As a game collector, I am afraid that they will stop physical releases altogether. These companies will one day stop streaming those games and your money will be lost. (You will own nothing, and you will be happy)
I thought that this channel was a giant until be extremely surprised by the current number of subscribers... This guy has a true ability to communicate and the editing was pretty good. It's destined to be a YT giant.
Im the only one of my group of friends who owns an Xbox, but we all got gamepass, we either play cross platform or they stream games from the cloud on low end laptops but good enough internet. It's insane, im loving it.
The whole "keep ot cute method" reminds me of printer companies. Printers are sold so cheap compared to what they cost and it's a crazy loss for the company... but ink, they mark that shit up CRAZY. Ink cost around 50 cents per cartridge, but they sell each for 10-20 bucks
I've got a friend that used to just buy a new printer because they were always on sale, and for a time it was cheaper to just get the printer than change the ink.
DUDEEEE, this was an AMAZING video i absolutely love it. Everything from the humour to editing and the overall production was just simply goosetastic LOL. I'm subscribing to you AND MARK WORDS you'll for sure get picked up by the RU-vid algorithm
@@V4VideoGamer You can get 3 years of Xbox game pass ultimate for under 100 dollars which I think still works. I'd definitely recommend doing it now before the price does go up. Look up how to do it online.
Yep, you don't own a single thing. You don't even really own the hardware. All of it is licensed. They can brick your device and you have very little legal recourse because it is real easy to just say something was an accident and not intentional and that the software that makes your hardware work is still technically a license that can be revoked either. The ownership is entirely superficial now. But there is value in letting consumers think they own the things they shelled out money for.
The PS5 is more powerful than my current PC. If I were to build a PC with similar specs to the PS5, I’d be spending well over a grand, as opposed to the $500 the console costs (which also comes with the Dualsense, quite possibly my favorite controller ever.) Also, I like to actually own my games, especially the ones I love.
@@riefeio the duelsense is an amazing controller wtf 🤦♂️ it’s literally one of the best controllers ever made objectively. Also an Xbox isn’t as good as a ps5. Objectively the ps5 is just better in every aspect. It has more games. It’s as simple as that. The only thing Microsoft has is gamepass with literally no games. I have gamepass and that shit is boring asf. I’m paying 17$ a month just to play like a few games and never touch them again. Like you literally don’t need an Xbox. PlayStation has ps plus now which is a huge competitor to gamepass now. Objectively it’s obvious which console is better.
There are issues with this video, ik its late but: 1. Discs arent cross platform 2. You would need a Xbox or PC to play games (with Movies you just need internet) 3. Switch games arent coming to Xbox or PC
Gamepass makes sense for Xbox not Playstation. In the movie industry people were renting a lot more than they buy, so things gravitated more in the streaming direction. Gamepass only makes sense in a market were gamers would rather rent games than own them. Xbox gamers don't buy enough games Playstation gamers r not only willing to buy games they're willing to pay more for a premium product.
I can see I am preceded by glowing comments about your writing and production. Brilliant. If I taught a "How To" class, this video would be prominently featured. My sincere respect and appreciation. I learned something.
I get that some people don’t mind, but I personally hate subscriptions. I rather own a game that I get to keep forever than to play plenty that will go as soon as I unsubscribe. In my case I play mostly on single player so I don’t need the PlayStation+ or the Game pass for that. That being said, I think the real reason for not needing a PS5 is the PC, since they are porting the better version of their exclusives in there now 🤷🏻♂️
I rather own my games physically. I actually can’t stand the subscription fees that both systems have. Here is a concept make it free. First system to make there subscription free will get on the gamers. Example the ps3 was free online and wiped the floor with sales against the 360
Movies are passive, I put on a movie while I'm studying or playing games. Games are active, you are what makes the medium work. I've never seen someone so confident and so wrong at tge same time. Well done
@@anarcxh8502 maybe. I'm just stating what I do. When music is on I work out or do yard work. When I watch a movie or TV I'm studying or doing house work. Maybe because I have adhd and wasn't given medicine it helps me out. But something tells me I'm not the only one. But you can assume everyone follows what you do I guess if you want to make sure your in the in crowd. How about ask your friends, I think you'll be surprised
Microsoft is in a competition with dying or dead streaming services. We (the world) don't have the infrastructure to play streaming games. People don't buy new 4k tvs to play pixelated games! Also games you purchase disappear if their servers go down!
With digital the customer is perpetually paying for access to a game - but never owns anything. Both MS and Sony can yank a title offline whenever they want or need to. In fact they lost 12 titles just last month. MS's gamepass has players locked in. No monthly cash -no games. Everything ain't rosy baby.
Now with digital content being said, after your purchase not rent, purchase of a game. Like destiny2 to name 1 from a few. Try playing it offline or with no inter net, hard cooy included because I can not. Must be online.
PlayStation doesn’t have DRM. Plus I’m a fan of Japanese titles. I get what your trying to say but Microsoft isn’t a game monopoly to make your point practical. It to mention not everyone want to be on the internet to play games
I have played WAAAY more games that I NEVER would've touched in a million years, thanks to game pass. I also played a ton of games that I was kind of interested in, but never would've bought them because I didn't want to end up wasting my money, and then ended up LOVING several of them(Like Hades..), and liked a bunch of them a decent amount(Like Diablo 4).
Tim Horton will be your little goosling soon I'm sure. Your cliffhangers are killer... 😆 Great content for sure, loved the monopoly video. Easily subbed after watching the game pass video. Keep it up! From a fellow Texan.
I wish I didn’t need a PS5 to play my PS5 games but I think your talking about the PS4 console that you don’t need anymore cause the PS5 plays PS4 games
Better yet, Sony should invest more on that goddamn Playstation Now to be more accessible in more regions like gamepass does. Microsoft is giving a lesson in Sony in that department, since playstation 5 still don't have compartibility with PS3 and PS2 games.
I actually don't get the message of this video. Sure there are things like gamepass but you'd still need a device on which to play the games you get access to with game pass. A console is still the cheapest you can get for the given graphics power (because like you said, they sell them below manufacturing costs), so what's the alternative? A pc that achieves this graphics is quite a bit more expensive, I'd say at least one third more expensive. And when Microsoft is talking about how to get gaming to over 7 billion people, they aren't talking about how to get "real gaming" on console or pc quality to them, because those people cannot afford that by far. So they're talking about mobile phone gaming, and this can not in any way be compared with real gaming (maybe except minecraft). And since streaming of games doesn't work for most people, stadia was terminated just recently, I can only conclude that I still need either a console or a pc. Well, maybe I have missed something on the video, but that's how I see it. If I'm missing a point, I would be happy if you could explain to me
This is funny as hell.😂😂😂 l have both consoles. I prefer Sony over Xbox. My wife wants me to sell it cause l dnt play it.😂😂😂 I tell her I'm keeping it, just in case Xbox comes out with a game that is worth my time.
So this video was like a huge ad for Gamepass? I don't understand how Gamepass helps me play God of War. I have an Xbox Series X and gamepass but can't play Horizon Zero Dawn. Not everyone has or wants a PC with the horsepower to play triple A games. I still need a PS5 for all those PS exclusives.
Xbox did not create the streaming platform for games, Google did and they were mocked for it. Then Amazon created Luna and it was ignored. But MS does it and suddenly it was revolutionary and changed the gaming industry. I love gamepass and think it’s a great product, but ignoring the companies that pioneered the very idea is shitty. MS didn’t even pioneer the subscription concept because EA Play and Ubisoft+ existed before gamepass.
I don’t see that working , how are you suppose to stream a game let’s say off a game pass app on the tv without a console with out a graphics card or let’s say the ps5 super fast load times because of the ssd. How are you suppose to get all that without a console. You need the hardware . I’m sure they will find a way but I’m not looking forward to it I like having a console, not to mention I like physical games and the day that everything goes digital is coming. It all sucks the way it’s going with games all digital and the company’s wanting to get rid of consoles.
I would subscribe to have access to music and movies/show but not game because I know I do not have time to play them all. No problem buying an expensive console with the specific game I want.
The tittle was just straight up wrong 😂 liked the video and I like your other videos but I still need a ps5 to play exclusives. Also there new ps plus is a huge competitor now. And in the future it might even be better than gamepass. There literally no point in getting an Xbox. That’s a console you literally don’t need if you have a pc. You literally cannot say the same for a ps5.
Sounds like a good idea, but Internet is an issue. I pay 100 a month for 2 TB from Comcast, I don’t stream games and my family is already pushing that limit. And they’re the only ISP in the area. If Internet wasn’t an issue it would be more feasible
And in areas without connectivity? This is a huge reason why the internet "always-on" feature was a disaster for Microsoft. PlayStation has had their streaming platform for years now, but it's not the end all. There's a reason Google pulled the plug on stadia.
@@digitalphoenix72 yeah i had a recent network outage and my series x wouldn’t even let me play games offline. That is a BIG problem. I still have my ps4 so i played it during the network outage.
I tried the EA Origin access pass thing years back, it was $14.99 a month I think but I just really wanted to play some classic Red Alert 2, which I did, but as a working adult with a business, that one month of $14.99 wasn't worth it as I only played for a few hours that month and when converted to my local currency is too much, I didn't renew my subscription, It's still more worth it to buy a game on a Steam sale and play the game months later when I have the time. The one thing that game passes are extremely good for is pressuring you to play and make your money's worth.
My problem with Sony is that their party service, online game service, and ui in general has always been ass compared to Xbox. I tried to love the ps4 but this gen I switched back to Xbox and couldn’t be happier
I’ve been a ps owner for the past four gens. I’m now a Series X owner. The online is so smooth and game pass is awesome. I will say that i prefer ps4’s home/dashboard and custom options. Series X is lacking with dynamic backgrounds and a personal feel.
Lol, well it’s also because the steady fall of hardware prices going on from 30 years back for PCs compared to consoles. Nowadays for 1K+ you can get a gaming PC, and the form factor is constantly getting smaller too so it makes less and less sense to get a console and especially with game streaming services where you might not even need one after all. You can even connect gamepads to PCs now All of this not saying you shouldn’t get a console, you should get one if you want - it’s still fun, but the available options are growing larger and larger as compared to before (90s onward). I remember in 1993 for example a pretty top computer was almost 3K while the Super Nintendo was like $125 - making gaming affordable for those who can’t buy a computer. Those days are long gone as the bridge in prices has become closer and closer to almost comparable prices nowadays, whereas is just a matter of choice and preference and not budget 🙂
I never liked gamepass or cloud gaming I never have and probably never will I dont even like ps plus. When it comes to games I'd rather have them in physical copies and I just don't like to rely on some online service just to play and have access to games I'll get an Xbox not for gamepass but only because I don't like what Sony is doing right now
You will always need a PS5, Nintendo, Xbox ect. The only I believe is one day they will stop putting games on disk and eventually you will only download them. The only thing about downloading games digitally is that you can't lend your game to a friend or family because you don't have the disk copy 🎮🎮 God bless and stay safe out there everyone 🙏🏻
So what your saying is don't buy a ps5. But spend 2000 on a gaming computer. Regardless we need something to play games on and when it comes to consoles and PC the consoles are cheaper when it comes proformance. So this video is a waste of time.
I recently explained to a friend who is a Sony fan that despite Microsoft's low console sales, their software sells great (apart from Halo, ironically) because it's a big ecosystem of lots of types of markets. I don't personally go for the Microsoft stuff, but it's hard not to respect how forward thinking the platform agnostic approach is.
Quelle confusément, mais c'est goosetastic if it gives goosebumps! Maybe the idea is like mixing 2 languages together! Peut-être ? Perhaps not! I'm confused and isolé ! Very isolated indeed!
