It was playing at the gas station in 83, the first time you 'borrowed' your older brothers Chevrolet. It didn't matter that you didn't have a license, you always looked so mature for your age. I loved that about you. We could drive right past the cops, they wouldn't question it. And when you pulled in at the top of that hill where we felt like we could see the whole world, and you leaned in to kiss me, the sky above us was on fire as most of our hot summer nights were. I lay so my head was by the car speaker and as you turned up the volume, and as this song began to fill the air around us, you filled my mind, all my senses. So young and care free. We didn't last past 85, but this will always be our song, I can't hear it without remembering those summer nights or secret meetings and wondering where you are now. I gotta say it: this sounds like a melancholy echo of the 80s. It's beautiful - like one of my fave versions of this song - but it sounds like what it is. An emulation and a pining for those days. Like it's trying to be upbeat, but Lana's voice and the lyrics make it feel like this distant loveletter. I really like that. I don't get t hat feeling from many other 80s remixes.

lana del rey was truly one of the biggest stars of the 80s. my mom says this song brings her a lot in nostalgia. i can see why. her face is so... perfect. she did stir up a lot of controversy back in the day though. anyways rest in peace slipping on a banana peel is a sad way to die.🕊🕊❤️❤️☹️☹️👺👺👺✨
I remember back in the hot summer of 82 I had my first kiss as this one great hit played, me and my friends all at the disco we held in my friends basement, decorated with streamers and funky lights, Johnny C, He danced over and there was my first kiss, wonder where Lana is now? Her songs really captured my adolescences :,)

Do it slightly more perfect with Acapella louder :) Sounds nice just the music is a bit busy for the softness of her relaxed voice for this chill out beautiful song plus the vocals are too low. Try Pasting over the vocals again exactly on them at atleast 25 percent higher vocals. maybe 33 percent. More Lana is best always. If you try it all again please see if making her voice slightly faster is best or make music a little bit slower. It can be attempt number two ok :)
