Thank you World Surf League for opening up the vault so we can remember the past great Surfers and enjoy the championship tour history.... Happy surfing from Virginia Beach! :-)
@@wsl Nooo proooblemaaa. It's really fun to watch people that are good at what they do and me personally helps me to learn how to surf better by watching people that are actually good at what they do and it's highly entertaining and educational and just pure fun to watch high level surfing. Hopefully I will get a chance to see elite level surfing 🏄 with my own eyes one day and not just in video form... Happy surfing from Virginia Beach! :-) Peace and Shaka, Kyle
Yes I did like that... I am going to head over to worldsurfleague.com and stay on World Surf League until I watch everything at least 100 times and then do it again and again until I become the surfer that I dream of in my mind... Thanks World Surf League! :-) Happy surfing from Virginia Beach! :-) Kyle
@@wsl I got to give credit where credit's due. You guys are one of my favorite channels... I used to stand the magazine section at the grocery store growing up and as an adult staring at surfing pictures trying to imagine what the heck was going on in the picture but with the World Surf League Channel I don't need to use my imagination anymore... I can finallyyy see how awesome it is to ride a wave and see what's truly capable of what a high-level Elite professional Surfer can do on a wave... Nothing beats video footage of amazing surfing... Thanks guys!!!+++:))) Oh yeah, I am enjoying all the host studio time analysis and commentary footage plus the amazing new shows and interviews... Happy surfing 🏄 from Virginia Beach, Kyle
Awesome place to have a pro contest. The Search vid of the event is called "Absolute Mexico". A MUST WATCH. Kelly Slater called this contest one of the surf events he's ever surfed, in a interview just a few months ago.
@@wsl It's a shame AI didn't seem to realize that a whole generation loved him so much for both his personality and his amazing surfing ! Mo from Morocco
Not to take anything away from those guys, but I believe that if this event was held in 2020, we would see guys riding the barrels a lot deeper compared to 2006. The barrel riding technique has improved a lot in 14 years. Some of the barrels on this waves were really wasted by a few of the surfers in my opinion.
Nonsense. Typical comment from a brazzo. Back then there were many great tuberiders on tour who also had lots of flow and could mix power surfing with innovative manoeuvres (Andy, Kelly, Parko, Mick, Bruce, the Hobgoods and even Taj). Right now you hardly have anyone as complete as this generation as John John.
