Actually you can actually know EXACTLY when you join Genshin Impact if you forgot: 1. Go to menu on the top left 2. Go to Character Archive 3. Scroll to the bottom and click on Amber 4. The bottom right date is when you join Genshin and when you got Amber.
Fun fact if u dont live in mainland China your uid can start with 1 if you’re on Asia server. Happened to me got super confused checked Reddit and found out the Asia server reached over 100million players so the uid “reset” back to one 💃🏻 so in the future the other servers could get new numbers too once they reach 100 million each server ✨
Hey! I guess that means I’m around the 4,000th Genshin player in the US 🙂 Fun fact, they actually opened the servers an hour and 20 minutes before the announced opening time, so I suppose I was lucky enough to be impatient haha
What's strange is that my number after the first is 1, but I was playing like, 3-4 days after my brother played, which was a day or two after Genshin was released
I also have a 'one' after the first number and I swear I have been playing since like a week and a half after Genshin's first release... Guess this tells how popular Genshin is, and was at its first release, too...!

Usually ordering IDs incrementally is prone to security risks, since if a vulnerability is found that can apply to any account, it’s very simple to just start from 1 and start wreaking mass havoc. Luckily I don’t think you can get any info from just the UID besides the name of the account, but if a way to trace back a person’s email, or find a way to log into even 1/1000 of the accounts from a UID, a lot of damage can be done.
that's true and there are actually lots of hacked genshin accounts, all you have to do is get all the nicknames from the UIDs, probably some list already exist in the internet, and use each nickname of them to login with some hacked and leaked password list, many people use same password everywhere, genshin is a very popular game, chances of it working are very small but they exist for sure
I think it's actually somehow possible to give Genesis Crystals simply by knowing the UID. Well this isn't something inherently bad i guess but i've seen that streamers i watch that hide their UID all the time play normally while people who had it leaked seem to randomly get Genesis Crystals every now and then.
6013 is the start of my UID. I started within the hour that Genshin was launched, but even still I'm 1.3 million users behind people who signed up earlier in the hour than I did, and that number as only grown to over 100 million if we just look at that final number for largest server counts as of this video. Puts into scale how big Genshin has really gotten
This is only a theory but seeing how rng works in a lot of old games i think the ID is used in some part of the RNG algorythm because some accounts are a lot more luckier than others
2 years later here, and just recently clocked the date of October 13, 2020 (not related to Genshin in general, but just wanted to give it a quick mention if anyone even cares about it). This is the same day where a gang member from UK’s Purple Haze, Shak, died from gunshot wounds and 20 of his friends left him. R.I.P Shak 🕊️

My first for uid numbers are 6001 I started playing at launch by my internet was slow so I was one of the later players to get in that day. I think being within the first 200k player in the game is nice.
I remember the exact date my account was created 10/08/20 I checked and it definitely has that zero. I’ve been playing since Venti’s first banner. I remember when I didn’t have access to Dragon spine.

EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE 2024: due to the number of Asia server accounts, new accounts created recently will start with 18 instead of 8. Other servers will follow suit when storage runs out.
