Looks very straight forward and you folks did a good job explaining with good visuals. I have one question, how often is this maintenance needed? I realize it's probably based off of use hrs. rather than calendar based.

Hi... Helpful vid, thx ... Quick Q, I understand the towel process to clean the deck and belt, but is there a reason why wasn't it done a 2nd or 3rd time after (manually) rotating the belt. Wouldn't there also be dust and grime on the rest of the belt (underside) that would contaminate the just-cleaned deck? Just curious.

You can absolutely do this on both sides of the belt. With that said we usually do it mainly to clean the deck portion from debris that has fallen from the belt, there is nornally more debris there then you would find still adhered to the belt.

I’m a little confused between loosen the belt and adjusting the belt. Are they two different bolts?

on most treadmills, the bolts that loosen the belt will be the same that you adjust the belt tension with. These bolts go through either side of the rear roller, when loosening be sure to do so with an even amount of turns on each side, then tighten with the same amount of turns on the way back. To adjust side to side movement of the belt, simply turn these bolts a 1/4 or 1/2 turn at a time to help the belt track straight.

I was about to follow the instructions but checked the manual. My manual reads "Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high-performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform unless instructed to do so by an authorized service representative. Such substances may deterio-rate the walking belt and cause excessive wear. If you suspect that the walking belt needs more lubricant, see the front cover of this manual." It seems a bit odd. But my manual also includes pricing for a 3 & 5 year plan for preventive maintenance services. My nearest service location is 2hrs away. I also don't want to have to pay for something that is easy to do. Does anyone have any input? I have the Proform Pro 9000

We have seen this from time to time where manufactures specify not to use "silicone spray" however these same treadmills use silicone lubricant in a liquid form. Although we do not carry the ProForm brand, I just took a look and they do utilize a silicone lubricant "packet" which is a liquid silicone.
