You got it half right Brother. Yes God is pleased with us because we received Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. Because Jesus is our Lord and Saviour God is eternally pleased with us… our position in Christ has been secured.. God’s love for is is unconditional… God’s love for us is steadfast. But there is another side to this coin. God is pleased with us when we do things that glorify His Son. And God is not pleased with us when we are living sinful, selfish lives. Believers are not robots. We still have a free will. We can choose to live as the world or as God’s Children. We can obey the leading of the Holy Spirit, or we can choose to ignore Him. One choice is pleasing to our Father and the other is not. That doesn’t mean that we are no longer His Child when we are disobedient. But because He still loves us, He will chastise us, as any good parent would do. When we are born again we have surrendered to our Lord. That means my will is now to do those things that are pleasing to Him… my life is not about me and getting what my fresh wants… it’s about Jesus and doing what pleases Him.. And that gives me joy unspeakable. Hallelujah!!! For whom the Lord, loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the Father chastens not. Hebrews 12.6-7 Love you Bro… Have a blessed day🙏
