Try to use Menstrual cups, it convenient and reusable also cost effective. Once you use it you’ll never go to sanitary pad again. It is comfortable nd you’ll b relaxed from all discomfort caused by t sanitary pad.You save money that you’re spending it every month.

This is really nice. Even though I may be a guy, I make it a point to carry spare day pads in my bag whenever I go out. You never know when you can help a poor girl in need!

A better long-termed solution would be for the local supermarkets to make some no-frills brands and the government to make them GST exempted. Even now the UK has made all these women sanitary essentials ""tampon tax" abolished! BTW weren't the machines to make material for surgical masks in Taiwan moved back to SG? Why not utilise them to make cheap women's sanitary products?

We should have a small tax that we all contribute into to fund free monthly supply of pads to every girl or young lady once they start getting their periods. It's a human necessity and obviously a large portion of our population can't escape it. I'm a guy and I don't mind paying into such a tax (share the costs mah!) It can run on an automatic renewal prescription basis to make it as convenient and accessible as possible - walk up to a supermarket, store, pharmacy or even a vending machine, scan NRIC and collect, easy hopefully. I'm not sure on how to decide between pads, tampons and cups though, and how many each month (I'm neither a medical professional or a lady). This part of the discussion would also be enlightening, educational and informative for the public.
