2015 international was my first time going, competing and getting exposed to all of these performers. I'll always hold Instant Classic's winning performance in my memory as I watched the other barbershoppers around me start crying during their set.
Same. The new bass is great, but I miss Martin. He had to leave because his kids are growing up... once they're big enough, maybe he can start quartetting again.
that hit me way too hard haha. Didler is doing really well, i think its giving Rasmus, Eman and Jakob some really great exposure, their new sound really appeals to me because there is so much talent in their high voices and its brought out more by better blend. Didler is also finding his way, he hasn't won 4 conventions and sang with them for 10 years like Martin, sorry for the rant haha. Martin all the way tho
From another metal musician to another, I made sure my bandmates are aware that I have to balance our band with my chorus and my quartet because barbershop is that important to me.
You'd be a GREAT LAKE! #MainStreetHumor. Literally one of the best Fantasy Quartets I've seen. So much fun to watch, all of these guys are legends in their time.
"Only in barbershop would this be anyone's fantasy....Drink it in ladies." Holy crap I laughed my head off on that whole intro with Jim Henry making comedy. What a great sound! Did they do an uptune too?
I love Stephen Foster's music! His songs pop into my head and start playing sometimes. So, I came to RU-vid and found this awesome rendition! I have also visited the state park in White Springs, Florida.
I can't tell if this is a joke, because Tim and Kohl make some sense, but David isn't a good bass. Just because he can sing a low E or whatever doesn't mean he has the projection and tone.
Well since people are doing it. My fantasy Quartet (with no repeats with past fantasy members or two from the same quartet) Tenor: Paul Saca/Joey Buss Lead: Chris Vaughn/ Jacob from Ringmasters Bari: Emmanuel Roll/ Kohl Kitzmiller Bass: Dan Walz/ Bryan O’Dell
My fantasy quartet Tenor: Tim Waurick (Vocal Spectrum) Lead: Daniel Cochran (Signature) Bass: Martin Wahlgren (Ringmasters) Bari: Theo Hicks (Instant Classic) No idea if it'd sound good but they're just some of my favorites
Connor Havenaar - those are verrrrrry great choices. Martin and Daniel would have a great blend I think, because Martin has a very bright and forward placement just like Dan Walz. And Tim is just a beast and so is Theo
my fantasy quartet Bass- Theo Hicks (lead instant classic) Lead - Martin (bass from ringmasters) tenor - Jeff Oxley (bass from Max Q, acoustix) baritone - Gene Cokeroft (tenor from suntones)
My fantasy quartet: Tenor - David Zimmerman (Instant Classic) Lead - Jakob Stenberg (Ringmasters) Baritone -Emanuel Roll (Ringmasters) Bass - Dan Walz (Signature)
It''s the crime of the century if they only got together for just one song! They are all superb singers and what a treat it is to hear them here together! I especially love the sweetness and expressiveness of Mike Slamka's voice. He is partnered here to perfection by the rest of the fantasy quartet. I wish somebody could persuade them to make some CDs! I first heard Mike Slamka sing in the Crossroads' wonderful performance of "Lucky Old Sun." I suppose most of you are familiar with that stunning performance, but in case you haven't heard it, here's the link for it:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u7mGjSZpdpk.html
That's a quartet of great leads right there :D. But I'd put my money on Brandon for the bass part. That guy can rock anything like it's nobody's business!
To add to that I would say that the alignment would be: TENOR: Tim Waurick LEAD: Jacob Sternberg or Theo Hicks BASS: Brandon Guyton BARI: Theo Hicks or Jacob Sternberg
PCFDD I think he wasn't quite present as he usually is during that last chord which is why they cut it earlier. That's how good they are. They read each other. Eh
PCFDD Also, 4:42 both the Lead and the Bari cut off to give the tenor his solo on "Glow", Jim Henry kept it going for another second and backed off. Not a big deal and well handled
@@dancalkins97 I originally watched this video about 6 or 7 years ago and I come back to it every couple months. Ever since I first watched it I wondered what on earth he could be apologizing about and now it seems you’ve finally cracked the case I can’t believe that never occurred to me LOL
