Cathy is a cutie. Her mom needs to stop letting her use her as a pacifier. If I were a monkey mom, that kid would have been sleeping in the grass and not on my tit! 😂 Spikey is hilarious! When he kicked his mom in the face, I about fell out of my chair!
It’s so nice to see this monkeys foraging and not being bother by people and whole mess of camera men bothering the monkeys . I think this monkeys are so much cuter than the long tail monkeys. It’s such a good environment.
Kat, for short, for Kathy I haven't heard a Katie in there, or we do? I enjoy the study of the habits an the behavior with the monkeys threw your video/ documentaries , Able to learn an see much from the filming, so good job on that , I find this relaxing ,and the next best thing without being there face to face to educate myself on the everyday life of them. Maybe one day I will be able to explore more outside in the elements, but again good job filming bud
I know this is an old post and you may have the answer by now but in case you haven't.....Most of the time you see them appear to drink their milk but what they are doing is clearing a clogged teat. A clogged teat can be very painful and of course the baby cannot get any milk from that particular one until the clog is cleared. The other reason can be for self soothing after a baby dies. Sometimes this is done due to to stress.

spikey is one of the cutest boys born this year to bossy's troop, and i am positive its his hair. lol but none of them beat reddy's babies, dipsey is the cutest yearling, and well mannered. i think lock needs some motherly advice from dolly and reddy because she wasn't paying any attention to norma's mothering skills.
Besides it’s time to set the milk bar rules. The two month mark is late to start. But Dolly knows what she is doing. Leave it up to monkey mom she knows best. 🐒🍼
My goodness! I believe that’s the slowest I’ve seen the monkeys moving about looking for the beans during the bean scramble. Are they just that full from the other feeders?
@Julia Evans. They had been foraging on grasses. Arroz provided them with healthy Soya beans. It’s a centuries old snack (like sweet potatoes and peanuts) Very healthy and nutritious

Dolly is being a bit narky..not like her she's always been an attentive momma..do you think it might be loss of ranking has made her peed off..poor Spikey getting the brunt of her bad mood
I'm not sure of this but I think she's been fast with all her kids but she's isn't cutting them off immediately. It's a process. Researchers think that the earlier a mum stop breastfeeding the sooner she can get pregnant again and Dolly isn't exactly late giving birth almost every season😁. 🤓🏴☠️🇸🇪

@JiMochi No they are not sisters. Gypsy is a victim of low rank. She is at the very bottom of the hierarchy. Rudy takes her baby since she is now sterilized and Gypsy cannot get him back. She also gets ripped off of all the close snuggles and boding between mother and newborn. She loves her kids as best she can. It’s quite sad really

@@ML_SE Wow, I didn't know that, thanks for mentioning it. I don't think they look alike but I'll have to take a closer look. I wonder if any of Reddy's kids will have a red face like hers when they grow up. I assume the redness develops as they get older since I don't think I've seen any babies or juveniles with a red face.
