They really did make his brother Erik super likeable (and a potential supporter of his brother’s relationship) and then just kill him off 😭

My poor boy not only is he all confused with how to handle his feelings cause he likes Simon. He now lost his brother, became crown prince and has the whole country watching him. Poor baby

When Erik died, I was like damn I cried. Cause he was the ONLY ONE in his whole family who loved him truly.

Eriks death came as such a huge shock but they foreshadowed this in the first episode when the lady asked Wilhelm to swap places with Erik. The way this show is written and all the subtle hints is just spectacular. However I refuse so believe Erik is dead. I need him to come back and whoop some ass 👀

I'm not kidding as soon as Wilhelm stepped outside and everybody started whispering, i knew. I kNEW something happened to Erik, it's the only thing that made sense at that time. The first thought that ran through my head was "Shit erik died"

I love that Erik seemed to know that Wilhelm might be gay , crushed on a boy in that last conversation he was accepting, and encourage his brother to be with his crush , leaving gender out of it, erik dying really surprised me this show is so good.

The fact the Erik will never find out about Simon....

Thing is, August *isn't* broke. He has assets that could pay his tuiton to school ten times over if he sold them. He just doesn't want to because it might lower his status as one of the elite

They kinda indicated Erik's death when you think about it. In the first episode the lady from the interview said to Erik and Wilhelm to switch places, now Wilhelm is the crown prince...

The way everything just escalates in this show is the beauty of it the unexpected twists and turns oh my god. Young royals is a such a rollercoaster ride of emotions i just can’t with this show. 👁👄👁

Not gonna like , I want ton of Erik flash back in season 2 bc I liked him that much, and I need more.

So sad Erik died, he was one of the few real supporters of Wilhelm. Now he has even more responsability, cause he is the new crown prince. He has so much to take in and deal with, with the greeving he'll have, trying to understand his feelings for Simon, and that I think it's gonna be harder for him to (be allowed to) fully be himself/love Who he want, because now he has to represent the family even more, and live up to the expectations that are so much higher.

Tracking Adam's ONE (and only one) weakness across reactions of Love, Victor and Young Royals. So far, we've got: 1) eye contact (when two guys stare at each other for a really long time) 2) two guys' hands touching 3) when a guy's shirt lifts up and you see the belly button 4) (Benji's) fringe falling in front of his face Have I missed something else?

It LITERALLY broke my heart when I heard "Erik is dead" seeing this scene again doesn't make it any easier. Their brotherly love was so amazing and he could truly talk to Erik and I feel like Erik would of supported him if he decided to come out.

YES. Felice needed a hug 😭 she misinterpreted his care as romantic in the moment. And no she doesn’t like him, she went to August to comfort herself after being rejected by Wilhelm. It’s shitty but August is a shithead so 🤷🏾‍♀️.

I think in a world where Erik doesn’t die, there’s a possibility Wille could be more open about his sexuality. But the whole point of a monarchy is that the title gets passed down the bloodline so the responsibility of having heirs falls on Wille now that Erik is dead. I hate that my boys are going to face so much more hardship, but the next episode is my favorite and has my favorite scene (anyone else who’s finished the show knows EXACTLY what scene I mean ⚽️ 🥅) so it’s worth it.

Now that you saw that scene I can say that every time you said "King" in your reactions it made me laugh because now Willie is literaly next in line to be king

Disclaimer: I have no life. I'm on my third watch of the show and, I'm feeling like Erik committed suicide. I'm sorry to plant the seed. I was watching the scene with him and Willie on the phone and there were a couple of statements that didn't scream happy Crown Prince. If you go back to watch it and set aside your excitement for Simon and Wille there were two moments that made me think, Erik is not happy!! Am I the only one?

The reason why Sara threw Felice under the bus at the dinner is that she has Asperger's... She can't always read social situations and can have trouble being able to tell what's appropriate to share and what isn't.

I've never been so upset to lose a side-character as I was to lose Erik. He hardly had any screen time but in the short amount that we did get, you could see how close he and Wille were and how much of an effort he made to ensure that he knew he had at least one person in his corner who didn't judge or see him as a fk up. And I think once he ascended the throne, he would've made sure that Wille was able to live the life he wanted to live. His death is such a loss. But, maybe it's just me, but I think maybe Erik was *too* perfect and I wonder if perhaps he had secrets of his own. Like, he grew up with expectations but he seemed smart enough to know how to carve out his own identity in the midst of all that. He knew how to "play the game", if you will. I'm hoping that though he is dead, we'll still get more character development in S2.

Awwww poor Adam I remember when I first watched this, I too was excited that they’d spend the weekend together at Simon’s house and then the fuckin train of Erik’s death hit so hard But I knew when he walked outside that it happened. I just assumed the whole show up to that point it would happen eventually. Him becoming the crown prince would create so much drama that I just always expected it lol.
