Manowar is probably the most underrated heavy metal band of all time. Eric Adams vocals are 11 on scale of 10. This album was recorded in 1988 no autotune. Live, he's been known to holds a note for a full minute. I'm not joking. And I could go on forever about guitar and drums.

Back in the 80s when most of my school mates liked Metallica... I wanted something else, and found a tape at a supermarket.. MANOWAR.... It was my very first band that was not Gun´s, Metallica, Queen, Twisted Sister.. It was more aggressive, faster and the voice of Eric Adams was superb. My favorite song of that album is BLOOD OF THE KINGS... From another album CARRY ON is a great song. I also have many Sabaton CD´S.

there is no metal more metal than Manowar ... they are really Kings of Metal. My recommendation Fast songs - "Power" , "Fight Until We Die" , "Power Of Thy Sword" , "El Gringo" Anthems - "Metal Warriors" , "Warriors Of The World" , "Battle Hymns" Slow, Ballads - "Mountain" , "Master Of The Wind" , "King" Dark - "Dark Avenger" , "The Demon's Whip" and of course the masterpiece beyond masterpieces... the best song that has been ever written ACHILLES AGONY AND ECSTASY IN EIGHT PARTS ... this is like none other

Manowar can be very campy/cheesy, but they are fun as fuck. And metal. Definitely metal.

One of the best metal voices ever. Try Call to arms by Manowar, or maybe Metal Daze or a hundred other epic songs by them. Yeah, they have some cheesy stuff, but their serious epic stuff is right up there with anyone.

This takes me back to the 80s! Listening to this in our common room at school.

Manowar is genuinely lovable..... As long as you are satisfied with half a great album every few years and not listening to thel yrics at all. On the other hand..... The lyrics are quite enjoyable. Kind of like the drawings of a toddler.

Late to the party, but this is one of my two favorite Manowar songs (“Heart of Steel” being the other). It is so invigorating, it’s been my pump up song for 20 years. Probably seemed weird when I was in my car shouting along to it before the MPRE, but it worked so I won’t complain.

The thing that i always think about when i hear manowar, read their lyrics and take in their general immagery is that, these are fullly grown adult men.

You need to see/hear a live version. They play a whole long intro that's like nothing you ever heard

Not sure if youre going for songs that get hits or good music. Ive always looked for those hidden gems. That's why nothing compares to Albums or as the younger people say Vinyl. Bands use to put hidden tracks on albums. Last time I saw that was Blue October's album Foil. AS for bands if you wanna check out Crimson Glory, Queens Ryche, Savatage (when the crowds are gone and Gutter Ballet), School of fish, Accept, Metallica, Megadeth(Dave was in Metallica before forming this band), The Rasmus ( October and april should be your speed.) Within Temptation (goats of symphonic metal). The list is endless and this would be a book if i kept typing. im old and have had decades of music .
