GB News Reporter Sophie Reaper gets quite emotional reporting on the D-Day 80th Anniversary celebrations live from Normandy: 'It’s just such an honour to be here and it’s incredibly special to speak with these men, hear their stories, and seeing the graves of those who fell. The sheer volume of graves is really quite upsetting.'
Prince William and King Charles were in attendance last night at the celebrations in Portsmouth, with Queen Camilla shedding a few tears in the front rows as they heard from veterans.

Regrettably we've now had 330,000 small rubber boats arrive with "opportunists" ( Parasites instead of Paratroopers - Infesting rather than Liberating Europe ) I was at THIS actual site (RANVILLE) exactly 40-yrs ago, so I know the sacrifice I also know of 'Massey Shaw' & 'The Medway Queen' & those they lifted from Dk Those men made great sacrifices & TWO of my direct family fought the Germans ( B.E.F > Greece > CRETE > North Africa (Libya, Tunis) & Italy (8th Army, both) Angers me that MY nation has been 'given away' so cheaply in recent years Ironic too that I was born 1,200 yards from a Hawker Typhoon & Spitfire Mk.IX base

I had the privilege of working with Canadian World War 2 veterans who fought on D-Day. They shared with me stories that were both sad and beautiful, and these memories hold a special place in my heart.
