Thank you for articulating how problematic Marcus' behavior in this episode is! I've been screaming the same things since the episode came out. People kept taking about how perfect Marcus is and I was like NO! That was so manipulative. Plus, he totally ignored what Simon wanted. So many red flags. Wilhelm isn't perfect. Simon isn't perfect, and Marcus sure as hell isn't either.

One thing I will say about Marcus, once you see a red flag, if you rewatch l, you will start seeing others. Like him going into Simon’s room uninvited, him forcing Simon to sing karaoke. He’s very pushy.

Id like to point out that he was talking about Marcus in that scene with Rosh and Ayub…also he said “jag fattar inte varför jag kan inte bli kär i honom” or something similar which they translated in English to “I don’t get why I can’t be in love with him” but the word “kär” doesn’t really mean love in that sense. It’s more like “to have strong romantic feelings” so he’s basically saying he does t understand why he can’t feel something for Marcus like he does for Wille

I love how they implied here, or well made it pretty clear, that Eric wasn't doing all that good with his role either. That he struggled too with the pressure. That it's not just Wille feeling pressured as much but his brother just had a lot of struggles too although being raised into it. I think it changed a lot for Wille to know that.

"I'm having multiple feelings, it's okay" must be the most relatable thing anyone has said about watching this show haha. Thank you for calling out Marcus on his gaslighting. I liked him (against my will haha) up until that point, but I really don't know how so many people seem to still like him after that. And once you've seen his manipulative side you can't unsee it, ew, just get away from Simon please 😅

Marcus truly gaslighted Simon. He completely dismissed everything Simon was saying and just ignored his boundaries. Like wtf?! Red flag! I think Marcus definitely manipulated Simon into keeping their relationship going because Simon is so confused right now and in a vulnerable place. Sara and August threw me off during this episode too! I think this show is so good at showing us intimate moments that we were tricked into feeling for them ☺️. I think that Felice and Wilhem scene is one of those mistakes friends make when they're feeling lonely. Hopefully, they're mature enough to talk it out and get past it. Love you Adam! I literally cried when Wille and Felice kissed bc nothing was going the way i wanted it to and I felt like it was gonna ruin their friendship😭

I’m absolutely in love with Omar’s voice. One little tidbit that blew me away was that when he performs the song in full for E4 and E5, he sang it there in the scene. The vocal wasn’t recorded in studio later…so when you hear how good he is in those scenes, that’s him for real. He’s so insanely talented as a singer and is incredible in Young Royals. He deserves all the success and opportunities that come to him!!!

Yep, you called it. HUGE red flag! I could relate to your reaction. Thank you for calling out Marcus' emotional manipulation and gaslighting of Simon! Marcus discards Simon's feelings because HE wants the relationship. Even worse, he brings up and uses all Simon's deepest heartaches about Wilhelm, Simon's father, the effect on his mother to manipulate him into staying! It really made me SO angry and annoyed! It's also REALLY bothered me that so many people watching the show seem to miss how manipulative Marcus is and keep saying 'poor Marcus, look at the terrible way Simon is treating him/leading him on'. But Simon tried to be honest with Marcus and said he wasn't ready for a serious relationship and didn't know if he ever would be. Then Marcus rocks up to the rowing and deliberately kisses Simon and makes out that they're together in front of Wilhelm!!! He is NOT an innocent victim! Also, Simon is just not freely or truly himself with Marcus and rarely seems happy. I don't like it. I'm not a fan of Marcus or his relationship with Simon. Wilhelm and Simon will always be endgame for me. I LOVE them together! Seeing Wilhelm's heartache after seeing the kiss and believing Simon has moved on, looking at the photos of them happy together, his desolation as walked alone and listened to 'Lonely Ones' ... was heart-breaking! OMG I'm so emotionally invested in this show and in Wilhelm and Simon finding their way back to one another!

Wille tries to recreate with Felice as Simon did with Marcus. And both have to realize it's not working.

My favourite thing is to watch every reactor having a breakdown on the Felice Wilhe making out! 😂

Omar does have the sweetest voice, that scene where he plays piano and sings to his teacher i HAD GOOSEBUMPSS. His voice is so soft and beautiful

You are right on the money about Marcus. Simon made it very clear that he didn't want anything serious anytime soon. Marcus wouldn't take no for an answer.

I found the Wille/Felice scene pretty believable (esp for teenagers, and the situation and their emotional circumstances, history...) and have come to be really glad they got it out of their system. Like, they were for real at least once really Going There and testing it out, so in the end no doubt could linger about what they both want. Also thought Edvin and Nikita really pulled it off. But yeah, at the beginning when it ~Went There I absolutely squeaked "oh no" for a second. Then just clung to my trust for the show and actors to carry me through, lol, and didn´t actually mind it, and knew it had its function when you just got through that Dark Mid-Season Ttunnel. (I´d binged almost non-stop through all the pain by that point and was probably kind of beyond resistance in an "it´s all pain" zen zone maybe, so that could also be a factor) But, yeah, multiple feelings all throughout this season? Hell yes. (I mean, they made me go "aww" at Sara/August at one point! this show pfft.) Quality Content.

OMG I just can't wait for Adams reaction to episode 4! So much stuff happens in that episode, including character growth! I'm also really happy that Wilhelm finally went to a therapist.👏So many people go to one and they don't even have the extra pressure of being a public figure, let alone being a 16 year old crown prince with a shit ton of expectations and trauma about his brother and the sex tape...

My feelings about August this season were a frckin’ rollercoaster! One minute I’m feeling sorry for him and then ten minutes later I’m like …NOPE!

I really shipped Sara and August. August seems to care genuinely about her. And she's clearly not after reputation or any of his assets which is completely new to August. I mean, he's not even getting a lot of affection of whatever from his Mom. So having someone to talk to, to like him, while at his lowest, it seemed to do him good. August seems so much more at ease, even defends Simon after the lost match, rightly so stating its been for nothing. He even puts down his pills and I really hated the royal backup shit for him, as its this moment the whole pressure comes back to him. He never learned he can get love and acknowledge without this status and now he's falling right back into it.

Tbh I kind of liked August in that episode. Like what he said to Vincent after the rowing - protecting Simon and the tea that followed?! Yeah he made a BIG mistake last season, but I feel like he realised that as well and wants to get better, though no one (except for maybe Sarah) is giving him a chance. And that no one thought about him probably being next in line after Wille?! In season 1 they said he was Willes second cousin, so, with his dead father as the Queens cousin and no other sibilings of the Quen, he probably is the next in line of succession ... (right?) Also Henry is slowly becoming one of my favourite side characters of this show! He seems to be a real friend for Wille, even though Wille does not seem to realise. And his reaction at the end when he walked into the room? I repeated that so many times and laughed every single time. And for Felice and Wille - yeah I kind of prefer them as friends as well, but this felt really natural for me and not forced at all. They just needed the support and intimacy in that moment. And it showed that Wille might also be interested in women, just saying. Not that this information would change a lot as in my opinion he is destined to be with Simon 😄 ... and Marcus is just a big NoNo

The scene with Wilhelm at the bridge was the most beautiful scene in the series idk the music and the sun setting all the feels oof 😩❤️

simon is in love with Wille, that's why he can't be near him, because he will fall back into it. He meant "why can't i fall in love with Marcus?" since marcus is so nice etc. But obviously that's not how love works, which is what simon is realising

Marcus is a big fat ass red flag, definitely! I was so uncomfortable watching that entire scene, it gave me some big triggers, not a fan of that. Also Sarah and August, I have trouble with that, I think they do really like each other, but they are not meant to be? Like, August has to became a hole different person so he could be great for Sarah, and Sarah should realize that, the way it is, is just another toxic relationship. While and Felice, ugh! Not for me. I love their friendship and I totally get he was confused and hurt, but it is not fair with her. I rather them as friends, cause it works a lot better. Also, August next in line was a punch in the gut tbh, we kind knew since season 1 that he is royalty at some degree, but I would never think that he would be next in line even after everything he did. Doesn't the Queen know that this man is capable of killing While just to get to the crown??

Henry is noble born since he is in the same brotherhood society as August, Vincent and Wilhelm, ("noble and first born male") so their business must be som huge manor with lots of land...🙄🤮🏰

5:06 - you interpreted this scene wrong. Simon was telling his friends how he just doesn't feel it with MARCUS and that he doesn't know why he can't just have feelings with marcus. We're able to see here that simon can't replicate his feelings for wilhelm to marcus or try to move on emotionally.

hey adam i love your reactions so fricken much u always give such good commentary. I have a show to recommend which i think you would absolutely love. Its called arcane (idk if you have heard of it) its an animated netflix show about the struggles between two fantasy cities one poor and one extremely rich and the conflicts and people who live in it. It is an absolutely fantastic show with so much emotion and so much real world issues its one of the most perfect shows ive ever seen (dont ignore it just because it is animated it is so so mature with such a well thought out story) if you arent convinced yet there are gays and one of the gays is voiced by the queen herself miss hailey steinfield
