 of them. Needless to say those meatballs won’t be in the freezer for long
Hi Miss Mandy.! 👋 All your meatball recipes look delicious and I can't wait to try them 😍 all ! I take my glasses off to eat. Otherwise I'm sticking my fork in my nose; instead of my mouth, because the food is too close to my face.! 😂 I use frozen meatballs all the time. My favorite is to put about six of them in a nice sized, one serving bowl. I add minced garlic, diced potato or diced sweet potato, Salt-N-Pepa, butter, and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. You make it in the microwave for about 6 minutes., or until your potato comes out fluffy and your meatballs are hot and tender.. At this point you can garnish with melty cheese, diced Apple, sauerkraut, and dried cranberries.!! Delicious 😋
I used cranberry sauce last time I made the cocktail meatballs and everyone loved them. I am definitely trying the salisbury meatballs, maybe tomorrow.
we make the salisbury one with one difference. I use cream of mushroom soup and one envelope of mushroom dry onion soup mix. It is really good. I do put onion and mushroom in it . will be trying some of these😋
Mandy, THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE DIFFERENT MEATBALL RECIPES. I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY THEM ALL OUT ONCE I CAN LEAVE MY APARTMENT. I JUST GOT HOME FROM HAVING SURGERY AND STILL HAVE STAPLES IN TWO PLACES ON MY BACK ALONG WITH NOT BEING ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR. THANK YOU AGAIN. Joanne
Since watching this. I’ve made the Salisbury Steak Meatballs with Mushrooms several times! The ANGUS BEEF meatball has been our favorite! I won’t even buy another brand or flavor! Being a senior citizen, spices really bother me, so I limit what I eat to unflavored Meatballs! Thanks for all you do! Y’all really are fun to watch! 😘 Hugs\Kisses
I always use frozen meatballs, my husband and I love meatballs with marinara sauce, and a side salad.. yummy!! I make my meatballs with chili sauce and cranberry sauce also.. easy and delicious!
Love frozen meatballs. Can throw them into pasta with red or alfredo sauce, use them with gravy mix as a main or on toast -with veggies for quick dinner. They are so versatile. Love cooking them in crockpot too.
Yes I do use them for meatball subs and I love the Italian kind for them. Also make spaghetti and meatballs with them. I really enjoy your videos, they are so entertaining. Thank you for all you do.
I leave my glasses on to eat and all the time except to sleep, I enjoyed watching you cook the meatball recipes, gave me some ideas about using them, I usually would just put them in my tomato sauce when I make spaghetti, or put them in the crockpot with barbecue sauce. I think I will try making the one that is similar to a pizza, it sure looked good. Thanks Mandy
I have made teriyaki meatballs for my family for several years now! We eat them about once a month. I always add green onions and a bit of pineapple, and we also like some Thai chilies in with ours. Half the time we serve it with rice and half the time we serve it with lo mein.
Great recipes! I cook with frozen meatballs. I do the grape jelly ones. Adding some pepper jelly gives them a kick! I also just defrost mine in the microwave. Its easy to add the thawed meatballs to soak in spaghetti sauce and then serve the mixture over spaghetti noodles. Thanks for all you do! Kisses to Gracie 💋😽 & some🧀
I do use frozen meatballs, but usually with a meat spaghetti sauce over some kind of pasta. This will give me some great new ways to use them. Thanks Mandy for another bunch of great ideas using a simple store-bought item. No need to reinvent the wheel every day!
Yes, I cook with frozen meatballs. Usually we eat the meatballs with spaghetti and sauce. I love these recipes and will be incorporating them into my menu rotation. THANK YOU for sharing.
I make the cocktail meatballs often but the teriyaki and Salisbury I never thought about doing that. Going to try both. Love your videos. You always give me great new recipes to try. 😁
I always use beef meatballs by the same company . They really good. One day I was cooking cabbage soup and I didn’t have any meat to use. The meatballs fell at my feet from the freezer I was just thankful I kept my toes . Cabbage soup with meatball. Is great try it sometime
I do take my glasses off when i eat. Every single time. I love evwryone of these meatball recipes. Im gonna try them. My husband will like all of them i think
Omgoodness, I'm going to make the teriyaki meatballs. I'm going to add some sesame oil and ginger to them. Thank you for sharing these with us Mandy. 😊
I was so excited to see this video pop up - obviously because I love you and the boys (and Gracie, of course) but I also have a bag of frozen meatballs in my freezer that I could use some ideas for! It's like you read my mind 😂 YES please do a live soon!! I love your live videos!
I love your videos! I make sweet and sour meatballs with the frozen meatballs and I put them over rice. I will try all of the meatball recipes in this video, as well. God's blessings to you all.😊
I don’t normally make meatballs, but I get the concept of using the sauce for them, because I always add some kind of home made jam/jelly to my barbecue sauce. Usually whatever jar I have opened. Thanks for sharing these great recipes. ❤😊
I use frozen meatballs to do the last recipe you made, however, I use both grape jelly and cranberry sauce, as well as the chili sauce. I also saute the meatballs with some soy sauce first, then add the other ingredients and dump into a crockpot. These are requested at Christmas eve on the regular. They are fabulous! Your recipes look sooo delish❤
I've already made the salisbury meatballs. I may never eat meatballs with marinara ever again. Going to try the teriyaki meatballs. They look so easy & so delicious! The pizza ones look good too! I've always made the meatballs with chili sauce & grape jelly too. I'll have to try the cranberry because I love cranberry sauce. I just added the ingredients to my grocery pick-up order. Thanks for all the great ideas!
