he's such a versatile vocalist! im so used to his beautiful falsetto and his powerful high notes, but when he chooses to sing entirely in his lower register, he surprises me because of how gorgeous he sounds! it's not often he sings like this

i was always fascinated that his singing voice is so close to his actual speaking voice. i think that's one of the reasons his singing is so comforting- he feels familiar even if he has such a wide, wide vocal range. he really has a way to pull you in and MAKE you listen and feel without you knowing.

Aside from showcasing his ethereal voice, Young One also proves that Young K’s taste in music is top tier.

I really did not expect Moon River! Young K really casually dropped classic oldie out of nowhere and I'm lovin it🥺My dad is gonna be so proud of this one (sometimes more than me, and that's a lot coming from him who hardly likes covers of oldie songs). 오랜만에 영원을 다시 돌려 듣는데, 들을때마다 이거다! 싶지만 그 중에서도 제가 선정한 최고의 커버입니다..정말 듣기만해도 위로받은 느낌이예요. 영원의 좋은 점은 음원에서 듣기 힘든 현장의 생동감이 다 담겼다는 거예요. 주변 풀소리같은 자연의 소리가 음악과 잘 어우러져서 더 따숩게 느껴지고 자주 찾아오게 만들어요. 그리고 선곡이 하나같이 너무 좋아요. 영원을 들을수록 영현이는 자기 목소리의 장점을 알고, 어떤 곡이 잘 어울리는지 정확히 아는 것 같다고 느꼈어요. 사실 다 잘 어울리긴 하지만.. 특히 평소 듣기 힘들었던 재즈 장르를 많이 불러줘서 너무 고마워요. 아니 사랑합니다. 물론 자신의 강점을 찾는 과정에서 많은 역경이 있었겠지만, 그것을 통해 지금의 영케이가 되었고, 지금처럼 좋은 노래를 불러준다고 생각해요. 그 과정을 깨달아줘서, 지금까지 계속 함께해줘서, 음악을 포기하지 않아줘서 고마워요. 영케이의 나아가는 발전과 같이 저도 함께 발전해 나가고 싶다는 욕구를 가지게 해줘서 감사해요. 항상 노력하는 모습보면서 자연스레 제 삶을 반성하게 됩니다. 앞으로 저도 더 발전하는 사람되려고 노력해 볼게요.
