Slept in a rental in Denver once. Had a early flight out & drove there the night before. Didn't want to pay for a room so I got some weed, found a cool spot & kicked it all night. Laid the seats down, had a blanket & my bad as a pillow, hotboxed the car & looked out over the skyline. It was nice.

This hits pretty damn close to home. All of my high school friends including me are turning 27 next year and its such a weird stage in life where you either have it all together or everythings falling apart. There is no in between. Even after that, I didn’t subscribe until very recently. Since then I’ve been going through his videos in chronological order & when I hit play here I couldn’t believe that the hilarious but sentimental video I’ve always remembered was him 😂 Anyway, I’m stuck in bed recovering from an injury right now so I typed a really long comment. Hope I remember to delete this embarrassing nonsense tomorrow.

Yep, you summed everything up pretty good. When you are the guy who's doing " pretty good " it just looks like the world has gone away from you, it fells as you don't fit anywhere, or with anybody, you are not jealous of your friends, you are actually happy for them, and to see then, but then it comes the sadness you feel about yourself becoming nothing and you don't feel you can hang with them anymore. Always looking for the next day, and thinking somehow you gonna pull through it all.

My friend cutter was like that for me. After high school I was the last of our friends to move out and start our lives. Which is funny, because I was also the first to move out. I got a seasonal job in Washington multiple states away from our home state and did that for a few months. But after that job I moved back to my moms until I could find out what I wanted to do. Instead I ended up living there for over a year with no job or realistic goals. He was in college at U of A and I was really jealous at the fact that he knew what he wanted to do. But every time he came home we’d hang out and he’d try to convince me that my position was completely normal and ok. After a while I decided it was time to move out and get on with life and he talked me through the whole process to get into college in Phoenix. I’ll be back home later this week, and now for the first time we’ll both be hanging out in our hometown on break from college.

What I see in this is two people who, despite whatever is going on in their lives, value, care for, and want to support each other. And that the vulnerability of expressing that can feel awkward and hard, but it doesn't make it any less important. As someone who chose to live in suv and then van. This used to be true. Colorado, New Mexico, Kentucky, California, and Arizona they will kick you off property when it gets a few hours after dark. Now this is big cities not small towns. It does still slide in some places. If you pull into parking lot and it specifically states no overnight parking they mean it. But this is coming from a helpful side so wish it was true and bless you for trying to help people 🤟

@@diarymadman-ju1ji Some don't mean it some do. the trick is to change which walmart you are at. Stay at one walmart one night, stay at another, the next night, go to another the night after that, then return to your first walmart... The signs do mean it sometimes(havent found one that did, but I also havent lived in my car for extremely long periods of time), and sometimes they dont, just don't park close to the store, take the farthest spot away from the store, or the least "liked" spot by the customer, if you're working a job you should have no problems because you'd be leaving their lot by 6AM to 9AM, and those aren't super active hours for a walmart. When I lived in my car the walmarts I stayed at never came out and chased me off the lot, I pretty much stayed at the same walmart for multiple days at a time and never had issues, even though they had signs saying no over night parking.

I think it's just that this is truly inspired, he had a vision, idea or story that he wants to share for it's own sake, and for the sake of sharing the feelings it evokes. Most tv and movies are kind of just incidental to making money, and it doesn't matter how talented or creative a writer is, if there's no inspiration, everyone can tell. The big shows are always trying to write shit that *sounds* inspired, rather than just making the sort of things that they can really speak through.

She has dropped out of college, has no job, has him pay for everything, & has a history of accusing her exes of abuse. When I texted him asking how he was doing the other day he told me that the job was just alright but that his relationship was perfect. I know people these days aren’t religious but I prayed to God last night asking to show me how my friend was actually doing & when I woke up & opened RU-vid this was the first video that came up in my recommendations. Update: He failed his psyche evaluation & was let go as an officer. I’m so worried about him. Update #2: He’s still with this girl atm, but he did end up moving back to our home state

I’m 27, I actually am doing “pretty good” literally, but I have been in some awful, dark, hopeless situations in the past but I have worked hard to pull myself out of the hole I was stuck in. I rarely see my friends I grew up with but when I do catch up with them (very rarely) most of them are in really bad situations. Drug addiction, gambling addiction, still living with parents, drug dealing etc. it’s sad to see the boys I grew up with who once had dreams and ambitions let it all go to waste.

I turn 27 in a month, glad I'm not alone. I've had a rough time but things are finally looking up! But Same thing happened with most of my old friends too, mostly drugs and partying too much. Kinda glad I don't stay in touch with any of them.
@marcriba7581
@marcriba7581 9 месяцев назад
Bruh beware with the whole "they're letting all go to waste" stuff. I've been in community rehab and I've heard enough life stories of addicts to make myself the idea that "you always have a choice" is true-ish, it doesn't account for what choices life offers you. The vast majority of addicts come from abusive families, burying their feelings and memories becomes a growing need while adulting, most of them hadn't acknowledged that background (even to themselves) until their life was already a total mess and therapists were pulling their proud tongues.

I once spent a weekend with a friend who was staying in an abandoned private power station and spending his days chopping firewood to cook with, and taking walks into the local town for supplies. We had a really good time just hanging out to be fair

I’ve always wondered this. Where do car sleepers park for the night? I can think of danger in every possible location. Wilderness - No witnesses, serial killer’s easy target Car park (parking lot) of some busy 24/7 location - Harassers, and security moving you along Surburbs - Residents calling cops Busy 24/7 non-residential road - Loud, still risk of harassers or muggers Like... where can people go? Are there groups that meet up to sleep near each other?
