Just a random guess… but it could be due to the slight incline of the edge acting kinda like a ledge. It would make sense considering how jex isn’t lined up at the same elevation of the rainmaker. It would also explain how the Order Dualies on his team also survived.

Plus, the Splattershot that died was also slightly elevated. although it’s a random guess lol. i could be wrong

@@the_mars_bar ​ Pretty much this! explosions like this are typically handled using a mechanic called LOS (Line-of-sight). You could think of this mechanic as drawing a "line" from the center of your player model, to the object that would be damaging you to check & see if you're exposed enough to be hurt or not. In this scenario, the "line" was obstructed by the slope of the terrain mesh, and thus jex was unaffected by the rainmaker explosion! Similar mechanics also apply to other things that involve "exploding" (I.E bombs, reefslider/splashdown, etc)

Hard agree. To hell with that damn sink. At least with Tri you gotta have good movement and get close. Blobber only needs to do the dumb spam part.
