Just watched an interview on Breaking Points with a veteran from the USS Liberty, his fellow mates were killed by israel and their superiors were co-conspirators. I could feel his feelings of being betrayed by the people he trusted; his superiors, the administration, congress, media, .... But he is still fighting till this day to get some accountability. I know the khutbah was not meant to be political but the events are so earth shattering that it just finds itself relevant in so many aspects of life.

We just found out from a contractor working on our apartment that our roof is completely rotted through and that there is nothing supporting it, and our landlord is refusing to fix it. I cannot say how meaningful and important this video was, I’m only five minutes in. The contractor came to us and told us our rights and told us that we shouldn’t let this. Just make us move out, but that we should fight. I feel this video and his conversation were both a blessing from Allah SWT
