I wished they focused more on building a post-apocalyptic world story. We’re just treated as this invincible messiah (Scar was the saving grace) but as you travel around the map, it’s clearly a post apocalyptic world that’s still at war

It's a pretty chinese culture - densed game and the translations are.. uhh. they are there I guess. Like there are so many things I doubt non-Chinese can understand just from the in game texts. For one Jinzhou is not a city. It's a huge region/Province/or American State. In modern China if you see a place ending with "Zhou" (Chinese character meaning "state") it's a city. However this game draws elements from traditional Chinese culture in pre-modern time. A "Zhou" can have many cities and sub-territories. Jinzhou is a huge region with many many sub-regions as shown in the map. In the Chinese version of the game, Jinzhou the city is labeled "Jinzhou city" but in English it's just Jinzhou. It's the administrative center of most of the 1.0 wuwa map which are all Jinzhou. And that is just one thing out of many things about this game people might not understand. Maybe I should start making videos about them🤔

I had a lot of trouble understanding the world and its naming. But for easier understanding: Huanglung - Teyvat Jinzhou - Region (i.e. Mondstandt, Liyue) Sentinel - Archons Lament - Abyss. Resonators - Vision holders Forte - Constellation

After ending the main story for release I must say that we'll need aster to sum it up. Kuro is good at making flashy combat scenes, but in terms of storytelling... let's say that "awful" can be considered an understatement in this case.

Why did they have to name it the lament? Makes me laugh every time Maybe I'm just too zyox pilled

Yooo! Nice one. Looking for WuWa lore content. Love the story and lore so far despite the slow and meandering Act I-III, but it ramps up after that. Also, I love how the narrative is dark and mature but has light moments. It seems like it's target audience are 18 and above.

I'm not against criticism because we need to criticize things that we love in order for them to improve. That way I behave was imature and I deeply apologize for it. It's always hard trying to understand the terms when picking up a new game. What are your initial thoughts on the world building? I am intrigued with the concept of frequencies and echos. I really hope they really flash out the lore and lot let it fall behind in favour of combat.

It's racked with terminology. And there's no in-game glossary. How are you supposed to keep ppl in game until they make a purchase when there's no information on the terms readily available somewhere inside the game?

Okay I’m having problem playing the game because, 1) the game can’t be played on my laptop because it has some kind of errors, that cause it to crash when I start the game. 2) the game can’t be played on my ad because it keeps crashing on me. The one scene just after we defeated the waves of TD attacking the city and was talking about the moon being kind of blurry, and Jinhsi was checking in on us with her hologram. Yeah my game always crash at scene and now I can’t continue playing it anymore. For context, I have no problem running both Genshin and Star Rail on my laptop (at the same time) and the same goes for my tablet. WW is just horrible when it comes to optimization.

unironically, the opening act of this game could use a Paimon to simplify everything they try to complicate for no reason at all lol whoever thought it was a good idea to throw random new terms and slangs to a new player's face at the very start deserves to be fired (and it seems so, since Kuro is looking for a new writer, after the game launched lol). And the subpar localization, the bad EN dub, and texts cannot appear for more than 3 lines definitely didn't help

Bro they said in other places than houlong sentinels appear different and jinzhou is in houlong territory my doubt is that, is all of the map in 1.0 just jinzhou? and are there more cities in houlong to explore cause they said there are more 8 loong statues in houlong? and other than houlong are there more nations cause they said in other nations sentinels appear different? cause that's huge huger than genshin in genshin we get 1 city for 1 nation but here we are getting multiple cities in just one nation and to think all that map in 1.0 is just one city of houlong

I see why they added the skip function to most of the story points in the game. This sounds so lame and overcomplicated for no meaningful or compelling reason. I don't understand why Chinese, Korean and Japanese people are so bad at storytelling more often than not.

This is my biggest issue with getting into the story... The amount of Jargon I don't understand is too much to get what's happening. I've experienced the same in another game called Ex Astris but at least there you can actually see the logs to what they mean right after it's mentioned.

And all this is in the first 2 HOURS????????? Next level infodump holy shit That's why too much I think for the first 2 hours we should've gotten only the information about where we are and a little about the supernatural stuff since it's what we encounter in the prologue

And then we never heard about this game from her ever again
