Listen "Slick", let's clarify a few things. Acknowledging a GOAT (Greatest of All Time) like Dave Attell doesn't mean we can't also recognize the current king who deserves a crown. Attell is undeniably the gold standard for crowd work, and for 15 years, he's been my go-to. However, let's not overlook the fact that Attell is a freakin' hermit, whereas Big Jay Oakerson (BJO) is a comedic rain-man, active and constantly delivering. Sure, BJO might be out of his mind, but he's also got all the answers, which are both absurd and hilariously funny. But think about it, it's not about putting mud on his onion, that's for you and yours. Name another crowd work comedian with BJO's level of cognitive flexibility, observational skills, versatility, timing, and risk-taking. I'm not here to disparage Attell-his material is timeless. I'm just thrilled that we have both these geniuses to enjoy and marvel over. So, yes, let's get this man a crown! @bigjayoakerson @dpclerks09
As someone who recently turned 40, there's no reason a 30-year old should look "old" unless they've spent their 20s smoking, over-eating or being chronically sleep-deprived. Then again, I guess 90% of Americans fit at least one of those categories...
