I have a condition that gives me terrifying nightmares because of a pill I take. Listening to this to fall asleep, instead of dreaming my fears and waking up in a cold sweat I have dreams of being in a small studio flat and Wilbur as my neighbour singing softly. thank you! :)

You sit, content, on your windowsill as it continues to rain continuously outside. You sigh to yourself and stare at the droplets of water as they hit the moss-covered branches on the evergreen trees surrounding the small neighbourhood. It was a soothing action and you couldn't help but get lost in the rains beauty, you really wished it poured like this more often. You hear a sudden guitar strum from the neighbours house which leads to a pretty catchy rhythm. It was muffled due to the thick wall between your houses but the guitar was clear enough for you to hear its tune. After what seemed to be the introductory melody, the neighbour started to sing along to the rhythm with his own lyrics. He had an incredibly soothing voice, you couldn't help yourself and you put your head against the wall to hear the song more clearly. It was a nice addition to the calming rain outside, you felt like going to sleep. You wasn't bored or anything, the music and rain just paired so nicely together that you couldn't help but drift off. You continued to sit there for a while, just listening quietly to the sound of rain and your neighbours singing. Every once in a while he would mess up and either flip out or laugh at himself, it was a surprise each time but it always put a smile on your face and even earned a chuckle sometimes. After a while, your eyes began to feel heavy and you couldn't fight against the urge to close them, so you did. You began to fall asleep as the rain began to clear and the neighbours song start to reach its end. And you fell asleep with a warm smile and a peaceful mind, for once.

I’m young. Not even moved out yet. But I feel i’ve experienced…enough. I’m not scared of my death. I’m fine either way. This honestly came to me the other day, I was running to catch my flight while strangely enough blasting Jubilee Line and maybe I have a heavy case of thinking the world revolves around me but that moment, that incredibly stressful and scary experience, is such a core memory now connecting a hopeless past to a neutral, okay future. And when the plane took off I didn’t have my normal crippling anxiety of the plane crashing. Through the risky bits and questionable sharp turns I was truly unafraid of whatever came next. I haven’t felt like that since I was a kid, to be honest. But I just know that this album, and this month, is going to be one of the most memorable of my transition years from being a child to an adult. Earlier tonight I felt suicidal as a pretty much always do when I’m in San Francisco. it’s my favorite place and it would honestly be where i would want to die. If death is inevitable I would welcome it but I don’t think I’ll bring it on early. Hopefully. update, october 2021 this album still accompanies at least half my breakdowns, half my panic, and half my happy days. it’s so versatile somehow. when im holding back tears and flashbacks in school. when im lying awake late at night. when im seeing the sun again and realizing things arent all bad. ive only grown more appreciation for it. edit, christmas eve 2021 everything has gotten worse, but guess whats still a constant in my life! the songs have changed in meaning for me, although they often return to my brain’s original interpretation. i’m traveling, but it isn’t escape enough. i’ve relapsed in multiple ways, and even thats hardly enough to help. ive started a variety of medications with the shallow hope theyll do anything past numb me. it makes sense at my young age but everything is genuinely feeling like its crashing and burning, the weird mix of having to grow up far too fast and still being immature in some ways is painful. the simple urge to run as far as possible whether through travel or unmentionable is a pounding constant thought in my head. edit: I failed to mention the flight was a layover at an airport hundreds of miles from anyone I knew LMAO, it wasn't a I could just go home situation, it was I'd be stuck there until I figured out finances thing 😭 edit: it's nearly a year later and I'm in the same spot I was. I'm not doing great. I could ramble but I think I've complained enough. I'm sitting on the balcony considering the same things but with the knowledge it'll pass. it's really fucking hard, and I'm sorry to myself I want to leave sometimes. I'm still moving. I'm still getting one foot in front of the other and that's just my life. there are no expectations. I'm just living and enjoying things when I can. no expectations. none. I'm still sick. and still scared I may go earlier than I should. Yeah I have the same problem storms give me so much anxiety but js listening to vids like this made me realize that thunder storms are very pretty and calming good weather as long as it’s not a bad thunderstorm
It’s been almost two years since everything started falling apart. It doesn’t feel like it though, it’s almost as though trauma has warped my perception of time. I’m in a completely different city, but somehow the streets look familiar, and I’m taken back to a rainy afternoon bus ride, the last I would take that year. The way my shoes looked beneath the wet pavement. The rain soaking through my socks. Two years. The anniversary of the day a part of me died approaches, and what is left mourns at the reminder of that loss.
I have insomnia and its annoying to deal with without any medication, so I usually sleep to youtube vids but these probably would help instead so thank you :)

I’m the exact same. Wilbur helped me through a lot, he was one of my comfort streamers, and a huge inspiration in music. It makes me so fcking sad to hear this news, because I’m disappointed. I used to listen to this video whenever I couldn’t sleep. It’s now almost four am where I am, the video popped up on my fyp, and I don’t know what to do with my life anymore.

the sound of rain breaks through the constant hum of music making it through the thin walls of her apartment. she usually enjoyed these little concerts her neighbor put on late into the night but tonight it had become nothing but background noise. she was sure it was some ungodly hour but she couldn’t find it within herself to care. any idea of sleep had been cast aside when she abandoned her bed to sit in the bay window and witness each drop of water draw streaks down the glass. she would have liked nothing more than to be able to blame every sleepless night on wanting to witness the beauty of a rainstorm but dishonesty wasn’t exactly one of her strengths. maybe someone with some degree in medicine would label it insomnia but she had long since given up on trying to force a label onto something she couldn’t understand. it was much easier to give it as little time and thought as she could manage and just hope it went away. and so, she stared back out into the night while her neighbor started what she figured must be an album of some sort from the beginning again and let her carefully constructed walls begin to crack and tumble, she could build them back up in the morning. here, there was no one to judge her but the empty world outside her window. finally, a break. needed, necessary, far too fleeting. and so, she didn’t dare to even make an attempt at tearing her eyes from the window, even as they prickled with the unshed tears threatening to spill past her lids. finally, the walls lay in messy shambles at her feet and she weeps freely with the world outside her window, the soundtrack to her sadness playing in the background.
I still have trouble falling asleep in the dark by myself, but this helps me close my eyes peacefully and take my mind off of negative things, so that’s a start.
POV : You are tired but you cant sleep. It's getting later and later and your eyes are burning. The Rain which rattled on your Window is just slowly falling down on your Window and you hear a familiär Voice from the room to your right. The dull Voice make you feel save. You are closing your eyes a bit and Listen to the guitar and His beautiful Voice. You cant hear His Voice so good but you are Sure that it Is beautiful. After a while you listened you would Wish to See him Sitting on the bed which is probably Standing on the right Side from your room singing Songs and laughing about His Life. You would Like to Join. You are Standing Up and open your door to the Floor. The Volume is Tuning up and you become a little scared. You Look in the room of His and See him Sitting next to your room playing with his guitar. He is singing while you Open the door a bit. He Looks at you and Starts to Smile a little bit. You cant hold the Smile. His curly Hair and His Voice are better than you Could ever Imagine. You are crossing your Fingers while you stand in the door and Just Look at him. „ May I Join you singing ?" you are saying with a sleepy Voice. „ Uhh Sure " He answers . He taps on the free space on the bed and you are Sitting next to him. Both of you Starts to sing. Sometimes you Look him in the eyes and Smile . Sometimes you both Bursted laughing about some funny Voice Cracks. But you know that this Person Could be the one who makes you Happy. i had a dream last night. i was Wil (like genuinely i was wilbur soot i had his voice, his clothes, hair, face, EVERYTHING) and it was a very short but very vivid dream, it was a bit cold, it was the day after it had been raining and i walked through the woods holding my tiny little black kitten in my hands, and at one point we ended up at a creek, (mind you it was very deep for some reason) and so i took my kitten and plopped her on my head, and waded through the water (it was up to my neck) and took her to the dry side of the path. it was VERY short but i woke up and cried-i want to be wil so bad. of course he has problems-and he’s gone through many hard times but i just wish i was him so bad. :(

It's raining again, you're tired, just want to lie on bed and give up for the day. As you rest your head on the pillow, you hear him, again, his songs are always lovely, like a treat for working hard that day, you smiled, feeling glad you'd fall asleep to the soothing strumming of his guitar and to the sweet melody in his voice. He starts playing, this one is new, you haven't heard it before, it's more...active, he's yelling, you want to hear him, properly, you put your ear to the wooden walls, you hear his voice, clear as glass "Secondly, I know I haven't written much, you know the way I can be. Tonight i'm *Fucking drunk!* so it's all gonna be about me." You don't know who he is, you've never even seen him before, but you can tell, he's hurt, the song is different to all his previous songs, it feels pained, it feels alone, and before you know it, it's louder, just like the rain, "So touch him, *And break me*. Strip naked, *Embrace him*." "Lose faith in his pace and stamina and grace, i'm losing face!" At this point, you're out of your room, right in front of his door, you muster up all your courage and just as you felt the song fade away. You knock. You can hear him putting down his guitar, getting off his bed, walking to the door, and then, you hear a click, and you see him, right in front of you, "May I help you?" You smile, "That was a beautiful song." He replies, with a soft and cheery grin, "I try my best, do you want another one?" "Another song?" You were surprised, but without hesitation replied, "Of course!" He gave a small chuckle, as he signaled to let you in, you sat down on a chair, as he got ready to play. You asked him one last question, before he began his magic, "Hey, we're neighbours, yet, I've never seen you or spoke to you before, what's your name?" He looked at you, with a smile, "Wilbur, Wilbur Soot."
I'm currently laying awake in bed at night trying to calm myself after getting emotionally overwhelmed and rain usually helps me to calm down so combined with Wilbur music just makes it so much better so thank you so much

While I love Jubilee Line, and Saline Solution, my favorite is "Since I saw Vienna." It just feels so comforting, theres no strong guitar, no loud singing, just softly singing. I love Saline Solution, and ever other song in this album, Since I saw Vienna just feels so right.
This album means a lot to me. It was there during panic attacks, breakdowns but also the better times, like when I sometimes feel more happy. These few songs have saved my life and Wilbur himself has done so much things for me that I can’t even explain. I hope wil knows how much he means to me and so many others.
I suffer from really bad panic attacks and this sorta calmed me down so thank you. Just with his hoodie. So,like any nice friend would do,i got a little near him so i could "protect" him with my umbrella,but he went away from me. I tried one last time,but he backed up and kept saying he didn't want the umbrella. Honestly that made me quite..sad...but anyways- So i told him that it was literally pouring and he wasn't even wearing a jacket,so i didn't want him to get sick. He still refused. He didn't care. That got me upset,i was just trying to be nice,and i really didn't want him to get sick,but yeah,i gave up. But here,dear reader,is where _istant karma comes to you._ So we got in the school,and after a few minutes he asked to go home. He was sick. He caught a cold or something. I was disappointed and surprised at the same time. So,when he went out of the class to get home,i said my line: _"Why did you reject the umbrella?"_ He didn't say anything. But he sure heard me. POV! ;) Soft rain pelted your window, it would have been comforting if you had been able to sleep. Your sheets were twisted on your bed from you tossing and turning, everything seemed 10 times more irritating than it should be. Overheated and dishevelled, you rub your eyes in frustration sitting up and glaring at the curtained window, masking the dark neighbourhood outside. It was quiet until you heard someone shuffling around next door, he seemed to find a comfortable place to sit or something because it was suddenly silent for a bit. Then, you heard music. A guitar coming through the thin walls of your apartment, muffled but soothing. Then singing, his voice was soothing just like his music. You hopped out of bed running to your kitchen to heat up a cup of milk, you then returned to your bed, listening to the beautiful music. Finally finishing the cup of milk, you set it on the bedside table and settled down on your bed. You would have to thank your mystery neighbour tomorrow. He had moved in the day before and had been very loud, sometimes screaming about nations and green boys? But this was the first time you had heard him sing. You smiled, finally drifting off to sleep...

Tonight there has been a bit of light rain and it made the night feel so soft and safe as I sat on the wooden floor of the veranda as this played and the rain gently kissed my skin. It felt like a night I’d felt a million times, with my poor memory it may have been, but this one felt far more safe. Maybe its the soft summer air, just cool after the heat of the day, or the unseasonal rain, or maybe even just feeling alone enough for it to be comfortable and not lonely, but tonight was just… peaceful…

I’ve got some pretty crappy insomnia, followed by intrusive thoughts and an unfortunate reaccurance of sleep paralysis so sometimes even the thought of sleeping no matter how much I’d like to, terrify’s me. Just in case it’s another night or morning of sleep paralysis. This has helped tremendously and helps me feel a bit safer. I hope you’re doing well, you’re an amazing person.
POV: please don’t bully me this is my first one :) it had been raining all week you finally got back to you apartment and sat down it had been such a terrible day then a muffled guitar started playing then you heard a voice it was so beautiful but you couldn’t hear what they were singing. You knew that a new neighbor had moved in but you would meet them later. You got up and walked over to the corner of your room and sat down,you leaned your head against the wall and fell asleep. suddenly you were awoken by a loud knock on your door. You stood up and walked to the door you slowly opened the door and saw a tall man with curly brown hair and a orange sweater on. He said hi and that his name was Wilbur and he was living next to you. You offered for him to come in a he did. He didn’t stay long but you guys made jokes and had a good time. As he left you felt a weird since of happiness it was the happiest you felt in a long time. As you were going to bed you heard the guitar start again and you sat there listening you leaned your head down and started singing you didn’t know how you knew the lyrics you just did suddenly the guitar got louder and you tell he moved closer to the wall. You and Wilbur had duets almost every night until he yuh decided to walk over to his place and ask if you could do a duet with each other he agreed and it was one of the best nights of your life. You exchanged numbers and went back to your room smiling Again this is my first time writhing like this so don’t be rude if it wasn’t good anyways have a good day/night!

Wilburs music makes me feel so nostalgic in a way. It reminds me of the days before all the Covid blm global warming stuff happened. I was so happy but never cherished it enough. I cant go one day without worrying about the future now. I wanna go back to the days where i didn’t have anxiety about everything and just live the childhood i deserved to have. Going on the internet at such a young age. Having bad examples put onto me. I want a better childhood. I feel like i deserve it especially because of everything i’ve gone threw. READ WHILE LISTENING!! POV: You hear your neighbour playing his guitar nextdoor. You've met him a few times before, his name is Wilbur. you watch his streams, but he doesn't know that. You run over to his house and invite him into the pouring rain with you. You both run out into the street (there's hardly anyone or anything near by) and lay down in the rain like the main characters in a 'coming of age' movie. You lay there in silence until finally at about midnight he gets up and helps you up too, "I had a wonderful time!" He said, "hopefully we can do this again next time it rains.
You should make the whole love joy album like this so more songs play but make it like an hour that would be so cool and would help a lot of people sleep including me 😅
God this whole situation hurts so much, I hope everyone involved gets the help they need. I wish none of this ever happened. I hate it when some of the most comforting people turn out to be horrible.
I really love this, its so peacefull, and it feels like i can control my feelings a bit more, since today has been real tough. Thank you. And a big thank you to Will. He has helped me so much. I use old vods of his to fall asleep to every night. And i know we dont know him, and we probably never will, but the bit we know of him, from youtube, streaming and songs, will always be with me and will always help me. thank you for everything.
3/15/24. All support goes out to Shelby, i love her and hope she gets all the support she deserves. But I used to fall asleep to this. His music and and voice would calm me through anything. Now i blocked his music and everything everywhere. I am terrified of thunder and lightning and to calm me down his music would play and i could sleep peacefully. Now i cant listen to his music or hear his voice without crying. I dont understand why he did what he did, what made him think it was okay. I just dont know what to do now. I hope he rots in hell.
but like why can i perfectly imagine his window being wide open and me just staring out mine completely mesmerized, just completely in love- i’ve had that dream multiple times.

I remember usually having such a fun time just humming and bobbing my head to the guitar. I didn't relate to it that much then. Now that I listen to it again, it gives me this sad feeling. It has such a sad tone to it now. I relate to it so much now and it genuinely hurts. But I still try to hum and move along with it
I was crying over an rp I was doing when I found this, crying because the rp was so self-indulgent that I didn't realize just how far I was projecting, didn't realize that I was writing about how I felt when my Nana killed herself under the impression it was just my oc mourning over Tommy, didn't realize I was just...trying to find comfort in something that had never been able to help before, and I cried because I realized and I missed her, and suddenly it was like it had only been moments since my dad came to pick me up from the lake to tell me that the one stability I had in my life was gone. I used to take her for granted because I was simply too young to understand, but I would give up anything I have just to see her again, go shopping and the tanning and then out for lunch like we used to, give her the mirror back, go look at old belt buckles and things, go look at those old, kinda tacky purses covered in jeweled crosses. I'd give anything to have those moments back, and I realized that, and this is the only thing that's helped me in the hour or so I've been crying. Thank you.
I shifted after listening to this where I was ACTUALLY neighbors with Wilbur and we ended up being really good friends and sang a bunch of songs together it was super cool
I listen to this every night and lately I feel like I’m at a low point in my life. But this somehow relieves all my stress and makes me feel relaxed. It’s like Wilbur’s singing to me. And to me, that’s very calming and reassuring
my RLS has been acting up more than usual, preventing me from sleeping without either a: freezing, or b: going literally insane, but when i listen to this brain calms down enough to stop the nuerons firing randomly (i’m pretty sure that’s how it works, i could definitely be wrong though feel free to fact check that). thank you!
When i imagine the title of this video: I imagine me laying on my back, staring at the cieling on a rainy night. I knew I was supposed to study today, but I just couldn't. My brain felt numb from the exams and lectures of the week. Instead of being able to fall asleep quickly, I could hear someone from the other side of my dorm wall playing the guitar and sobbing over pretty much nothing, or so I thought. They got up sometimes and paced their room loudly, which, I knew someone was going to knock on their door and tell them to shut up - but I decided to enjoy the ambience, just for a bit. I fell asleep, listening to the quiet rain and the music the man next door brought to my ears. When I awoke the next day to thank him for playing such beautiful sounds last night, I knocked on his door to find that he wasn't there; just sheets of music and scribbled notes all over the floor of his dorm.
