The Irish Guy takes a look at every Premier League club and see who their most technically gifted players of all time were - including the likes of Wayne Rooney, Hatem Ben Arfa and Gianfranco Zola.
@@nicole2329 dude don't assume what team someone supports its obvious the Henry hand balled it and that's what we're talking about plus lots of other teams hate Arsernal
Don't get it twisted Ronaldo wasn't the most naturally gifted for Christ sake Quaresma was seen as the better player in the Portugal set up he worked for what he got
Do you think if Quaresma had worked as hard would he have come from talented Portuguese winger to one of the greatest footballers of all time like Cr7?
@@lindomthembu4017 I am sure about it. Quaresma was a hell of a talented player. (To be honest even though Ronaldo is propably the best right now he is not the most "natural gifted" player)
its pretty obvious isnt it. thats why people adore him. its a prove that if u work hard enough u will achieve greatness. remember 3-4 years ago where people said that sanchez has higher work-rate than cristiano.
T Morales ya but Thierry Henry was average for years before being transformed at Arsenal whereas Bergkamp had always shown his class throughout his career
Van Nistelrooy had an incredible amount of natural talent at united. His goal to game ratio was insane and he was criminally underrated by most people. His natural ability to just find the net, be in the right place at the right time and his overall football awareness was so good. Definitely worth a shout for United in this video!!
My definition of naturally gifted is if you put every player and not give them any training whatsoever then who will be the best player out of all of them.
@@butterapplebutterapple5371 But you can you ever possibly know that since all professional players we get to see have been training since they were like 6-7 years old at most?
For a vid: do the "all time pl table" Now there are a couple of ways to do it like total points tally, most league wins (20,18....) But I would prefer that you rank the last 20 winners of the pl on how they would be standing if they would be competing and don't do it solely on points
I think for city I would give it too Mario Balotelli. He had everything to be the next best player in the world. I wish Pep would’ve got a hold of him. He had it all
he picks Scholes for united and not Gerrard for liverpool but Joe Cole or why wouldn't you pick him for Chelsea or West Ham? Gerrard is more naturally talented than Zola and Di Canio.. obviously an united fan 😂
For wolves I would go Adama traore. He is so rapid he can beat defenders running at 70% and he dribbles through whole teams. Also his physicality is insane too
He still has to go thru a medical, Roma only have one fit midfielder,Veretout, right now but they’ll have some back in the weeks to come so even if Rodwell goes he won’t really play
@@berbafan67 Serie A's really not that good! Roma would be relegation fodder right now in the Prem! Inter wouldn't finish in the Top 6 for goodness sake, nor would Napoli! Sunderland were badly run and Rodwell was certainly not alone in being a flop there!
@@20timesmanunited20 He was the best in my lifetime until Moutinho. He may end up a better player but at the moment there is no comparison. He needs to get more consistent hes not having as much influence as he is capable of this season.
Loved Joe Cole when he played for us. A bit harsh to imply that he didn't have a decent career. Totally agree regarding Zola (obviously), Le Tissier, Berbatov, Silva and Scholes though
Ben Arfa's temperament ruined his chances of playing for one of the big boys of Europe... He had an opportunity at PSG but couldn't keep himself in check, what a huge waste of talent!!!
If he could have been bothered, he would have won a ballon d'or. Maybe I am slating him too much, but he embraced the artist playing style, weirdly enough in a PL that should not have allowed his style to flourish. He should have played in Spain or in Italy really.
@@alisafeerhyder1994 He did, but imagine what would have happened if he played in a league where it was all about technique. He should have gone to Juve when he had the chance.
@@natebouakkaz3263 First- Iniesta and Xavi were different types of players- Xavi was a playmaker by the fact that he understood space and the player's movements around him better than any player in recent history. Iniesta (at his prime, not now) was great at disrupting opposing formations by making good passes or more than anything, charging himself to dribble a player or two. Overall, Xavi was the better player, however he was also 4 and half years older, so young folks tend to remember them as similar, when in reality Iniesta was at his prime when Xavi was already showing some signs of aging (yet they were still at a similar level) Second- Silva is a good player, but quite irregular. Sometimes he is awesome and sometimes he is just "fine". If you only want to remember him at his best, of course he would be a top tier player, but we could say the same for pretty much any "good" player at a top club.
@@jesusojeda7850 mate premier league is much tougher than la liga the time you have on the Ball is significantly lesser thats why di maria floped so bad xavi always had the far superior teammate I can tell you if Silva played in that Barca team he would of been an all timer
At least while he was at Spurs, I feel like his inconsistancy kept him out of the team. On his day though he was magic! At the time I couldn't understand why he wasn't being played but looking back, I feel like some days he was off his game. Its a shame cause he could have been really big for Tottenham!
Excl the Joe Cole one, none are controversial - totally agree with your point on cr, have done so for ages (so thanks cause now I've got back up when people were calling me mad)! Would line to know why toy didn't mention how chelsea convinced Zola to come like you do & others do for so many other players like Mourinho etc
What I expected: Irish guy finally trash-talking Grealish after he collided with Aaron Mooy. What I got: Irish Guy tries to trigger Liverpool fans. And CR7 fans.
Paul scholes was a pretty decent selection for Man United, but Duncan Edwards should have been given a shout, he was a main stay in the united team while in his teens and was selected regularly for england before the Munich air disaster happened. Had he been able to have a career he could have been one of, maybe even the greatest midfielder ever.
I kinda agree with him because naturally talented certainly doesn’t mean best, the theme was always technically gifted players until he mentioned Rooney that through me off a bit seeing he couldn’t dribble past a child with serablepausey
As I United fan, I don't believe Scholes gets enough credit for what he does. More than a decade as a United player, Fergie even brought him out of retirement to win another league title. Absolutely brilliant
As a Norwich fan, I'd have picked Hoolahan for us. Maddison is a fantastic player and will go on to be a regular for England and a top 6 side, but on his day Wes Hoolahan was the most exciting footballer I've ever seen, more so than Maddison, Hoolahan just had the ability to produce something absolutely special out of nowhere.
Beckham deserves a mention for United. The man could pop a ball onto the head of a safety pin on the penalty spot from the touchline. I'd still pick scholes.
Robert pires for villa, as a fellow Irishman I'm shocked and disappointed that you haven't gone with Paul McGrath, he never trained and was either drunk or hungover whilst playing, yet he still won a prem player of the season award, shambolic behavior Irish guy
You should have watched Moutinho at Porto! I say he's been Portugal's best midfielder since Deco & now in his 30s no one would blame you if you pick him above Neves, William or Danilo
I'd have maybe said lanzini or Anderson for West ham, maybe delefeou for Watford, Fraser for Bournemouth or maybe even Stanislas, Everton Bernard. There's a lot of choices for a lot of teams tbh
I was a big fan of Ben Arfa, he was superb. I’d put him up alongside Ginola, Robert, Asprilla, Beardsley and Waddle. But for me, NUFC’s most naturally gifted player of all time was Paul Gascoigne. Even though he was a young lad at Newcastle, he was incredible.
He did mention Giggs, He just happens to consider Scholes to be the more naturally gifted player - And frankly I'd agree with him on that - As great as Giggs was Scholes was Unique! It's such a pity he threw his dummy out of the pram and took his ball home when Rooney arrived on the scene for England - Yes that's right it was Rooney who took Scholes natural place in the England team NOT Gerrard or Lampard!
Fffs hate man utd but go on and watch the interview with Rio Ferdinand and then you will see who he said was the most talented teenager and it wasn't Giggs
Of course it had to be Paul Scholes for ManU, a man who could play in any position from midfield to striker and do a good job. He had the vision, the passing, the space-time perception who made him not lose a ball, and to top it all off, long shots master, volleyed balls like it's nothing and if you throw him into the box, he's cold blodded as they come. If he had the physicallity of CR7, i mean... That would just be unfair for the other players. The only things he lacked were strenth, height and pace. Those three things were average, but the rest, just pure, raw talent
i’m sure adama could also be one of wolves’ most naturally gifted players as well, extremely fast, very very good at dribbling, the only thing he didn’t have naturally was his strength
