Hi. I’m so glad you’re here for our video about yellow. You’ll see how Spring’s light appears to shine through colours, making sheerness, layers, and transparency so beautiful, and how Autumn’s light is able to go around objects. You’ll see how Autumn colours are like Summer in being soft, just asking to be combined, compared with Winter’s colours that shine when they stand alone. Lots of examples ahead!

I absolutely love yellow! And felt so liberated after I was draped as a TW that I had "permission" to wear my lemony yellow 😂. Something that confuses me though, if a cool yellow is within our pallete, why is it that if we add even more blue to get closer to say a lime green, that suddenly becomes a "warm" green rather than an extremely "cool" yellow? Like, where and why is that line drawn? I understand it if we are just looking at colors in isolation but, *technically* it is a cooler color so I'm having trouble making logical sense of it.
@ChristineScaman

TW wearing their yellow can be one of the greatest surprises. Even in a smaller area in print and the person looks fabulous. A colour chemist or pigment expert might be the one to answer your question, but I wonder if one answer is that we simply leave the yellow group and find ourselves in green, yellow having less versatility and smaller ranges than other colours. I imagine any colour can only get so cool or warm before you move to the next colour family.

As a Dark Autumn I cannot find the right yellow because it’s never “Yellow” it’s always dark gold or mustard although that Dark winter yellow looks like something I’d like to try 😂

I'm like you, there are so many colours I'd love to wear well in other groups, and you're right, yellow doesn't look like yellow in True and Dark Autumn. I'm envious of DA though for how rich the colours look, their versatility in textiles and textures, and how they get better and better in combinations. And how plentiful they are in stores! DA is the ultimate easy-to-be group, plus they wear black well. I mean, DA just keeps adding up. Dark Winter yellow is super nice but it's so hard to find that I can see why people give up looking for it. As a believer in wearing every colour in our palette, there are still a few I don't have (I am Dark Winter) and may be looking for a long time. DA can be there in the first year even in Canada where the market is a fraction of what's in the US. Like I said, DA envy :)

True about Dark Autumn indeed. As to Dark Winter yellow, I would compare to Christmas ball. They are slightly leaning towards gold, but are not golden yet, darker than true yellow, but neutral in tone. The purer version of DW yellow looks frozen, but not as icy as TW one. Bright Winter yellow is carnival and very much close to spring yellow.

@@ChristineScaman yes, it's a great example. There are a lot of such interesting observations spread throughout all your videos. Some may work for season in general and everyone could try, some are more specific for particular subgroup but work like magic. First example from my brief memory - zippers on total black as enough contrast for winters. You do not find in standart recommendations something like "try to wear yellow purse with rust accent". I am very curious about such observations and it feels like finding hidden jems. I totally understand that it is a personal vision and not "one size fits all", and also body lines/bone structure and personal style plays a huge role. But nevertheless it's just pure joy to observe something that works and harmonizes.

I've been thinking about this video for the last few weeks. Well, maybe I never stopped. I've been looking for something iconically yellow to use as a reference point for BSp's yellows. Butter wasn't it, and neither were egg yolks. Daffodils might work, but I don't have any here and the color might be wrong on a screenshot. I've been keeping my eyes open for quite a while. I think that yellow jade is what I've been looking for. It seems perfect. I'll know for sure when the beads get here. It will be so helpful to have the right yellow to hand. Maybe what I should do is wear jewelry pieces that match certain fan colors. So maybe the beads are the right yellow, the ring is the pale coral, the watches are in a variety of strategically-chosen accent colors... if I also had a reference to gray or taupe and another to white, I might never need to carry my fan again. That would be so fun to wear. Nice to look at, too. My fan colors have often been my favorites to look at.
@ChristineScaman
@ChristineScaman Год назад
The beads are a great idea. I gave my sister a bracelet to shop with and it helps guide her choices, better than I expected it to. The neutrals for BSp came later in my learning curve (and still learning). There's so much variety, like True Spring, with fairly big steps between the colour ranges, like Winter. You know you can buy them as kits of 12, right? You probably already knew this, I'm just mentioning it because that's what finally solved shopping for neutrals for me. Still carry the fan though, ever on the lookout for the 4-5 colours I don't have yet.
@sherryzmezzo
@sherryzmezzo Год назад
@ChristineScaman What I really need is something blue. I find it very difficult to distinguish my blue -- one in particular -- from similar ones that some Winters and Summers have. Sometimes, to my eye, my colors don't seem bright enough, and I veer into BW. Especially with the hot pink and that blue. That seems crazy to me. Not bright enough? But there it is. I usually carry my fan. It's also helpful just to sit and look at it. I didn't know about the kits. I'll go look. Thank you.
@ChristineScaman
@ChristineScaman Год назад
Sometimes the reason a colour feels 'not bright enough' is that it isn't warm enough. It can be hard to tell the Brights apart by brightness and darkness isn't that helpful either. I find it easier to focus on the differences in warmth. Jorunn and I did a podcast episode on using our palettes, maybe it was called 'Harmonizing...', that talked about this, you'd find it at chrysaliscolour dot com under Podcasts. Also the Nextdoor Seasons video may help. Darker blues for BSp are fairly forgiving, I find, since warmth is neutral and darkness is manageable, but you probably mean lighter blues. I hear you that they can be confusing, they somehow don't look like you thought they would and they're unique both in retail and fabric stores.
@sherryzmezzo
@sherryzmezzo Год назад
@@ChristineScaman And, as you've said, 95% of the clothes in stores aren't for us.
@ChristineScaman
@ChristineScaman Год назад
BSp is like any Season, maybe 3/4 of what's in stores isn't for our Season, whichever of the 12 it may be. Some colours in BSp are harder to find (those lighter blues), other are easier (turquoise, coral, white) or have enough options in a colour to raise the odds (yellow). When I add pins from retail to the Pinterest boards, BSp takes a little more searching than the Autumns, but not too much. If you live in the US and are ok with online shopping, you could get really good at it. I hear you though, there are colours in several groups that I have yet to see in fabric or clothing (SSu and SA surprisingly, BSp, DW, TW, OK probably all of them). The great thing is, you don't have to be perfect. Close enough is still so much better and you're working your way towards a closet with some of everything.

Thanks for this video, Christine! Very helpful. Do you have more affordable suggestions for a yellow SSu handbag or scarf? I suspect that if I had even just one item in the correct shade then I’d hav an easier time finding variations of it. I have the SSu classic fan, but still struggle with that yellow. Video idea: Would you take a video to go more in depth between SSu and SA pallets? They have a lot in common, it seems to me, so I struggle sometimes with some of those colors that are so close. The bluer greens, the blues, even the purples, all look so similar. I love your verbal descriptions. It helps me to see the differences. Like, "Ah yes, this yellow doesn't have enough 'tea' in the lemon ginger tea." Well, that was for comparing it to other summer yellows, but you get the idea. I'd love more descriptors for telling the difference between SSu and SA colors. Thank you so much for all the work you do to put these videos together! I'm sure it takes hours and hours, and I want you to know how much I value every minute.

Entirely true about having one item as a reference and guide for finding more, it works really well! I had previously pinned all sorts of yellow items in Pinterest that seem to have vanished, so I'm in the process of adding more over the next few days. I'll keep affordable bags in mind for everyone. The link to my Pin boards is in the Description box. The question about SA and SSu has been requested by others as well. I've thought about it a lot and have not come up with a 'theme' that would show well. As you recognize (and I appreciate), I try not to get tangled in the colour dimensions, especially on RU-vid where newcomers might not understand or have enough context. I also love those R-brain analogies, my relaxed mind is happy to go there. And I love the comparison example-games. Thinking, thinking.... well, what would you think of a video of those comparison games, like in the Winter panel? Please do help me build this, it will go faster and I'd love to find our next topic and a new category. Given that my 'creative analogies' run out, would that approach be useful to you? Thank you for mentioning the time it takes. You're very kind. I love every moment of it, the videos being the hardest thing I do and the activity I enjoy most, and I so appreciate all advice and encouragement :)

@@laughloveshop2618 Thank you, I'd love to do a collaboration. If we come up with a structure of some sort, it will give me a focus. We could have some comparison type where-does-this-colour-belong challenges, also what matters and what doesn't. A possible approach or theme might be just what you said, "so many colours look the same". Glad the video brought back some memories! You reminded me of a tip I should have put in the video. For that yellow around the face, if you have a closeup picture of your eyes and they have yellow in them, find the nearest reasonable match in your palette. By reasonable, I mean that photos never show colour perfectly and if you guess the yellow just by looking at your eyes, you may not get it right. Your palette knows your eye colours, choose the version that's closest. If there's no yellow, look for the complimentary colour, it works very well too!

Excellent video Christine! I am BW, leaning towards TW. I find reds very forgiving and to a lesser extent blues, teals, purples, and fuschias, as long as they vivid enough. You even helped me find and embrace orange. Yellow and green feel like there is such a narrow margin for success. I can't borrow TW yellow and be ok. It just looks so wrong. Likewise if I move to the buttery warm side of BW I start turning yellow. I can get away with bright icy yellow but I don't think I look great in it. Right now I only have yellow as an accent color in patterns. You have motivated me to try. I learned with orange that a color that is a challenge/not intuitive when used creatively can add excitement and interest in a way the easy colors don't. Like a touch of orange on me lights up navy blue. Also, my greatest success as a BW is taking bold risks.
@RK-qs5dy
@RK-qs5dy 2 года назад
I also do not look great in yellow. Just okay. (I'm TW) But teals, blues and purples are very forgiving. I think there's some different individual reaction even inside palette. Someone can wear all yellows from the season and borrow yellow from the neighbors, someone could do the same with purple or teal :) Maybe a skin tone plays a role too. I have a beige skin, but in particular lightening it looks olive/green-yellow. Wearing green-yellow tones does not seem like a good match. But bright deep sapphire makes my skin look beautifully porcelain, which is not the case with yellow.
@ChristineScaman
@ChristineScaman 2 года назад
Lia, I am no longer surprised when you sum up the Season, energy, life, and all the rest. Yellow as an accent is perfectly fine and enough, the viewer gets the point (and may appreciate the subtlety). For me, when I see yellow in a print or in a large item, either way is equal in my appreciation, it only depends on the item. You the same or no? Little areas of yellow are like a wink, which every Bright Winter has in there somewhere, might as well let it sneak out :) And SO yes to orange lighting up navy blue, how many Winters wear orange, almost like they can't resist. The combined effect really is brilliant, the logarithmic curve, big impact in a small space. RK, you speak for many Winters, but that yellow, it's there and we sense it. I'd dismiss large solid colours and look at prints and accessories (flip flops! the viewer gets it, we are incredibly holistic in how we see others). Also, TW yellow is easy enough to find, oddly enough. Might as well play to the strengths of the fashion industry when we find them! I was intrigued in your brilliant observation about olive skin tones and yellow. I'm asked often about adjustments to be made for olive skin and I think of them as individual-based, but I also wonder which type of yellow would work in general. I'm sure there is one and it's not orange-based. There is a big category of icy yellow-greens, more yellow than green, but too greenish for the palette. In the TW Pinterest board (link in Desc. box), I just added a white dress with a lemon print, that's the yellow I'm thinking of. It sounds as though you doubt it would work, but in that surprising way colour has, maybe that's where your yellow answer lies.

@@ChristineScaman thank you for taking time to write such detailed reply, after reading it I realized I have left so much details out of my previous comment (though some I've left out for the sake of keeping it concise) and hesitated about answering. It felt low-key disrespectful to the topic starter to "steal" the comment section - I wanted to write down all my observations and my relationships with different kinds of yellow (some of them are not even in particular palettes). Also I'm afraid of being rude in my phrasing instead of being succinct, because English is not even my second language, so it's my constant worry. Your English is excellent, you make it sound as though it is your first language, which is amazing in writing. Thank you for the offer to add descriptive details, but I imagine that I and other readers would have to see the colours and effects you describe to find some context for them in the larger subject of olive and other skin tones. While I'm sure your observations are true and perceptive, there comes that point when our reactions to colour become more individual than applicable to the group and in this instance, we wouldn't know. Hair colour can be this way, with broad information that becomes individual quickly, more so than clothing or even lipstick. I appreciate the offer of time and new information though, and would be happy to read your observations and keep them in my awareness, even if I'm unable to offer a helpful reply. Please don't worry about honesty being disrespectful, it is the most respectful way to speak. How people choose to frame it is up to them, but I would rather hear it and manage my own emotions :) By choosing to take nothing personally and seeing honesty only as an intention to help, I receive the gift of seeing the world through the eyes of others, a so-worthwhile trade.

Hello! I was wondering if true spring could wear paler yellows, almost like cream with a bit more yellow?
@ChristineScaman
@ChristineScaman 7 месяцев назад
It would depend on the yellow but the colour you describe sounds like it could belong in the TSp palette. Yellows are warm in that Season and colours have a fair bit of pigment so the pale yellow you have in mind may act as a neutral more than a colour.

Would neon yellow be a bright spring?
@ChristineScaman
@ChristineScaman Год назад
Neon, like fluorescent, are synthetic pigments that don't appear in humans and tend to be neon-looking on everyone. If any group is going to wear it and make some sense of it, though not harmonize perfectly, it will be the two Bright groups. From there, it depends on the shade of yellow, Bright Spring being warmer and a touch softer than Bright Winter (meaning neon colour would be more obvious or apart when they wear it). As accents, neon, sequin, any exaggeration of colour, can be great on these groups.

Thanks so much for your content. I would love if you could do a Beyoncé color evolution and maybe you could explain to us why she looks good in silver dresses or jewelry too sometimes even better than in yellow-gold styles. I see her as warm but more neutral warm. It would be great if you could talk about her color season and elaborate a bit on that.

Beyonce is a great suggestion that received many requests. I actually did a B video, but so many viewers were offended by any negative commentary about this celebrity that I took the video down. I realized that people feel protective (possibly even possessive) about some celebrities, and these public figures often choose looks very far from their real self, preferring to dress their role and persona instead. For someone who appears so often in public, I recall it was hard to find many great looks, which is the approach I want to take in current and future videos. I'll look again for a Best Of B... video though, rather than Colour Evolution that follows a timeline, and I appreciate thinking about the topic again, thank you :) It may not happen though, there are cultural aspects to appearance as well, with many people enjoying the blonde hair, whereas I prefer dark hair for B and find blonde makes the colours she wears in outfits super-hard to comment on. I could imagine neutral warm as very possible, but could never know someone's Season from images, for sure not with coloured hair and makeup. I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the content and will look at B again.

Christine thank you so much for your detailed answer. Your channel is so refreshing because there aren't many people anymore who are just the way they are these days. In any case, I can agree with the points of criticism, namely that you simply can no longer criticize certain celebrities because they are so involved in the culture and are appreciated by everyone that any criticism is perceived as an attack, even if you criticize it professionally. You don't criticize them personally, you criticize them professionally from a certain point of view. I think it is a great pity that our society can deal so poorly with criticism at the moment, and I would like us to come back to a point one day where we can simply have different opinions and accept them mutually. What I noticed in your videos is that you talk about the good looks in the newer videos and no longer about the bad looks which was very interesting how well you’ve explained the bad looks. You've portrayed and expressed it so well that it's so hard for me to imagine how other people can take that personally and misunderstand it. Thanks again. I really appreciate your time and content. Your channel really gave me a new perspective on understanding color and helped to distinguish between what “ we” meaning our eyes, looking in the mirror, perceive as good vs what objectively looks good. I would love to fly to Canada to have a personal color analysis done by you because Iam having a hard time figuring out my season. Iam definitely tanned/dark skinned and I have trouble find a color that looks good. I don’t know if it’s because I have not a professional eye and not a really good color taste :D but it’s driving me crazy sometimes 😆maybe in the future:) Iam able to visit you for a color analysis. Until then I will continue to watch your videos and learn. Maybe you could do a video series about all the seasons and what’s behind it and that a video for each type with different pictures of celebrities. If I can make a wish, it is to make the videos as you would make them if someone came to your studio and wanted a professional analysis from you, because that's the best way to do it. So do it as you have done. Your videos have great added value.
@ChristineScaman

You've summed up the situation exactly. In my own life, I want to hear the negative comments. How I choose to feel about them is up to me and I respect anyone who says what they think straight up and lets me control my emotions on my own. Saying what I want to hear and never giving me a chance to improve is unfair. What’s a person supposed to learn or do with that? I want to improve and I need help seeing myself, just like we all do, and get the huge rewards that come with seeing ourselves as others do. Always saying the nice thing leaves me no further ahead, but I can see how celebrities and their followers may feel they're drowning in opinions. Although I can see why everyone might not feel this way, nice isn't always kind. I also hope that our paths may cross one day and we can get your Season sorted :)

Also, we talked about gold in the video Be A DW, Not A TW. Just a thought, because I agree, the palette yellows are too yellow or lemon-y for jewelry and might be better with silver or pale gold. In other palettes, there are warmer greens and yellows, and always many reds in DW, that work fine with gold.

I love yellow too and it is harder to find in stores. Cooler toned people just wear cooler yellows. Eye colours can be a good place to find certain colour guidelines, but the place to look if you want to know your real colours is in the skin layers with a colour analysis. That will tell you the actual shades of blue and teal, and they can be easier to find in spring and autumn times of year.

What is your take on light olive skin- where to olives tend to lean in your opinion?
@ChristineScaman
@ChristineScaman Год назад
Olive encompasses many Seasons, each having their own version of yellow-green tones in the skin. They're most visible in Autumn and Winter, I find, although not to the same degree in every individual within the Season. Like 'ivory' or 'beige', these words can be broadly interpreted. Best if the Season decision is made on a person by person basis, as are the cosmetics and hair colour choices that suit them best.

I work with actual fabric for the Seasons (you can purchase sets of 15 on my website if you live in N. Am. or email me) and it's amazing how easy picturing combinations becomes. Yellow with stormy ocean teal is a personal favourite. Actually yellow with all blue-greens for TSu, both neutrals and colour versions. Also yellow with violet, very modern looking, like the Season's version of navy and lime.

Hi Christine, I would love to hear your opinion on which seasons can wear rose gold well. I know it depends on the person, exact color and shininess of the jewelry, etc. I thought rose gold was pinkish--hence the word "rose," (and good for cool seasons) but is it really more copper in color (better for Autumns) usually? Thanks! Also, do you know any affordable sources of beige gold?
@ChristineScaman
@ChristineScaman 5 месяцев назад
As you mention, there are many variables in terms of the metal and the person wearing it. Every Season might have a version, depending on your flexibility in what could be called rose gold. Some are darker, some warmer and less rose, and so on. I believe the colour is related to the proportion of metals in the mixture. The True cool Seasons (True Winter and Summer) are less flattered with gold, although the rose part is easy enough, and their version might be 'rose silver'. Beige gold may be like anything else, it exists at many price points and the way to begin is awareness when shopping. If you have a particular colour in mind, bringing an example, even in a paint swatch, can help in choosing.
@jjjjk1241

@@ChristineScaman I see; thank you. Rose silver: That sounds beautiful! I would enjoy more content on jewelry such as rose gold and other metals besides silver and gold, as well as colored stones. I inherited some jewelry from my mom and a couple friends, and I'm trying to decide which are for me as a Light Summer; which ones to let go of, which things would be worth having white gold plating added, and which fall "within reasonable tolerances." These items have sentimental value, so it's not easy to let them go! Wish I could have a color analyst in my pocket to tell me "Yes," "No," or "Put those copper patina earrings down!!" Can't wait to get my fabric swatches! I bet that will help a lot with jewelry as well as clothing!
@ChristineScaman
@ChristineScaman 5 месяцев назад
Jewelry is a favourite topic for many viewers. Many of our videos focus on the Seasons and basic colour choices, but jewelry is attractive because many images are available. I'll think about how to frame it since I don't show people or palettes. Maybe Choosing Stones and Metals for 12 Seasons and hope I include questions many people have. Your fabric swatches will help a lot! Just lay the piece of jewelry right on them once you have them fanned out like your palette or a chequerboard. Roll the item around and see if they bring out the best in one another. For pieces with sentimental value, keep them. it's your own signature in your presentation. Imagine them being worn by a woman in a restaurant to decide how they look, a lower pressure and more individual decision than trying to follow formulas too carefully.

It's possible DW has one, though I've never seen it. The closest light yellow green in my mind is medium in darkness, more like a jungle green. Yellows may be more lemon or a little bit harvest, but yellow-green seems acidic by comparison unless it's muted, like olive. The smoky darkness of DW makes light, citrusy colours unlikely. There are only a couple of yellows for TSu and they are similar, even more than in Soft Summer, but the colour does exist and is often available in retail. For cooler Seasons, the first step to success with yellow may be to put larger items on the back shelf and focus on the colour in prints and accessories. It looks just as good and as a natural highlight, may be even more effective.

@ChristineScaman
@ChristineScaman Год назад
It's not my experience that we change Season with age, after we settle into our colouring, which can happen anytime before 18 years old. We may wear our palette differently but the colours themselves remain ours, so I would say that the vibrant colours of your palette do remain the same. Many women soften the bright colours they once wore but the effect is to look faded or fatigued. I understand why blonde doesn't work well with your skin tones and for certain Winters, there are shades of beige that could be quite good. Hopefully your good sense of colour has guided you to a lovely beige that will cooperate with your palette.

@ChristineScaman
@ChristineScaman Год назад
Welcome to the channel, I'm glad you're here :) There are many generalizations in colour analysis, maybe most with the True Seasons since they've been around the longest. I don't know of any single average in natural colouring that applies to every person within a Season. Their common feature is that within the same Season, they react to colour in the same way, or very close. Natural hair colour in True Spring is generally in the light-medium to medium-dark range. Light Spring is usually lighter, although medium-dark clear brown (say, maple syrup) is possible. In Bright Spring, darker hair colours are common. When you say 'suit', the meaning may be open to personal preference. With natural colour, it is the very rare person whose natural colour isn't their best in terms of skin tone, and wearing their colours or a few hair highlights may show that colour to best effect. If you mean chemical colour, my opinion, it's uncommon for any person to colour their hair darker than their natural colour and have the result be their best choice, except perhaps in the Winter groups.

Christine, I have been enjoying your thorough explanations so much! As a blonde with near-invisible eyebrows and pink cheeks, I have known for a long time that what "everyone else" was doing with colors and makeup seemed to look wrong on me, but here's the theory and logic to back it all up! I'm wondering, as a presumptive light summer, about buying a certain very pale but slightly peachy gold herringbone blazer. Online second-hand Armani - I think maybe not too magical to be taken seriously. It looks to be the rare kind of low-contrast pattern that won't make me disappear, but I won't be (more) sure until I try it on. I'm making sense of more preferences that were previously just instinct, but it is confusing when my favorite earnings are antiqued mixed metals and almost equal silver and gold. I definitely look bad in black and white and good in most blues and roses, but my hair is golden not ash, so there is warmth again. It seems like a lot of contradictions, so if you ever feel like breaking down the golds a little more as they apply (or don't) to blonde hair, and skin that contrasts more with itself than with the brows, I'd be interested. Again, thanks for your many insights and for doing this work for the right reasons.
@ChristineScaman
@ChristineScaman 2 года назад
So many thanks for your story and comments :) I understand how your observations may seem contradictory, but I'm certain that they fit extremely well into a Season. The problem may be with the stereotypic appearance for Light Summer, when in reality, those appearances are rare, with every person having some 'apparent' contradictions. Your answers are probably individual and unique to you though, meaning the questions will only be resolved with an in-person analysis. These videos speak to the widest possible audience and while I'm happy to know they've brought you some answers, questions remain that other LSu might not share. The particular metal in jewelry is one example. Silver and gold are excellent for Neutral Seasons in the same way that apparently warm and cool contrasts may be visible in the features, such as golden hair with cool eyes (or vice versa). When tested, the hair is often revealed to be at the warm, dark side of LSu and still soft, and the eye colour may be very cool and soft. Many combinations exist within any Season, and keep in mind about hair that it is the least reliable of all Season indicators. If you've an interest in hearing more about stereotypes, the podcast at the end of May will be about that very topic (chrysaliscolour.com or my website, under Podcast)

You're very observant, it's unusual for folks to pick up on that effect. Colour reactions can happen for all sorts of reasons, but when I see that particular one, it's often a saturation issue and it does happen with light yellow. The person is making the fabric looks less pigmented because they are more pigmented (saturated). If the fabric were the same colour properties as the person, they wouldn't change one another. People can make colours look darker than they are as well, so not just a saturation effect.

Glad it was helpful! SSu yellow is find-able, it's not rare, actually most Seasons' yellows are find-able in retail. It may help to keep in mind that the 'dingy' quality may be there on a hanger, or a shelf stacked with brighter colours, or on a person who is not SSu. When the colour is placed next to a Sou-coloured person, the colour looks perfectly and appropriately bright and clean and hugely sophisticated. Amazing thing to see. All those other yellows that look normal on somebody are the ones that become loud next to SSu colouring. The miracle of Nature :)
