Young MC is legendary in hip hop even with a few major hits. Kinda like Special Ed and Tone Loc you can still hear their hits get air play till this day.
@cipriandobrea7369 actually Sir Mix A Lot had quite a few instant classics. Just didn't get a lot of radio play or commercial push because of content but had videos out. You must not know his discography. I was listening to his first album back in the 80s.
As a fellow Econ major, Young MC’s predictive in Vlad’s “what if” question is correct. Back when an artist signs their first deal, they have no negotiating leverage to get better terms because they are not a proven commodity. No labels were fighting over him back then. After you blow up, you have leverage but you’re often locked in your first crappy deal for a while before you can do anything about it, then your fame is usually over by the time you get your autonomy back.
Maturity vs Immaturity at its finest.. Just because a person is not in the "limelight" does not mean he or she has not been winning. Young MC is obviously a grounded and seasoned vet who has a wealth of knowledge about the music industry and just life in general Vs Vlad who represents the shallow, surface thinking younger generation that will hopefully morph into a person like Young MC.
My man in earlier parts of the interview said he was about to start paying for assistant and a manager and starting salary would be 40k to 70k a year. I would let that sink in if that's the starting salary and he has multiple employees in other places of business. He out here getting paid.
I was born and raised in the hood of the inner cities win bust A move came out everybody new even gangsters new the song by heart Young MC is a part of our history
Im a stand up comic and when i hear ppl critique ppl like Kevin Hart i just smh. These ppl have no freaking idea how difficult it is to become Kevin Hart. No matter if u think he funny or not. It takes hard work and talent to make it in showbiz and susbstain a career
No one's talking about how hard he works but if we don't think he's not funny he's not funny in our opinion it's entertainment can't be mad if your not entertaining 😂😂
Naw he definitely was a one hit wonder Bruh. He was immensely popular at that time but other than Bust a Move none of his other songs really did anything.
This is his best interview ever 💯 I enjoyed it so much..... and I'm not even a fan of him, but I remember his time frame.... fire interview 🔥 thank you vladtv
Young MC was definitely a “One-Hit Wonder” but because of him writing for Tone Loc and doing his business right he was able to keep Longevity in entertainment. That Label isn’t bad if you do it right, just look at what Vanilla Ice did with his opportunity
@@sarahsimpkins1311 yeah but it wasn’t considered a “Hit”. It’s like Special Ed, he only really had that one hit ‘I got it made’ or Rob Base with ‘It takes two’ they both had other songs but those were their only Hits
Young MC interview is fantastic. I like how humble he is towards his hard work as a writer and musician. He should be acknowledged and given a positive role model award as a Hip Hop Artist. His song "Bust The Move" will forever be one of the best songs in the history of one of the top hits. 💃 🕺
Vlad these are the interview we need next. we need a Delinquent Habits, Psycho Realm, Crucial Conflict, DV Alias Khris, Foxy Brown, Prince Paul, Ill Bill, Mad Child, Schoolly D, Rustee juxx, ESG, lil Keke, MC Mack, Skinny Pimp, Gangsta Blac, J Holiday, Case, Joe, and Mario.
Yet another time Vlad is flat out wrong trying diminish what others have made or stand to make only because he has beef with the person. Dame Dash....Shannon Sharp, Marlon Waynes....
