I thought my dad was a pos my entire life because my mother told me he was. When I became an adult, I finally got to know him. He's a great guy and their relationship didn't work because my mother is impossible to please and is unable to be happy (I know this from my own experience). I miss KS's insight. This is always the case where the mother is the root cause of every failed relationships. No wonder SO MANY single mothers discourage their children from reaching out to their fathers because they don't want the children to hear the other side of the story because there's two sides to every story. These women just act on impulse thinking they can ensnare a dude w physical pleasure and material goods…they don’t use best judgement about men and just think “oh he’s cute and drives a nice car”…the absolute ignorance in evaluating a partner is off the charts - and there is zero planning or protection or pregnancy prevention which is INSANE and makes no sense! My sister and I saw my father once after the divorce ( he married the other woman) we never saw him again. Didn’t know where he lived. Didn’t get any communication from him either. That’s how it goes sometimes. His side of the family didn’t have anything to do with us either! Can you imagine how weird that was?

When my Mom and Daddy divorced the only thing that changed is that my Daddy no longer lived with us. He was still in my life, at my games, plays, graduation. He was my mothers 2nd husband, my Mom married one more time, after her 3rd husband passed, when she needed help with the grandkids, my Daddy came to help her. They remained friends up until his death, she's living in the house that would have been their forever home but he passed away a year prior to her move. Trust, Mothers get blamed for keeping fathers away all the time but my thing is if a Dad wants to be in a childs life, He would move hell and high water to see his child.

Parental alienation is more common than you'd think. We have a family friend, this guy now and adult and has 2 kids and he is raising them alone. He grew up with his mother whom alienated him from his dad, Now an adult he reconciled with his father and got to know the truth and now doesn't even see his mom anymore, he completely disowned her for all the lies she was feeding him as a young boy, therefore he grew up fatherless and now the two of them are making up lost time and do things together. I come from a family of doctors, and my wife is an endocrinologist. RNs, nurses etc it's all the same stuff they are low paid manual laborers in hospitals, and that's why you never see doctors marrying nurses they are different social classes, and its like marry the cleaning lady.

I have gone through a living hell the slightest thing pisses her off I go through sexless marriage for half a year. She said she moved out from her last relationship because he cheated on her or was more like this type of behavior and he said get out so she had to be humbled and go back to her parents colored hair, a stripper part, actor extra. will never admit to fault will always spend the narrative in her favor and once again I'm evil and misogynistic we have five horses she cannot afford. I'm disabled mechanic for 40 years. I am 61 years old and she is too. I told her the shits going to hit the fan again in America. It will be terrible this time to be alone, your thoughts?

Sounds like a fd up situation. How much do u gt for disability? Are u able to seperate? You have to weigh the odds would you rather be alone or walk kn egg shells for the rest of your life. Which in your 60s is going to natrually be limited. You have 20 years or so times are changjng but its not the end of the world or america yet. The biggest determining factor is are you able to leave if u want? If so just leave, offer to get therapy with her if she refuses bounce. @@sergdavidmatos
