I love your videos. I don’t think I have commented before on them. But I want to say I appreciate your style and information most of all. Being an Ex WoW player of 12 years, I have that mentality like you mentioned. I been in New World since launch and I still have yet to have a main build. After watching and listening to this one video of yours and contemplating on my style and forgetting the WoW mentality I think I know what to do. Again thank you for the words of wisdom. Great Job! Thank You!
Thank you so much for the kind words! The other super important part is to take your time, you may go though a couple of different weapon / armour combinations before you find what suits you but it’s 100% worth. Thanks again tho I’m glad you’re enjoying the vids!
Just found your channel today and damn! sub earned. It sure is an inspiration to me to get better at PvP. As a Covenant player I know that not only are we the smallest faction in New World but we are also mocked as being the weakest. Thank you for changing that narrative. You inspire me to do better for our brother and sister Templars!
I like how you’ve embraced the greater stone form heartrune that I mentioned a week ago😉. For other viewers make sure refreshing is on all gear too. He stresses ability combos but there’s a reason they’re always available….
Probably one of the best, if not THE best PVPer ive been watching for a while now on youtube. Keep up the great work bro! I myself suck at pvp but its really entertaining to watch these videos and dream xD. u earned the sub!
Today Danzo spoke facts. Man I love your content, please stay true to yourself! I've been playing less for numerous reasons, so I don't grind pvp like I used to. But seeing your vids you posted recently are maintaining my love for NW pvp thanks. I know that you like for ppl to try themself builds and not sharing new builds in experimentations and I totally get that and approve but. Since I don't have much time when I play, I do like to be a bit lazy and steal builds sometimes ^^ Again thanks for the vids
Hatchet is a great support weapon but it is very misunderstood. One of the most powerful tools you have to is put pressure on your opponent by using cheat death to ensure you'll outlive your opponent in a race to the death. The fact that the three hatchet players didn't jump on you right away told me everything I needed to know. Use ALL of the tools in your toolkit.
Danzo the original Hybrid DK. I just started playing New World a few days ago. Had my first 1v3 earlier. Glad your making content on the game so you can show me wtf to do.
You make very interesting points! I run musket and fire staff and initially I saw fire staff as a tool to run away with, using burnout but later on I started to utilize it as a finisher tool to augment my musket. Very good video I will keep this in mind in my future builds.
New subscriber here, love these videos! I’ve been considering trying out NW for a while but haven’t as of yet. Ive played ESO almost exclusively for the past 2 years but getting burnt out. After watching this video definitely gonna give NW a go.
Big fan glad your on my server sad your not a syndicate beside watching you have me testing different build but to be honesty it hard to beat out the Ig/Vg so I’m trying a life stealing fire staff/Vg build Watching Ive learn this game more about how u play and now what build you have it more like a 60 /40 split build to playstyle with most weapons keep the content coming
Great video - sharing it with a few to show the insanity of high level PVP in this game. I played a little during launch last year but a few of us are back for this fresh server business and I have been focusing a Tondo/bleed rapier, as I suspect you can get to 1 tap ability with enough modifiers and flourish and finish. Would love to hear/see your take on that. But its a slow grind to that point, and I am super open to changing if I can not get my style to work. Love the content dude, keep it up.
Thank you so much dude! Honestly the kind words mean a lot! As for the blood setup yeah it has some pretty scary burst potential but you’ve gotta be aware that you’re giving up a ton of utility and mobility by not going grace, so the off weapon in a blood build is SUPER important as that’ll be your source of movement/survivability. I have a build that I haven’t made a full build video for yet but, here’s some gameplay and my thoughts if you wanna see my setup :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pv7bTHMWYCI.html
@@DanzoPVP Super interesting video, thanks for linking. Would never have considered a Blunderbuss as a secondary, but that looks very workable. I am still learning with the PvP side, but had some good successes today using a Hatchet with throw and social distance as a 2nd as a way of controlling space, but the Blunder looks like a more natural, powerful way of doing it better, without leaving abilities on the table. My biggest issue without fleche was catching runners - very hard in open world. And as its fresh servers I have not even looked at levelling ice/fire yet....so many combos...
@@JeepoUK Tons of options! Honestly it's suuuuuch a better place to be in versus at launch where literally 2-3 weapons felt good, I think its a good sign when the choice becomes hard when everything is good :P But yeah exactly as you've been experiencing not having fleche is MASSIVE, both weapons can fill that roll, BB with the claw shot gap closer and even hatchet, the aiming is janky as hell haha but with practice a quick axe toss immediately into a rending throw is actually a suprising amount of burst that people almost never expect because its a hatchet that really isn't well known for its ranged prowess. I'd say give everything that interests you a try because you'll never know what combo you might stumble upon and fall in love with!
Dude that was actually sick as fuck. I feel like the PvP in this game is underrated. I always loved the pvp in this game. Sometimes when I get killed by another player I don’t even get mad I just be like “damn good shit…. ….. bitch boi!” 😂😂
thank you , jesus christ i watch 5 videos before this that were complete BS . 1 video is all random gameplay with rave music lmao . the other guy did a "in depth" guide and said stories how he 2v5 people and all this stuff. you just made a video that made sense and is correct . thank u
It's rough, I'm using the Rapier for the first time and I'm having all sorts of issues, I can't land the Fleche light attack trigger that well and I usually only use Fleche to dash away. My biggest issue with the Rapier is I spam left click too much and get stuck into the attack chain and then get caught up in abilities I should be avoiding. I'm guessing the only way to get better with it is to just practice as much as I can really. I've been so tempted to switch from Rapier to Hatchet just because of that defy death trait, but I enjoy the Rapier aesthetic too much and I know I can get better if I just practice. Thanks for the video, watching you play is just crazy these 3v1's are incredible.
Appreciate it! thank you for watching :) I know it sucks to hear but the only path is to stick in there, I may make it look easier than it is but ESPECIALLY if you're new to the weapon theres a ton of muscle memory that you need to build with it. Practicing on PVE is a super super good way to get combos down and get a grasp of the weapon, I literally still do it, while im out in the open world killing mobs doing stuff I'm always always practicing my combos and trying to refine even a year later using the weapon. So hang in there!
hey great video thank you (: i went back to your build video but you are using ice storm, do you prefer shower now? if so do you lose out on ultimate chill?
Ultimate chill is just bugged at the moment so honestly I wouldn’t put too much thought into it right now until they actually say they are changing how ultimate chill functions or something, but the build has always been viable with either shower or storm all depends on your preference, and thank you!
My favorite aspect of rpgs is to mix and match skills that suit your own playstyle, and being a metaslave is 0 fun for me. Im having an absolute total blast with blunder/musket despite having a bad aim (yes xD).
Have you made any adjustments to your build since the nerf/bug that removes increased ice damage when you switch out of ice gauntlet? I am running a version of it but still levelling on fresh start.
I’ve made a couple of gear changes but no changes to how the build functions overall, working on getting all my builds updated so I can show anyone who was wondering all the updates :) should be done/out soon
@@DanzoPVP ah great, here's hoping the reverse it so at least the user can benefit form their own weapon synergy! I know it's probably harder to balance but I really like weapon buffs persist since I like to swap often, which I guess relates back to the points you made in this video:)
@@DavySilverwind 100% I do as well! Being unpredictable in pvp is what raises the skill ceiling and makes it so fun IMO and changes like this like other perks not persisting on swap just makes the game less fun :/ hopefully they come back around :)
Great vid, well played , Could you somehow post your build ? I've been bow/spear since beta , thinking about time I changed maybe ..... I prefered it when bow was unpopular xD
For sure! Hatchet synergizes pretty well with greatsword as the defy death ultimate pairs pretty well with an aggressive play style on the GS, also hatchet has a very nice amount of mobility through its throwing tree which is something that gs suffers from
We also have to take into account your insane movement ability. Idc what they’re using lol. They can barely touch you😂😂. This is great Man. You’re a great player
@@tatedoh You vould probably build it similar yeah but thing you've gotta accept about hammer is it has 0 mobility. Greatsword has some mobility but not very much, and mobility is MASSIVE in any open world pvp game, especially this one. Not saying that to say you can't run a build or use weapons you like that have no mobility but its something you need to be aware of and make choices in your build to make up for that whether that is more fortifies or cc. If you take a look at my void paladin build, that setup is using two weapons that actually have 0 mobility but I am making up for that by being tanky and having alot of self heals. There's going to be some trial and error to figure out how to make the setup you wanna run work, it's 100% possible but just go into it with realistic expectations, expect to have to put some time in practicing different combos and trying new abilities :)
@@DanzoPVP thank ya very much man. You are the best pvper I have seen on new world. I do definitely feel like it’s hard to catch and run away with gs/wh. Do you think gs/gaxe would be better in the mobility department ? I am a melee player and rapier is pretty difficult for me to learn so I’m struggling to find a 2nd weapon to use haha 😂
@@tatedoh No problem! And thank you!, but yes 100%, Great axe is 1000% better at not only catching people because of it's gap closer but also keeping people in melee range because of its wide arcing basic attacks and multiple CC's. One thing i'd maybe say to consider as well is try out a ranged weapon like blunderbuss to pair with the melee weapons you like. GS/bb GA/bb and Hammer/bb are all very well rounded builds because blunderbuss not only has chunky ranged damage but a buuuunch of utility and mobility :)
On all fairness it’s rapier light armor, the fastest shit in the game in movement , I frames for avoidance, and damage, crit. Some weapon combos just can’t compete . Like hammer… heavy armor can’t do shit against it
You're literally missing the point of the video my friend, I get dumpstered on by heavy hammer boys all day because they have PRACTICED that weapon and armor combo and know how to land their stuns. In light taking a single hammer stun agaisnt a good hammer player is death. It's a mindset thing :)
How come your stamina seemed to always be up and charge really fast. I understood that you sometimes used ice tomb to make stamina but damn it felt like you managed it so well
I love the pvp in this game It's too bad it's so rare. AND really annoying that you don't get rewards a lot of the time too due to the timer/timers around flagging and dying. So it's fun on its own but that lack of rewards is annoying. But I suppose it prevents people from xfaction farming.
Nice i really like this kind of melee mage gameplay with Rapier supported by Ice Gauntlet. Don't you think Void Gauntlet instead of Ice would offer your more survability and burst capacity since it seems you don't often burst with the spike
Their fixation with backbar hatchet was super cringe haha. They were playing worse and worse and you were playing better and better. Are you running stalwart or cunning? A lot of people LOVE Stalwart and I can see why, but I'm thinking about using cunning since I have shirking fort and it seems balanced as far as offensive/defensive versatility. The ability to cap out fort while not losing damage and being immune to cc sounds good.
I’m using the mending stoneform on pretty much every setup right now but to be honest I haven’t dove super deep into synergy with ultimate, kinda been running stoneform since the servers have felt absolutely awful but now that it’s feeling a little bit better I’ll be trying other stuff. Thankfully they designed them really well where pretty much every ultimate and version of it is viable in some setup or another, which is why I’m not really worrying about it whatever I feel like trying I’ll prolly just try regardless :)
I´m that hatchet frustrated guy, rofl. To my defense, I´ve just started the game and my friends troll me because I keep swapping my build. But that´s only because I don´t know what to play xD Edit: As a matter of fact, I would like to try this build out tho it´s mechanics seems difficult. And I´m not a fan of rapiers tbh.
That's a good thing! I encourage you to try out everything untill you find what you enjoy the most, literally everything in the game is viable and fun so keep experimenting and have fun! It's going to take time to get good at pvp the thing people have to remember is I've been playing for over a year, and with how intricate I've been saying the game is, it's a little silly to think that you (not literally you, the figurative you being any new player) can just start playing the game, watch a couple videos and be as good as someone who's been practicing for a year right? So just take your time and enjoy :)
I am struggling with the pvp in NW. I frequently lose to people much lower lvl than me and I ask myself is everyone in this game just that amazing or am I that bad. It sucks. EDIT: One thing I'm noticing is that they hit you, but you barely take any damage, I've run both light and medium armor, it doesnt seem to make much of a difference, when I get hit big chunks of my health are taken.
The first thing, as I mentioned the players I'm fighting here don't have full comprehensive builds, so they almost definitely aren't specced for PVP fully where as I am, but secondly I, and lots of other good PVPers have been playing for a really long time and practicing. It is going to take time but the ONLY way to get better at pvp or anything in life is to suck at it first :P So just try to have realistic expectations and just take your time and learn as much as you can, PVP, as I've been trying to get across and have said in this video is very very intricate :)
only critique i have is that ur ice spike could improve, i didnt see u clicking to change the timing of the big spike. there were times u could've made it finish closer, but most of the time u just let it do the full animation. also, ice shower then ice spike combo. these guys were really bad imo, not the good pvpers u wouldve faced when the NW first came out, most of the best players have moved on
May I tried watching other mmo's pvp and it's just uncomparable it's all so shit in every single other mmo. In New World it's skill based as much as it can be in an mmo I love it so much
on a server that still has a que during the day a week in and arena ques are 2 hours long. barely anybody flags and when they do its 20 people just trying troll people doing msq or farming elites. most dead pvp iv ever seen in a game
I've run hatchet since for the year the game has been out. If players are equipping it as a survival tool backup their build will be sub-optimal. It's kind of laughable this is what players are doing
WoW is absolutely not farm the best gear and let the game play itself. A good PvPer who's a completely fresh max level will still be able to completely make fun of a completely full bis geared non PvPer. I remember in classic how I'd go around as a naked rogue 1vXing people in AQ bis. The only games that are truly like that are these like full on p2w games or mobile games. I don't want to come off as some sort of WoW fanboy but WoW was genuinely one of the very worst examples you could've given within the MMO space. Otherwise good video.
I cant watching on that fight how guys are using shockwave 50M from you and path of destiny on oposite site that you are :D :D on 01:45 what is that wrecking ball and shockwave and path of destiny :D :D they are fighting ghosts or what?
Zzz. Most players have weapon synergy, your server is probs just full of bots like the 1s in this video. 520gs, no resilience returning players. I didn't see that bow land a single shot.
