I don't know about the current welding classes. But, you are correct that when I took "metals shop" classes in high school (40+ yrs ago), at our school, we weren't taught about Mig or Tig welding. School didn't even have the equipment. We were only taught to weld with the traditional arc welders, and how to weld with wire and a torch (the "old fashioned" way. And how to braze (sp) with a torch. I know that it's different. But I think that if I tried Mig or Tig welding, it would be similar to me trying to learn Algebra. Or to do most things having to do with technology (computers/smart phones). I would be lost. 😂😂

Never used the 90/10 but I like what I see. I have a full cylinder of 75/25.

Personally for most things I hate pulse spray if you run it for 8 hours you'll hear it for 16 I've also found it to be alot slower and not good for production welding

Where I work they make us run 95/5 and havent been able to find anyone there that can really explain why. We also run the machines pretty hot at 26v / 600ipm
