yes, they are true legend. I think there will be no other music band as ABBA and I say this not because I consider them the best ever but just because there essence ( magic) cannot be copied or repeated .....their music is unique . So lucky your for having been there . I wish I could be there once , too
Here is the technology the protagonist, not the band. Legend? The 2 men of the band always made a good job as componists, they were able to produce perfect easy pop songs. But as vocalists and performers the band was nothing special. And the last album is really average, sounds 40 years old. Overrated band.
@@carloal3498 they are special, the whole world loves -ABBA!!🥰 ( for 2 centuries in a row )!! The voices, compositions, personality - they are unique.. 👏🏻
Nothing can prepare you for being there and experiencing it. The lighting, the sound, the atmosphere and of course ABBA! The creativity and production around the whole show is beyond anything I could have imagined and hoped. The 43 years wait was worth it.
I believe that albeit ABBA put down the sound there is a fairly large amount of additional singers… from RU-vid clip..on a nightly basis!! Super excited!!
Unfortunately, it's not quite possible with this exact tech - they've recorded hundreds of hours of motion cap with them (aside from 3d models), so those are "really" them performing - that's a part of why it's so realistic
@@cheslavo well, maybe after such a success of ABBA's shows, something like that will come true for Beatles as well:) (but I guess there may be some rights issues)
@@ees1905 Not sure if you know, 2 Beatles are still living, the other two have children who are near identical as the dads. Especially George. ITS POSSIBLE
I was born in 1971. I am from North Carolina, USA and my parents bought me their albums at a very young age. I still have those albums and I am still, to this day, a big ABBA fan and I am so excited about this concert! Thank you for the music and the memories!
I was also born in 1971, but in Indonesia, and have been their biggest fan since 1978. I was sooo brokenhearted when they broke up when I was only 11, thinking I wouldn't see them in real life. 40 years of hoping.. Can't wait to see them in Sept!
@@Panegyric123 It is a somewhat complicated technology... to sum it up: they have created 3D models of each ABBA character, then by rigging and MOCAP suits they were able to emulate the movements of each one of them, each one of them had to wear their MOCAP suit and do several hours of acting, the rigging of the face is another process, finally the models can be dressed with 3D suits, the hair, the makeup and everything that is their physical appearance is digitally textured on their 3D model. .. the hologram is another element that makes this technology give the appearance that we are having ABBA on stage... it is the technology that the Japanese have had for several years now.
Went to see this tonight and I’m speechless, nothing like anything I’ve ever seen - and I’ve been to Olympics opening ceremonies and seen U2 in their stadium pomp dozens of times, but what ABBA have done with this show is so unique and so powerful. It’s a show with no equivalent anywhere else and if I could, I would have bought another ticket immediately and watched the show a second time. I wasn’t prepared for how emotionally connected I became to what I knew were CGI avatars of the band, it was the closest I’ve ever felt to being in a time machine and bringing people back from the past. An absolute masterpiece, even by ABBA’s high standards
I am a 57 year old man, have seen this 4 times now with different friends. The first time I literally cried like a baby. Its just awesome. The chills i got when they first come through the stage and start with the visitors. The show is full of emotion and just shear joy. I still cant believe what ive watched. The whole atmosphere was something ive never experienced and ive seen some huge concerts in my time. Everyone was so happy, dancing, singing and some, like me, with tears in their eyes. Truly amazing. Ive never heard anyone say they didn't like it. Took my wee sister a few weeks back, she wasnt a huge abba fan, and she said I cant believe what im watching and at the end asked to get tickets for the next night. Go see the greatest pop band bar none, you will live it. Long live abba. ❤
I didn’t manage opening night but made the second night and it was an absolute spectacle. I’ve wanted to see an Abba concert ever since I was too young to go in 1979. It was just amazing
I went this evening. The show is jaw-droppingly brilliant. The technology to produce this show is astounding. I knew it was going to be good but I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears. This is a must see show whether you like Abba or not
@@ksumar I bought mine at a discount when I pre- ordered the Voyage cd. They now cost £103 to sit but it’s £76 to stand near the stage.Yes it’s expensive but it’s a great show
Thank you so much for replying. I will definitely go and take my daughter as she is currently doing her GCSE's! When I was doing my O Levels ABBA, rocked the stage with Voules Vouz (album) and I got my 1st Music Centre (Toshiba) in 1979... Oh those were the days!
@@mjrussell414 Thank you. 1970's were the best days! ABBA Bee Gees Barry Manilow Carpenters ELO Michael Jackson All rocked the stage 💃 🥁🕺 We had to get a color TV 📺 and VHS 📼!
Knowing how this was made, most of the music and the vocals are from the past, but their expressive animations are from them as they are today. Absolute brilliance!
@@thegreenmanalishiyamadori371 You clearly have not followed the news of how this was done to emulate a 1979 show in a venue ABBA built just for this amazing experience. Look up clips on RU-vid if you care.
@@metalmanny666 More like programmed. This version of ABBA 's show was created with the help of the original members geared up so that their expressions and movements could be recorded for this production. Sort of like how Hatsune Miku's live shows are created, only ABBA looks more real than the holographic singer. And what I have seen, this is a technological, visual and aural marvel that they have done!
I was blown away by this concert last week. I shed tears of joy when l heard their songs. I grew up in the 70s and would never had the chance to see Abba perform as l was 11 when they went their separate ways. Always wanted a more personal connection with the band. Abba tribute bands were OK but this concert has convinced me that l have actually seen them even though it wasn't really them. That's good enough for me. Thank you so much to Abba for bringing this to us as it means so much. I'm still emotional now as it feels like l've had a reunion with some dear friends from.my childhood.
Saw them in Melbourne in 1977. Saw them in London twice in 2022. I was front and centre of stage. The happiest time of my life. I love you ABBA. You have brought joy to my life, and I will forever be grateful. Sending love from Australia. XXXX
ditto george. a world without abba. i dread to think what that would be. they've taken me through my life too and it's been a better one because of them. no doubt about it.
I am just coming from the concert. It was amazing… far beyond I could have imagined! So spectacular, beautiful colours and lights. I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes at each song they sang. I felt like a teenager again… for a short time.. It was like time travelling. Past and future met in this concert. Don’t miss it! Thank you for all those who made it possible to see them. I was born in Hungary and I never had the chance to see them on a concert and now after more than 40 years I could enjoy their amazing performance. Thank you so much
I saw this stellar show last month. Pre-show atmosphere was electric, the expectation immense. Then, when the four black silhouettes rose on stage and the show burst into sound, light and colour, it was an emotional shock. You are not prepared for this. You are not ready, no matter what. The brilliant live band playing near the stage and showing on huge CCTV screens...the amazing Abbatars on the stage and screens...the extraordinary light show. All timed to perfection. Rocking the senses until all you can do is laugh and cry. Beautiful.
The ABBA Voyage show is Absolutely amazing. As a lifelong fan of ABBA from the 70's it was going back in time to when I was a child. This show is a must for all ABBA fans. I can't wait to go again. I love ABBA 💜 ABBA Forever 💜 xx
I went on 6 June and it was incredible- the quality, sound and technology were amazing - danced and sang along the entire time! If you like ABBA at all you absolutely must see this show!!
Just seen the show, it's mind blowing, it's them but you know it's not them. The work that's been put into it is astonishing, the ABBAtars are incredible, every minute detail has been done, facial expressions, even down to fine facial lines, the movements look so natural. A live band to beef up the sound, the songs have been cleverly remixed to give them a fresh feel, isolated vocals on some tracks showing off the girls voices A couple of songs have given a showcase animation to accompany them. Throughout the show the lighting is incredible. The finale had an unexpected surprise which was superb. If you get the chance, go see it. It's like them in 1977 but now in the 21st century.
Went from Boston, US last year to attend on my 60th birthday. When ABBA rises up to the stage during the opening “The Visitors” it was like an aural and visual tidal wave crashed over the audience. I’d never experienced anything like it. I could actually feel it, the power, the magic. I so want to experience it again. Even if you don’t like ABBA, see this show-it’s just incredible.
I saw this last November with my parents, in fact, this was a special gift my mum got for her birthday, because she's a big ABBA fan, and truly, it was spectacular! I mean, not just the music, but also, the visuals, the imagery, everything else, man, such an experience. And let me in on a little surprise, that was the first concert I ever went to in my life!
What a fabulous night! Seeing IS believing. I saw ABBA live 26/08/22. Mindblowing, amazing, unforgettable. Thank you Agnetha, Annifrid, Benny and Bjorn for coming back to us. We love you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@scottslater7704 wow that's pricey. I live in nz so not much chance me getting to see it, but in nz currency 400£ is equivalent to $770 or thereabouts.
@@morningglory9288 I went on sunday and tickets were £82 each and I think they might get slightly cheaper as it goes on. It is scheduled to go on for a while. I live nearby and apparantly the next building planning on site doesn't have permission until 2026 so I think it's staying for a year at least with a chance for extension
I've been there last Saturday....all the way from Germany.....I came there with high expectations...because for such a price for one ticket....and to set up a whole concert only with "holograms", the show must be good.....but it was way beyond my expectations....my eyes and brain partly couldn't believe what I saw.....it was UNBELIEVABLE.....THIS is the show to go to....you won't be disappointed!
I went on my birthday last 16th June. My aunt tells I used to sing-a-long all their songs at the age of 6. I am Brazilian and back then I didn't speak English. I turned 46 this year and chosen this concert to be my birthday gift. It was worthy every minute. I was jaw-dropped until the third song when I was interrupted by an English lady who asked me: "Are there actual people there?" I think this pretty much summarize what was this experience that I intend to repeat. It was a perfect junction of past and future that blurred the frontiers between reality and fiction so perfectly that I couldn't hold the tears, remembering my mother, who is not among us anymore. "ABBA Voyage" gave me the illusion that maybe one day the past in which she was alive could be brought back to present again. Thank you for everything, ABBA.
The concert was simply unreal. When they entered the stage.... I wept. I cannot understand how they made it look so real. It's like watching a real band perform live right in front of you - literally feet away. What an incredible feat of engineering and tech - more bands should do this, with the aim to live on forever. Stunning in every respect
@@acatnamedjoex4688I have loved ABBA since I was little and never had the chance to see them live. When this is all you have…. and the tech is unreal….. you’d be surprised how much it touches people
The vibe of the concert was insane! You're there with loads of people who also love ABBA and it's so so so great. This video does not capture the experience at all! As a 23 year old, this is the closest I will ever got to ABBA and it was incredible. I cried my eyes out during the concert and I might go again.
I went today and it's a totally mindblowing experience. Definitely the best gig I have ever been to! You really can't tell that you're not watching the real band from 1978. They look so totally real. Astonishing.
I had to come all the way from Brazil just to see this amazing high tec show and it was worth it every penny. Me and my wife loved it. Now I'm back in Brazil with such dearie memories of that show and seeing this video is making me emotional 😢
I flew halfway around the world to see this last week and it was one of the best nights of my life! If you have the opportunity, do it. I had literal tears in my eyes. Thank you for the music 🥹
@@donnabarnes540 it’s a computerized concert without ABBA? I’m sure it looks very nice but I wouldn’t go to an avatar concert unless the real ABBA is there, it was always my dream to meet them!
I saw Voyage last week and I'm still processing it. I'm old enough to have seen ABBA in the 1974 Eurovision song contest, but this rewinded time by about 40+ years. I sat there stunned and with tears rolling down my face. Not only could I have sworn that the four were there on the stage, but the lightshow (and being made of light, the Abbatars were integrated with it) was just jaw-dropping. I'm glad I'm still alive to see such wonders.
Went with 2 friends to see this last night, absolutely fabulous. And they actually came on at the end and took a bow. so ABBA are over here at the moment.
Just back from a trip to London to see ABBA Voyage. It was AMAZING!!! ❤ Honestly, I was expecting something great but I wasn't ready for such a fascinating experience. The tech side of it is really impressive, but it never feels forced or unhuman, on the contrary, it's a very emotional show with many jaw-dropping moments. The opening sent shivers through my spine! Watching Frida shrugging and ruffling her feathered cape as they performed "The Visitors"... It's really something else. The abbatars look so realistic and threedimensional you have to rub your eyes not to believe you're witnessing actual people on stage. My favourite moments were "Chiquitita", "Mamma Mia", the transition from "Lay All Your Love On Me" to "Summer Night City" (absolutely mindblowing) and "When All Is Said And Done". The new songs sounded so good! By the way, the abbatars are just one of the many things that make the show worthy: the lighting, the video projections, the live band... Everything is on point. I think ABBA Voyage is a must for anyone in London.
Wow!!!!........Words are really not enough.....Was at the show a few weeks ago and it was the best entertainment experiences we've seen..... by a mile. Beyond the technology - the joy, the passion and the positivity that flowed through the Abba Arena as the audience experienced the spectacular show was food for the soul. We don't live in the UK, but if I could I'd go to the Abba Experience once a month to stock up on the amazingly positive energy. We can't wait until I get back to see it again xxxxxxxxxx
Took my mum to see it and was blown away with the staging and the whole experience. Crowd vibe was awesome, people all just enjoying themselves with barely a mobile phone in sight!
My friend and Iive in the US and bought tickets the minute they came out, saying who knows? Maybe we’d be able to cross the pond?? We just got back from the best concert of our lives in London!!!! It was absolutely brilliant!!
I attended the concert last August sitting in the middle of sector H. I can't put into words what I saw. I assure you that ABBA was there. It was incredible, mind blowing, insane! A 360º sound and visual experience, something that I will surely never experience again in my life. I recommend everyone, even if you are not an ABBA fan, to attend the concert.
My parents were fans of them so I just assumed the were in their 90's now but the are only in their 70s. Interesting, not much older than my parents. They are very fit and spry for their age too, so good for them. My mom is less and less mobile and my dad is dead so I'm glad to see ABBA is doing so well, I also love many of their songs.
Second time there yesterday, enjoyed it even more than the first time three months ago. It's a concert to remember for a long long time. ABBA is alive and the show is just mind blowing. This trailer is too short to capture this absolutely unbelievable performance.
I was there last night. INCREDIBLE. I started my journey with ABBA when I was 11 years old and they won Eurovision. Very emotional wonderful night. I didn’t want it to end ❤️
I was there tonight and it’s so awesome and completely amazing. It’s a fantastic event to see and experience. I’m blown away. I loved ABBA in the late 70’s as a young teen and the love never stopped, so to see this tonight… tears were in my eyes. Totally brilliant. Thank you ABBA 😘
Went to this show yesterday. Honestly, it blows you away. I don't know how they do it but the tech is just out of this world. Its really is as if they were really on stage. You can't believe what your eyes are telling you. Just an amazing show. I want to go back and do it again.
ABBA did something extraordinary: come back with a new album after almost 40 years without making music together and now They did yet another extraordinary thing: an unprecedented New concert with New technology in a New stadium the images that are seen are impressive, fantastic, incredible The environment that is perceived is amazing, the immersive experience is worth living and the songs "S.O.S." it's still as powerful as it was on their 1974 recording, and the ABBAtars give it all the energy ABBA is definitely in the Great History of the Most Iconic Important and Revolutionary Music Groups Eternal thanks forever to Agnetha Benny Björn A.Frida the Fab Four from Sweden
omfg. looks incredible. just booked tickets with my family 11 of us going. beyond excited. is it as fantastic a voyage as everyone claims it to be? how could it not? love and peace to you all, xxxxxxx
One week ago I was on the Underground to Pudding Mill Station with my daughter to see ABBA Voyage. We travelled over 7500km to see the show and it was even better than I had imagined. I suspect that another ABBA Theatre or two will turn up (Vegas?) and if I am able, I will go again. It was incredible.
Went to the concert today, totally amazing. It’s true you have to see it live to appreciate how good the concert is with all the lighting and Abbatars. The tickets aren’t cheap but worth every penny. Looks like ABBA may have started a new concert concept.
I saw this last night, it's an absolute spectacle, best show I've ever seen, there were parts where I was honestly scratching my head trying to work out what's real and what's not as it's not just ABBA that were avatars
I was privileged to be there on opening night, May 26th. One of the best night's entertainment I've ever seen. Truly Jaw-dropping. The intense work, creativity and talent that went into this has paid off beyond expectations. Absolutely sensational.
Wow! Just bought tickets for 2024 and can't wait. I wasn't old enough to see Abba in their heyday so now thanks to technology, i can experience the Supergroup. It's a once in a lifetime experience. A friend who went to see the show said it was the most incredible experience ever! Happy days!!!!! 🥳🥳
I’ve seen so many great shows and concerts around the world, but NOTHING compares to this one, if I stayed one more day in London I would have gone to see it again.
I went to see Abba voyage last night it was totally incredible it was like we was watching the past and the future entwined together an expearience I will remember forever and if I’m honest I had tears in my eyes ❤❤
Wow! No words can express how amazing this is. As a huge ABBA fan this makes you cry, laugh and sing with joy. The atmosphere is electric, the lighting outstanding and the songs are timeless. It will blow your mind! Go, worth every penny and some. I have second trip booked already. Thank you for the music ABBA!👏👏
What a fantastic show. Saw the show today- no words I can think of can any where near explain what I witnessed, but I will try. It was mind blowing and I mean MIND BLOWING I'm almost 70 and never seen anything like this in all my years and I've been to a few concerts in my time. Just great
Whether you're an ABBA fan or not (I am) this show has to be seen to be believed. From a technological point of view it is awe inspiring. I get that people say its not the same as the real thing, but the fact is we all get old. This brings the original band to a new generation in a way that replicates flawlessly the atmosphere of their live concerts. I for one was absolutely gobsmacked and highly recommend it. The fact that their avatars came on at the end as their present day selves left everyone strangely emotional, and really brought home the passing of time and how quickly it flies. Pure class from start to finish. Loved it!
Just got home from seeing it this afternoon … the videos on YT don’t do it justice, it was amazing! After the first few minutes you forget they are CGI! I’m not one for crying, but I honestly had tears in my eyes … as did most of the audience I think. 👏🏼👏🏼
If I had to make one small criticism, it would be that the show could have been longer. I, and probably everyone else, would have happily sat/stood through a 2 hour show to have had more hits included. What we got tho, was still out of this world! 🤩
I've been involved in a few 'spectaculars' of one kind or another, but I don't recall ever seeing that much sheer joy on the audience's faces. A winner, for sure!
