Dr.Linkletter proposed Meemaw in front of Sheldon, but Sheldon is too young to notice this. Meemaw tried to explain everything to Sheldon but he thought Meemaw is wrong.
Memaw: "You think you're pretty smart." Dr. Linkletter: "Well, I do have got two PhDs and a date with you on Thursday." One of the rare moments you can see Meemaw speechless. :-D
When Sheldon said to Meemaw, "You just care about what you want, you don't care about what I want, you're selfish". Does that implied that Sheldon is selfish too? Cause he wanted to go to the lecture just as what he wants, and doesn't care about what Meemaw wants. So Sheldon is selfish too. Double SLAP!
He is right though. Meemaw is selfish. I haven’t seen that many episodes, but the one where she and Georgie opened up that laundromat/casino she was really stingy with what she was paying him. And when the cop extorted a bribe, she tried to lowball him too.

(In Y.S) is a sweetheart, he was totally devoted to his family & despite the not-always comfortable banter he had with Connie, he did respect her on some level, admired her for being tough. Hate how BBT writers wrote his character as having had an affair. I Really cant wrap my mind around that one, he loved his family so very much, although he barely said it, he showed it.
@@timothylapeyre4764 Just remembered, Missy once said that they're all smart (Cooper kids) but in different ways. She has a point & it's a reminder that intellectual smarts is not the only nor most important. Each type bring something different to the table. Each are very much needed.
It’s amazing how Sheldon views what’s selfish and not…. To not put your personal needs over Sheldon learning your selfish…. Penny needs 3K to stay in her apartment he takes out a hidden wad of money and offers her thousands of dollars to be paid back when she can no questions asked….. You could love Sheldon and hate him in the same sentence… that’s why both shows work

Frankly I agree with Missy you should punish Sheldon for his attitude of everyone must due exactly what he wants without exception. Mary you need to realize Sheldon needs to be punished more than just grounding him, which means nothing g to him.
Let us count the ways & times (starting with the interaction when Sheldon pinholed his Meemaw into the lecture/date w/ Dr Linkletter against her wishes) Sheldon exhibited his own selfishness. Sheldon's the posterboy of selfish behavior. Swatting him on the bottom's great, but I hope she gave him a good tongue-lashing too.
