Great lesson. The extra time spent playing through different sections at different tempos, the clear instruction and time spent to arrange and insert tab set this apart from other lessons. That and the killer sweater.
You know when someone is really good when they make it look so easy when playing. And then when it's broken down as Toni shows us, we can appreciate her talent and skills so much more. So very impressed.
I recently saw a your and reina's old video of Jambalaya. I loved it so much I started searching for more and now I am hooked. I love everything unpretentious about you two. Truly tallented.
Toni, you are SO talented! Love listening to you play with your friends. I just started learning guitar, and hope to play as well as you some day. Keep doing your thing!
"the last move is tricky..." I kinda thought ALL the moves were tricky! (My fingers have lost a lot of their dexterity over the years - but I can still appreciate the heck out of someone who plays well!) Thanks Toni!
I am so impressed with your guitar playing Toni! I first saw you just yesterday with Josh playing the Jim Croce song and was blown away by your playing!
Hi Toni! Nice to see and hear a new vid from you. I'm a US expat, working in Switzerland, and like right now, working on video rushes in postproduction and needed the sound of a guitare and some sort of folks music. You are the winner :-) Sometimes it's nice to hear (or read) hey! I'm working and listening or thinking of you and like U! Enjoy the upcoming weekend and thanks for sharing your knowledge and allowing us to dream, on the music you play for us.
Toni, excellently describe Step by step... Finger by finger... Thumb by thumb... No look at how Good I play... No lightspeed... It's my tea-break... For this pupil A Tea-break... Only brings... Heart-break.. Succinctly... "Did you say... Succinctly?" You bet. Best tutorials!
Hi Toni, would you consider doing a video where you delve into how you went about learning to play? Did you have teachers, are you self taught, how much time do you spend practicing, did you learn music theory and how, what exercises do you find invaluable etc... That would be lovely.
Toni Lindgren mam. You're a goooood artist. You inspire me so much. love to you from india. i just love seeing you play the bass, guitar, harmonica and the double bass. I can imagine the amount of time that you might have spent perfecting things that flow outta you now. I thought of making a simple comment but sorry it turned out to be a love letter. ha ha ha.
Toni; haved loved your playing since I first saw Reina. Have you ever thought of playing a National reverb? One last thing, when you smile you remind me of Kirsten Dunst.
I love your videos, Toni. Many guitar players make this song simpler by placing capo on the first fret. I do. It's not perfect that way, but close enough for my home playing. P.S. Happy NewYear!
Great! A very well taught masterpiece with pretty good tips. I use to use right hand pinky too (it helps me a lot, in some instances). Thank you for the lesson.
I learned this using a capo on the third fret, even though it can probably be played with it on the first fret, as well. Having said that, I do like this arrangement.
In the second measure you say use your thumb to hit the b on the 9th fret but tab says 7th fret or a. I’m assuming b is correct since that’s what you’re doing. Thanks for posting
Toni, I love to see you plating your HD28. Can you tel me whIch strings are on it ? I use the Martin monel retros on D28, and they are booming 😃 thanks! X
Toni, I'm a huge fan...how in the heck do you have the time to do something like this when you guys gig almost every night. I'm in St. Louis but I'm hoping catch up with ya in KC in May
I am real l’y fan of All you are doing booth of you !! Why don’t you try some John Prine famous songs (I remember everything, claye pigeons, etc...) thanks for your tutorials also !! Antoine from.....south of...France.
