I am a big fan of the Colorado. Especially the ZR-2 trim. I have had 2 & plan on buying the new version as soon as it's available. However the Colorado is Not priced even close to the Maverick IF you put an order in. IF you have to buy off the lot with the Maverick high market adjustments, then yes I would probably buy the Colorado too.
It is obvious people want a simple affordably priced vehicle without All the expensive add on features. However most manufactures sell their cheap vehicles at breakeven, a small loss, Or at maybe a small profit post Covid. But they actually make money on the expensive Trucks & SUV's. This is the reason Ford discontinued all their cars.
You're orders in. What to expect in the next several months- 1-cold sweats 2-You'll wake up & find yourself standing in the middle of your bed screaming. 3-You'll be plagued with nightmares about what the hell have you done? 4-You'll take up drinking. 5-You'll become over anxious 6-You'll park down the street from your dealership & watch for deliveries. 7- !
Haha... This is Good.... And pretty accurate. Fortunately I've gone through this Several times now, so starting to be able to handle the wait better. 1) Model3 - 3 yr wait 2) Bronco #1 1.5 yr wait 3) C8 wait 13 months 4) Bronco Two 1.8 yr wait 5) Maverick #1 - 7 month wait 6) Maverick #2 9 month wait 7) Ford Lighting TBD 8) Tesla Cybertruck 3 yrs so far, only 3 more to go😜

Good video thanks. Quick question I did get my order in during the 5 days to order. What’s your opinion on selling a lariat hybrid when I revive it through Carvana or vroom. I have heard they we’re buying them for a high price.
Not sure I understand your question. Are you saying you have a hybrid Lariat now, but also a 2023 order? There are not many Hybrid Lariats & I think they will hold their value very well. Especially since less will be made in 23 & they are already Sold out.
Joe, selling to a flipper gives away your equity. Sell PP it's easy. Or better yet keep the Mav. The savings in gas will add up to much more than a short term profit. I like them so much I bought 2 that I show on my channel.
Yes I would have kept it but bought a new Honda Ridgeline back in the summer. I had a 2022 Ridgeline then with a build date but was a bit unsure of the Maverick then so cancelled my order. So have the 2023 on order but may never see it. Thought I could flip it for a profit. I thought people were getting some high dollar profit on the hybrids. Thanks any more advice I would appreciate it. Joe
@@joecamel8182 When you canceled your 2022, your dealer did not cancel with Ford. They were probably high fiveing each other after getting a 15-20k ADM. That would have lowered your Ridgeline cost. As for your 2023, you could sell PP or keep it as a daily to save gas. Use the Honda AWD for tow, off road and snow. I have videos of my hybrid and AWD on my channel for the best of both worlds.
My dealership who I put my order in with let me know they're getting 93 Mavericks for 2023. They put in 3x as many orders 😬 so now just a hope and a prayer that mine is one of those 93 selected.
With only a 5 day window, you would think that would keep orders to less than capacity. But with all the pent up demand there was a big rush. I hope your build makes it, the videos on my channel can help you through your wait.
When you say approx 8 month wait for 2023 orders are you referring to both ecoboost and hybrid? I am hopeful that I have a simple ecoboost build without constrained items and can get scheduled sooner.
It depends on 3 things 1) What day your order was submitted 2) What Priority # your dealer assigned it & 3) Your build. A simple Ecoboost would be 1 of the fastest. I wouldn't expect it before 8 months, but you might get lucky with an EcoBoost. Good Luck!
There is a lot of hope because 2023 production starts the end of next month. You have just as good a chance as anyone to get scheduled! In the meantime, the Mav videos on my channel can help you get through your wait
What I've seen/heard: '22 orders did NOT get automatically get rolled over. Unfulfilled orders had to be re-entered by the dealership. Rollover orders were not automatically given a higher priority. Priority needed to be determined by the dealer. They built 10,000 Mavericks in August There were 86,000 orders received in the 6 days they had the window open. 65% Ecoboost, 35% Hybrids to be built. 8% of the total (all will be Ecoboosts) will be Tremors. Orders were about 50-50 Ecoboost vs Hybrids.
Good info Craig. Nearly everything stated above lines up to what I have read/seen as well with the exception of the 50/50 split. Can you share where you read or found that?
Ford has already stated that there will be no price protection for anyone that doesn't get their ordered '23 built that has to reorder a '24. All we know at this time is Ford received approx 86k '23 Maverick orders. Not sure the percentage was between Hybrid and Ecoboost. Let's hope they actually get built..🤞
We know the % split they will actually build. Only 35% Hybrid (less then last year) 65% Ecoboost 8% which will be Tremor. According to at least 3 different dealers 75% of their orders were Hybrids. Which means Alot of Hybrid orders will Not be built in 2023 & probably the reason they shut down orders so quickly.
The 35/65 is what Ford said they planned to build of each motor type. Then you have the different models- XL/XLT/Lariat which is another part of that equation. So far all we know for sure is there were 86k + orders. Will Ford be able to fulfill all our orders??.. 🤞
Off subject but what do you think of the new Trailblazer? It's cheap and has a high reliability rating...will it appreciate until 2026 like the Maverick? Have you already done a video on it?
I like the Trailblazer & yes I did a video on it (5 vehicles not on your radar) It is an Ultra modern small SUV with alot of standard features that looks good. A good buy if you can get one for MSRP. I would pay a little over sticker for Oasis Blue which is an awesome Turo color. It won't hold it's value quite as good as a Maverick since it doesn't have the bed, but will do better than most small SUV's since it is a new clean design & very popular. Inventory has been an issue, but many are starting to hit dealerships now.

@@fordmaverickmaniac Sorry but I don’t understand your answer. I was saying that my dealer told me they couldn’t change a priority code that their codes were given to them from Ford.
After my 2023 order (reaccomplished 2022 order) shouldnt I have gotten an email from Form confirming the order? Its been 10 days and all I have gotten from my dealer pestering is that my order is in with Ford as status "B" but the dealer says they don't know what that means. Any guesses? Thanks for the clear and honest vid with your first hand experiences!
Sometimes the dealer wants to be in control of the communications. But you need to know order status directly. Tell Ford cust service so they enter your email. My channel has over 70 Mav videos that can help you.
