I appreciate your advocacy for property rights and liked your gripe on no deliveries too. My brother lives out in Snowmass and a friend out in Denver. I really like what you put together regarding Pagosa Springs (more my speed). When I decide, if finances/job allows me to buy there, I'll give you a call. Thanks again for the realistic info especially how the local builders/building practices are handled. Things are more complicated than they seem & if you don't follow the guidelines it can cost you.

Just bought an existing used place in Aspen Springs... I really hope Pagosa DOESN'T become another Steamboat or Aspen... "Keep Pagosa HUMBLE and underdeveloped" 😎☮🖖

I hear ya. Question though, how would you feel about the PAWSD bringing in main water lines to Aspen springs? Would that be considered not humble and overdeveloped? Sincerely asking. Where does the line stop for development and who decides it?

@@LorenPagosasRealtor I'm gonna assume you're being honest in your question. I took a course decades ago on urban planning and development...in Southern California (Orange County, when it was mostlyfarms and ranches still), before it was destroyed by over development and unchecked urban sprawl. It's not hard to avoid corporate cookie cutter "max profit" urban sprawl. A determination can EASILY be made as to what the carrying capacity of the land and resources is...and stay UNDER that limit. There's NO NEED to exploit every square inch of any given area just to squeeze revenue out if it. ...of course, a lengthy in depth discussion isn't possible here...but to repeat what EVERY ruined "pretty spot" has done is to guarantee a ruined and overdeveloped town eventually. JMO ...I have no issue with utilities being available to all in the area... in fact, I think that'd help keep the area more pristine than everyone having to dig wells for themselves. But OVERLORD style "Soviet" central control of anything is unacceptable. Inalienable rights and good land stewardship do not have to be sacrificed for quality living. JMO

@@LorenPagosasRealtor let me clarify "humble and overdeveloped"... Keep LOTS of distance between domiciles...and don't "gentrify" the area. As, the "rich" won't have any "peasantry" to cater to them if balance isn't restored to the local economy... Having utility access does not contribute to having g too dense of populatuin...too many houses and too many people does. ...let me ask...What do you think would the "we're full" number for the town?? If that can be determined...then build away until that number is achieved AND THEN STOP. Cannibalistic Capitalism...is a blight. And for the record...I'm a Voluntaryist/Anarchist...with NO use for the State, monopolies on violence or "authority" that I don't consent to... ☮🖖
