One of the best episodes in television history. Patrick knocked it out of the park with this performance.

According to Jonathan Frakes, the outdoor scenes were filmed entirely indoors at Paramount Studios. He said this during the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" Viewer's Choice Marathon, which he hosted. This episode made it to #4.

This is one of my favorite TNG episodes. Not only for the moving story and great performance by Patrick Stewart, but also because the actress who plays his wife (Margot Rose) looks so much like an old family friend it's uncanny. I enjoyed her performance as well, and I haven't seen her in anything since which is a shame.

Lucky that the planet Kitan had people that looked exactly like humans. What if Worf was caught in the beam?

I find this episode so odd. Advanced enough for launching probes that can bypass shields of an advanced civilization, but th3y have no cell phones, no cars, no planes, no roads, no advanced farming equipment. There is a huge discrepancy in technology levels. Can send deep space probe that can keep up with impulse speeds, but can't build a ship to save thier people?

If only Picard knew how to play any common/typical instrument, he could surprise them by demonstrating skills he shouldn't have. ... I mean, he could still do that in other ways, but what skills does he have that he shouldn't? He's command. He can give orders. That's not gonna convince anyone, hah. 1:05 Row, row, row your boat...

Why doesn't Picard tells his wife "I'm Locutus of the Borg, resistance is futile", etc? Hot! 🤣🖖

I like this episode, but they did gaslight him for the equivalent of 30 years. Im not aure how I would feel about that after waking up
