Literally the best tennis teacher online. This young man explains what (and most importantly why) so well. There are 60 year olds (online) with more experience that cannot explain nearly as well.

I have to be honest lots of coaches especially on RU-vid don’t teach the forehand in a great way, I think the way you explain it is pretty solid

As an amateur player let me tell you after following Vinces advice my game changed 200%. And i wasnt a bad player by any stretch. Everything ma mans says is right on the money. Power, clean and consistent hitting. And you look at the pros and they all hit like this. You'd do well for your tennis to follow VInces advice. I guarantee it'll be worth it.

This a great explanation, imho, maybe you focus the attention right after to the kinetic chain: from the ground up leg-hip-hand. The kids need to have the feeling of generating the power effortlessly, it should feel like throwing the racquet at the ball; you can’t throw far with your upper body especially if it’s stiff. Look at your right foot, the toes are not pointing fwd sometimes bcz you are not pushing into the ground the hip doesn’t accelerate properly. Too much focus on the upper body, prioritize the lower body, loading the back leg, pushing into the ground, the hip rotation, the weight shifting fwd towards the contact point, the hand the barrel of the gun, to accelerate and deliver the power & spin generated by the bigger muscles

Get what you’re saying but those kids aren’t going to be able to that at their age. At least most of them so why do this lesson in front of them?
@ender133
@ender133 3 месяца назад
What makes you think whether or not they can do it has anything to do with age....there is a strength component if they play up an age division but if they are hitting against a comparably strength opponent the abbreviated technique should still work. This statement feels like "don't teach anyone the right technique regardless of age because only a minority are going to be able to execute it" I'm california we have oodles of 10 and 12 years olds who can do this....

Great video Tennis Doctor, though I find it is important to single out by name not just Evan, but the other terrible playing children, and make sure you tell little Sally and little Petey that they also suck as bad as Evan. Sheesh, Tennis Doctor's courtside manner isn't very conducive to learning 😉

He’s still using a “big C” when he swings. This is comical as usual. There’s simply more wrist involved and yes, the arm must be loose.
