My problem is whenever I look for freight broker jobs through indeed a lot of Job openings want you to already have a book of business. So how can I get hired as a beginner without a bill of business?
I truly enjoy your coaching. Im slightly stuck as a new broker who started my own company. I'm going thru the tutorials to fill in the gaps. You're appreciated
#1 Rule in starting any starting any Company especially a Broker, at least have a few clients so you have a base to build on. You need income to keep any company a float. Getting an experience from a true brokerage would give you the base not the many " Brokerage Training" programs like these. Hold your money, research and generate a business plan. This is a cost plus business. If you have no experience, not a good idea just to open and take a training class. For example, just because you tasted some good Greek food, doesn't mean you open a Greek Restaurant. Be careful, there are 1000's of "Broker Training to make you Millions" all over and especially the 'I can Mentor' you programs.Take your time...
Well said and great advice. We believe the same, which is why we created our product and continue to create content to help those in our industry. Thanks for watching!
I've been seeing alot of upset truckers saying their brokers are crooks, or are stealing from them, or low balling them in their money. Is it possible for a beginner broker to both honest, respected, and profitable?
This is absolutely true, but husband is a truck driver in cali and it happens to him often. It's super sad because they work so hard and on the road risking their lives and brokers don't give a shit they just want their money.
I drive a truck for Werner enterprise as an OTR driver, is it possible for me to learn the trade and move back to Ireland where I’m from and work from there? And how and where would I start?
Assuming you mean a broker that relies on owner ops that run locally, it is possible but not recommended. If you’re only working with shorter hauls there’s not really much margin to cover a brokerage’s over head. As a broker you want higher mileage lanes bc your % is worth more.
@@Chief9Arrows if you have your brokerage authority, you are licensed to broker loads. Our course covers the entire process of building your brokerage. www.dat.com/brokers/freight-broker-training-course
R+L, Xpo, The larger firms will hire you with zero experience and you’ll get paid to learn. Not trying to knock freight broker training videos but I suggest going that route
@@AL19886 I started at R+L (paramount l) And I didn’t have much experience. Maybe you just need to know somebody but all my coworkers were pretty also new to the industry 100%. It was a really cool place to get paid to learn
@@AL19886 yeah just go into it with some sales experience that’s the main thing. There is also echo, TQL, CH Robinson but I hate those companies however they will hire you and pay you in the mid 30s your first year with an impossible bonus structure. You can get in the 40s with R+L
