When you are planning to go through IVF, I suggest to embrace the bloatedness and weight gain. Don’t be too hard on yourself and accept the body change and think positively as much as you can And everything will go through smoothly. For the injectables, lidocaine cream and ice are your friends.
I have three girls and we would like to do gender selection or family balancing for a boy or maybe twin boys. I am 31 years old and I would like to know what would be a success rate for me to do a IVF gender selection.
Get your AMH and AFC done and your doc will then tell you what your IVF pyramid will look like. Read the following article: draimee.org/what-is-ivf and draimee.org/5-things-to-ask-before-ivf-for-gender-selection
Fantastic video! You are every woman’s dream doctor. May I ask a question? In my Day 3 baseline ultrasound report, there is mention of 2 fibroids: one is intramural (1cm in diameter) and the other is subserous (4cm) in anterior position. Would you treat those before IVF? I discovered these when I asked for the report but my doctor did not mention anything and gave the OK to proceed. Thanks!!
Ahhhh, thank you for such a sweet comment. As far as the fibroids, if they are causing you pain/discomfort/affecting your bladder/back etc, then I would consider removing the 4cm fibroid. The reason? it can get bigger in pregnancy. About 1/3rd of the time they do. So if you're already having issues , you may want to consider removal. Otherwise, I have a 5cm rule. If a fibroid is 5cm in size or bigger, I recommend removal. I'm glad you asked about my approach to fibroids.
Egg Whisperer Show Thank you so much for your response. It’s reassuring. The fibroids are not causing any discomfort or symptoms whatsoever. I didn’t even know I had them :)
Hi Aimee I've just found your super helpful videos & ivf tips in 2022. Aww thanks so much Aimee. You are truly a diamond 💎 Finally I've found a Dr so passionate about fertility & genuinely cares for people. Starting IVF this month & im prepared thanks to your checklist & questions to ask my Dr. Lots of love from Fiona Beth, Auckland New Zealand 🇳🇿 ❤xo
I love your show Dr A, I watched this episode and now am seeing Dr Ambartsumyan :) She’s very compassionate and truly is invested in my success. She really listened to me and collaborated with what I have researched and gave me her opinions vs a set cookie cutter protocol. My 4th IVF round was a success in my book! Waiting to do another after mock cycle. Thanks for sharing different doctors and tools!
@@EggWhisperer thank you so much for answering 🥰🥰. It was really difficult and the doctor had to change catheters many times. The main doctor wanted to do it thru the abdomen. But she end up getting in there. 🤷♀️. I appreciate your time and all the information you give to all of us. ❤
Claris you’re very welcome. If this transfer wasn’t successful I would do the following if you were my patient: consider cervical dilation while under anesthesia using abdominal ultrasound guidance and also do a hysteroscopy if your doc thinks it would be helpful while there
Amie C there are Meds you can use like depot lupron, even Femara in a transfer protocol has been shown to help with endometriosis. Also surgery can help too in some cases.
I can't believe I'm just now finding your videos!! I am scheduled for egg retrieval in tomorrow and I feel better after watching just a few of your videos. I'm in the Bay Area and a huge factor in my decision to move forward was the doctor that I met with... fast forward a month later and I have met with four different doctors for ultrasounds... I feel like I'm just being shuffled through the staff! There was going to be a dr that I've never even met before do my retrieval but I really pushed the issue so my dr made arrangements to do it. Overall I'm pretty disappointed with the level of information that has been shared. Thank you for the information - I have a long list of questions now for my dr. Lastly are there ever cases where you perform the retrieval without full sedation?
