“They aren’t old enough to make the decision to have their faces out for the world to see” This resonates with me so much. I can’t believe people smear FB and IG with their kids faces. It’s a gross invasion of privacy

The other night I was talking to my daughter and our conversation was around tools... she is her fathers daughter... she is doing over her kitchen all new cabinets, knocked down a wall and expanding the kitchen. Then we got into where to buy tools... and which ones are the most important to have, the biggest bang for your buck tools... it was a very interesting conversation! Also, she has 9 kids, full time job and home schools and she has more energy... I put her on to your videos. I found this very interesting how you got started, now... I understand why your videos are so well put together, probably why you're one of my favorite woodworkers! Great job, keep up the good work... another morning coffee video for me! :)

Hi Tamar, I first heard about you when you explained a very complicated wood joint (which I have since lost in RU-vidspace). Bravo for that one. I went on to look for jigs since I was given a small router for Christmas. I have not heard your pronunciation of drawer until this Q & A video. I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada where most say "droar" for drawer. Accents are interesting - and yours is so compelling together with your wonderful presentations. Keep up the good work. Larry

I've been wondering about this for a long time... I'm looking over your left shoulder, underneath the workbench behind you, those grey boxes with the neon green trim... so many woodworking channels i subscribe to have them,,, what the heck are they... thanks... i love this video and all your others... keep producing!!... Best, Rob.

I'm a recently retired Electrical Engineer, and I love the fact that you can relate to me - or rather "us" - those who aspire to make homemade beautiful stuff. Also, I love that you use a "job site table saw" rather than a huge heavy table saw with a huge table built around it. I don't have a woodshop - I have a two car garage that is filled with house overflow, my boat, a 4x4 ATV and my tools. So my "unheated" work area is smallish. I appreciate you sharing what tools are most valuable to you as well.

Thank you for sharing yourself with us. I agree with you; woodworking is the easy part, planing and setting up the shots for proper video flow in post production is probably the hardest part! My wife and I produced a 28 episode 30 minute cooking show for public TV in the early 2000’s (on tape and transitioned thankfully to digital). We each had a camera on tripods. I had the closeup and she had the wide angle which make things a lot easier to edit. I do admire your skills as your tasks were so much more demanding and you do such a great job producing your very polished videos! Please keep them coming! (If we were closer to you, I would volunteer to be your helper and learn a lot from you!)

You talked about struggles finding ideas. The thing I appreciate about your videos is that you use the tools you have, rather than buying a special tool for a purpose. This helps me a lot. I would love a series where you just practiced some specific woodworking skills, even on scrap wood. The fundamentals. Doesn't have to be long - spend 5 minutes telling me how you learned to make a specific joint, or whathaveyou. I am sure my suggestion isn't the greatest way to optimize for Google's algorithm, though, so I understand if it's not the best suggestion.

You're a very gifted and compelling communicator. The more I watch of your videos the more impressed I am with your skills and values. Thanks for popping the privacy bubble enough to share a bit with us. I really liked the black carcass/birch drawer fronts of your router table, so used a similar color scheme for a small shop cabinet with drawers. Many thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks Tamar. You've satisfied all my curiosities about your skills and other questions I have pondered. I am 73 and first started my woodworking as a hobby in the 80's while working as a carpenter/renovator but still consider myself a novice. I've learned from and been inspired by your videos. Watching them is like cold lemonade on a hot summer day. Keep up the good work and now maybe I'll take the leap and try making something with "draws".

Cudos to you for the way you arrange your RU-vid work - both how professional your videos are made and that you keep your kids, husband and private life separated from it. I am sure a lot of us would love to see your family in the videos but I have nothing but respect for you and your decision to keep your private life private and I am certain most If not all of your followers feel the same way! Thank you for showing us and teaching us stuff in woodworking and always doing so with a smile. It is very much appreciated! Ten thumbs up! You and your family stay safe, as well as all your followers!
