Young Animal Phase One in review 

I appreciate your take on the first phase, and choice of song clips for each title! Shade has been the definite stand out for me, though I do really enjoy Doom Patrol (I'm riding through it with a less critical lense, and probably heaps of nostalgia xD) and Mother Panic is probably my favourite part of Gotham right now. I also share a longtime love of Shade and was pleasantly surprised by this incarnation. All of the titles I definitely do read as Young Adult (YA = YA) and perhaps I give them more slack because of it. I can see how that niche element may be its downfall though... I'll just enjoy it while I can.

I love the artwork in Shade. Such a fantastic series. I thought Loma acting like a teenager is there to show that not all adults grow up, it works well enough for me, but I understand ylur criticism.

I feel like if you go into doom patrol saying "i just want saturday cartoons in comic form" you will fall in love. I certainly did, but this could totally be due to the fact that i had actually never read doom patrol before, I truly had no expectations; I only knew of them vaguely.

I appreciate this since I've been very interested in Young Animal and wondering whether to pick up trades one of these days.

3:50 si eso uno de mis 2 problemas de este comic, aunque lo disfrute bastante, el otro es lo comprimida que esta la historia asiendo que el ritmo sea muy veloz, no es el peor de estos casos pero hiso que mi mente doliera despues de leer unos numeros con la cantidad de cosas que estaban pasando, y no se si lo de las acciones de rettcoon lo justifican, tengo que releerlo un dia, porque vi algunas conveniencias e incogruencias como la doom patrol no se sorprenden de que jefe tenga cuerpo y mr nobody este vivo cuando el primero fue decapitado y el otro muerto en la etapa de grant, no me sorprende que esa compañia del comic haya perdido el control de su programa con semejante trama.

I was a little confused after I saw the cover that showed a girl wearing large shoulder pads. Was that an intentional Judge Dredd reference or just a "weird fashion choice" with no plot significance? I might look for the trade for this one.

Yeah the vast majority of this swill is SJW fodder....still gonna pick up a few issues though and reads me a few of them that there pages though(just on the DL, and I'll probably torrent most of 'em)
