@@zabiricon7478 Carmelita beat her most of the time. Championships went back and forth with Shelly Anne winning Olympics and Carmelita winning champs. Jeter was the faster athlete while SAFP was the smarter athlete.
@@stevie586 where and when jeter only big win against Shelly was 2011 daegu and maybe a few diamond leagues Frazer won Gold at 2008 Olympic, 2012, gold at berlin 2009, gold moscow 2013, gold Beijing 2015 and gold doha 2019 remind me all jeter wins again.
In slow motion, her sprinting looked so beautiful and different. Between the split seconds each foot touched the track, Camelita seemed to be floating in the air. It's a joy to watch.
Campbell Brown, Fraser Pryce, Lauren Williams (back lifts), many lady stars from Gail Devers, to Marion Jones, to Sha Carrie Richardson in 2020/21 but I have never seen any woman fly like Flo Jo or Carmelita the JET ✈️. Not sure what John Smith did here but she flies. Her form is a beauty to watch. 2021 and I cannot get over her and her form.
The most technical sound runner since FloJo. My favorite race was her WR 4x100 anchor! Her emotion was so real!!! That's what brings Track and field to life.
Every single thing was soooo perfect about her form except her failure to completely relax, and maybe her starts could’ve improved jussssst a little. Otherwise, I mean, that sprinting form gets no better...not even SAFP nor ET’s form are close.
@@jameswittmann1608 are you 100% certain about that? Not saying you’re incorrect, but I’m not sure you are, given many dramatic improvements I’ve seen on that level. Even Usain Bolt went from 10.03 in 2007 to 9.58, with more in the tank in 2009. I haven’t heard of him being bashed as hard as Flo-Jo, when those improvements are not so far off.
That is where she should have taken a page out of the great one flojo handbook... The true reason why flojo retired was because she marketed herself.. she came out with books.. she was acting.. she designed the Indiana pacers uniform.. she opened two boutiques in Japan.. she had a exercise DVD.. she wrote a book. She had a baby doll.. etc she was so busy she could not train. Properly. mission was accomplished.. now it's time to get rich.. do you know they started calling her cash flow.... Flojo was a household name... She marketed herself that's something that Carmelita Jetta did not do that was a big mistake..
Sorry, but incorrect. She was good for 10.7 prior to tearing her muscle, despite running 10.6x twice. Jeter’s only flaws in form I can find are her often average starts, and she almost never, ever, relaxed! If Jeter relaxed more, she likely could’ve gotten into the 10.5’s, I believe.
Can you imagine how faster Veronica Campbell-Brown and Carmelita Jeter would of run if they were still competing today with technology and faster tracks
To me the flow of her body running was just stunning. When you see slow motion, both front and side, you see the elegance of her posture and wickedness in her face. Amazing.
When I coached track and field, all of my runners had to analyze her running with me. I just always thought that she should have gotten into her acceleration stage sooner. She probably would have broken the world record.
Only issue with Carmelita Jetta is her lack of overall consistency, considering she was and is the best ever sprinter since FloJo in my opinion. Fraser-Price is a close second for me
Favorite 100m runner ever. To me Usain is second. Did you see the line up when she won Olympic gold. Usain never had so many runners so close to his time. That line up Jeter faced were all in her par and she pulled ahead with just amazing form and heart.
Carmelita is a beautiful woman great sprinter i appre iate her very much it would of been if she was still running but she sustained a injury that stopped her from participating in the olympics.a person have to know when to stop.your so they take care of themselves.
I always wonder what happened to Carmelita Jeter, she was a great runner. I was happy to see see her beat Shirley-Ann. N then again I love track n field runners fromm all states.
Camelita Jeter was an excellent sprinter with a beautiful face and excellent form. You don't have to lie about or put another sprinter down to big up the other. There will always be a younger faster sprinter coming to take the spot because you eventually age out or injury out. So stop talking smack about Camelita
I'm sorry... Jeter was fast and Shelley Ann was taking loses back then...now in 2021 and 2022 Shelley Ann still running and setting Pb's...yeah she taking something.
