It's scary too as it downhill going into the corner. So you're choice is to get off the throttle early or make a mistake and end up in New Zealand. But not scary enough for me not to do next time I'm in Oz.

I found the trickiest thing about Phillip Island was the fact we had our credit cards paper clipped to the forms with a $3500 deposit until we handed the BMW back in one piece. 😂 One Turkish lad lasted 2 sessions before wadding a bike in spectacular fashion at the Hayshed. Epic circuit and one ticked off the bucket list along with Laguna Seca.
Yes! We’re on the hook for the damage which if we rode on our bikes, is the same (or worse). This was a big trip for me and I did not want another $3500 added on. I hope tat Turkish lad was rich or got off easy with the damage. Laguna Seca is on my list too. Somehow I made it to Phillip island first even though Laguna is 1500kms away from me.
@@leeridefar Ummmmmm........ sadly, Tolga (Turkish lad) wrote it off and lost his entire deposit plus brand new Simoncelli rep lid, Dainese leathers and got what I thought was a broken scaphoid into the bargain. Turned out it was a sprain. Guess the moto gods figured he'd suffered enough. We were lucky enough to also race at Collie Motorplex near Perth. I've also raced at Willow Springs and ridden Sears Point (or whatever they call it these days) Really want to ride VIR. I live 25 miles from Cadwell park in the UK
@@leeridefar mines the last onto the straight, lent all the way to the left, it crests a little so your blind on the run in a little when your helmets inches off the ground. And it's the one corner you want to hit right, main straights coming.
