Youth - Miraculous Ladybug (Animatic) 

I ll finally leave a comment because each it pops up i rewatch it. The only concept of Nooroo making someone his champion without passing by a holder is already phenomal. We saw what Plag could do alone, and recently tikki, but OH BOY. It would'nt even need the consent of the champion, just a straight up overpowered being. The other thing I love here is the use of apathy. I don't it's used enough, but it's so thematically strong. Everything Marinette ever did is care. She cares for the city, she cares for the miracluous, she cares for her friends, her family, she cares about her dream, her school life, and love life; and what does everything that she cares like that do ? It kills her from within. The pressure, the failure, the bad talk she has sometimes, and all, all the pain. It all stays inside, bottled up, because she can't let it go. It's a secret, it's to protect, it's better like that. When Nooroo finally gives her something her hearts want : it's not care. It's not feel anything anymore. No more pain, yes, but really it is no more pressure, no more anxiety. Her heart judged that everything good didn t outweight the bad, so it just went drastic and cut everything. And it also brings her motivation like that, and also tied with the solo nooroo action : her goal. Normally, each vilain has a personal goal and gabriel keep them in check to bring him the miraculous. But in her case ? It's purely her wish being fullfilled. No one to keep her in line. And linked to her now apathy : simply destroying everything that brings pain. I don't think she would go personnal, like attacking Chloe or something like that, more : destroying the miraculous. As she fights the holders lead by Alya, she just wants to destroy those powerful artefacts that brought her so much troubles. Because that's really what caused her SO MUCH pressure and pain : the vilains, Gabriel's fool dream to bring his wife back making him forget the ones alives around him, her mentor that spends his whole life trying to rewrite a wrong, and most of all : her secret. On a last note, and it's more farfetched here. Nooroo and Gabriel always stocked the akuma into an item of the champion. But here ? Nothing. Nooroo and the peacock miraculous are both very much linked to matter : one needs it to give power and the other give matter to something that don't have any (emotions). The crazy idea is : what if Nooroo learned from the peacock here ? What if he gaves power into something immaterial : something that cannot be contained and is theorically infinite. It brings a LOT of questions, the most important : how do we destroy it to free the akuma ? AND HERE COMES THE GENIUS OF MARINETTE'S DESIGN HERE (not linked to my theory, but more ing general) she doesn't have an akuma, SHE IS THE AKUMA. And it really encapsulate the whole point of the show, a bit childish at time : you can't ignore your emotions. Most of the time, they breaks the items, fix paris and the now ex vilain does something to not feel like that anymore ( or is cast away in case of already evil person). Here, with Marinette, it's not possible. You cannot free her in the classical method. And we can go even farther : would they need to break her or to purify her ? They can't ignore her feelings because SHE IS the feelings, overflowing and destroying everything around in the process. That was my take, thanks if someone got this far in reading it.

I like the idea of everything getting so out of hand that hawkmoth himself realises his mistakes and teams up with the heroes in order to set things straight I also like the idea of marinette being the last akumatized person in the show and all the heroes having to fight her without the aid of the ladybug miraculous

I absolutely adored the idea of everyone having to fight (save) an overly powerful akumatized Marinette. And I personally love that isntead of a crazy, evil laughting villain, she looks beautiful but emotionless

You know Paris is in real trouble when Hawkmoth has to go on a superhero arc

Wow girl okay who allowed you to be this powerful and cool and make me feel for characters I never paid attention to I think that's illegal-

This actually made me cry oml This would be a PERFECT series finale. The idea of Marinette being that last person to be akumatized, and she's receiving Nooroo's full, raw power, is so poetic and makes for such a damn good payoff.

I keep coming back to this because, its just phenominal. You managed to do, in 4 minutes, what the writers couldn't in a whole season. You told a story so amazing and beautiful, honestly, this is just amazing. So many people go for such an angry akumatised Marinette (which, dont get me wrong, the girl deserve to be angry af) but you took her and made her tragically beautiful. even with all the destruction going on, she looks ethereal and beautiful and calm and sad. like she finally shed all the burdens of emotions in her heart. this was just so amazing, im honestly speechless. i dont think words do this justice to how incredible your work is. Thank you

The repetitive "and you caused it" is so fitting for Gabriel in this animatic; he caused Marinette so much pain and agony with his meddling that her becoming so OP when akumatized was all down to him. Beautiful. Poetic. 10/10 would watch again.

Only solving the person’s problem can detransform Nooroo‘s Akuma. And Marinette‘s most unbearable suffering comes from the responsibility of being Ladybug and her duty to protect Paris every day. If only there wasn't Paris…

I like to imagine that the wings are all of the pain Marinette has collected over time

0:57 this frame gives me chills! the angle, the pose, the expression, it’s all there! Magnificent!! You can tell the sort of thing he’s saying too! Like “well well well, look who came out of hiding” or “look what we got here”

Nooroo felt the girl's anguish. Her pain was palpable. Gabriel wasn't going to like it, but this girl needed help. The intensity of the emotions went way off the charts. Nooroo felt the enormous power surge into the girl. She felt it too. Quickly taking in the situation, she screamed. Everything had been going wrong. Why this? Why now? She just wanted everything to disappear. She didn't want this massive responsibility to Paris, she didn't want to have to juggle her double life at school, and most of all, she didn't want these emotions anymore. She screamed for all of this to just stop! Nooroo's power granted her that wish. A listless apathy soon spread over her. None of it mattered anymore. All of Paris was going to be torn apart by the storm in her head made manifest and circling above. The racing thoughts and pangs of emotion are now replaced with racing winds and pangs of lightning. She flutters up above the city diminishing its presence in her mind. Why is this here if it hurts me? The wind and lightning increase in intensity. Nooroo worries that might have been the wrong choice to get back at his master, but surely Ladybug and Catnoir will save the city as they always do, right?

This is so beautiful- and the ending. That even at her very worst. Dull, mindless and drowned in her sorrow. Even then, Marinette still offers her hand to the one who cause her so much pain, when Gabriel falls to his knees and apologises. She pushes away Chat Noir, her friends. But him? Him she lets in. Because he has felt that same despair as she has. And she understands. (And the way "you caused this" hits right then? OUCH)

Oh my god. I just realized that with no item to attach the magic to Marinette is basically her own Akuma…that’s why she’s a butterfly Oh my god the story telling from this is insane😍

Someone should write a short story over this. I love the animation and details, especially the character design for marionette. The idea of her being a Akuma herself when akumatized is brilliant.

This is so fantastic, the emotion, the timing, the look an Marinette's face after she's become akumatized it's all so amazing. It's like shes about to cry but also so calm at the same time. The lighting and colouring is so awesome and I can't forget about the fact that her akumatized form is an akuma, it perfectly represents how the kwami's have no control of there powers. The show would be 100 times better if they hired you!

This. This is why I love the miraculous fandom. Hands down the best miraculous animatic I’ve ever seen. It was so dynamic, bittersweet, and downright gut wrenching. Not to mention the amazing song choice and absolutely BEAUTIFUL artwork. Amazing job, now if you’ll excuse me, *I’ll be rewatching this about 10,000 more times.*

This could still happen: -For once, this season, she was the one vulnerable. He was the one who had to save her; -Death, the slow kind, was showed twice during this show (Rose's disease and Gabriel's cataclysmatic state). -Natalie is starting to find loopholes in her relationship with Gabriel that allow her to operate on a sort of agenda of her own; -And Lila reminding everyone Ladybug is still a teenager, uncapable of handling the whole pressure... You know where I'm getting at.

The look she gives at 3:47 is so empty yet portrays so much emotion, like she's been broken time and time again and is just to tired to feel anything at all anymore. You've made such an impactful, and ethereal work of art that I genuinely adore

She looks ethereal but lonely and sad. love the expressions! and how do you write miraculous better than the actual writers, only you know. The art is powerful. and the ending is fitting.

I think this concept works all the better because without Lucky Charm the damage to the city and people becomes permanent. It solidifies the actions of Hawk Moth, who however tragic his character may be has caused the continuous destruction and likely death of many people, we just don't get to acknowledge this because everything is set back to how it was previously. Honestly a finale that acknowledges and allows damage to be healed and built upon rather then erased or covered up would finally acknowledge everything Miraculous' s Paris has gone through. Marinette and Adrien should also probably not ever enter a relationship. They share too much trauma from being teenage superheroes and would be unhealthily codependent. This would be worsened by the powers they hold as superheroes. They need therapy and time not to be thrust into something that takes as much time, energy, and thought as a relationship. It's been awhile since I've watched anything for Miraculous but it was nice to come back to my origins for a while. This was truly a majestic piece of artwork which had much thought put into it. So there's my 2 cents.

Holy shit the music fits so well, like when they said "And if you're in love" and you showed Alya and Nino, and then when the music gets intense there's also intense scenes, and when Marinette held out her hand to Gabriel and the lyrics went "and you caused it" like damn. Such great creative writing and execution! Awesome amazing work!!

Bro I actually thought this was an animatic for the show and I deadass went to look up to episode bc I was so ready to start ladybug after this. This is insane, mad talent

I love the detail of Alya having the miraculous box with her when she and the rest of the miraculous holders arrive on the scene. Since who else but her knew where it was. That said, this finish for season 5 wouldn't work, unless Marinette and Adrien got all the miraculoses (or at least the 6 that were there at the time) back from Gabriel's hands. It'd be pretty damn epic to see a version of Marinette, who's akumatised due to the sheer pressure of having to protect everyone, and Gabriel not being able to un-akumatise her, effectively having to join the hero side to stop her.

Watching this video multiple times made me tear up a bit. Marinette being akumatized by Nuuru's full raw power makes her look beautiful yet emotionless rather than being the complete opposite. I don't know why, but everytime I see Marinette in that video makes me feel the pain she's feeling. We all have our downs and sometimes it can take over us. We're humans and we feel these things too. Idk why I'm saying this all of a sudden and got emotional 😭

One idea I just thought about. Kwamis are gods, concepts. They are not humans, they don't think like humans, they don't feel like human. And Nooros power was abused, so he didn't just crack, he put Marinette as the avatar of his wrath. She's a literally God's wrath, unfeeling and uncaring, just punishing everyone and everything.

I could hear hear them speaking. I could feel their hearts breaking. I understood the whole plot without it being told. I am crying because of the masterful depiction amd artistry. This was beautiful

This is the absolute most amazing idea I have ever seen for Miraculous. It's so beautifully animated and the anguish within is tangible. I cried right with Gabriel when Adrien was knocked down after Marinette's attack. I honestly thought he was dead, and that made it hurt even more. I am absolutely here for the idea of Gabriel finally changing tracks and joining the heroes to fight against an Akumatized Marinette. Especially when he shows as much character and emotion as he does here.

the parts with gabriel were AMAZING, i love how core he would be to solving this problem and how the CHAT NOIRE REVEAL is what really motivates him just WHOAh.

If I'm honest I think it could happen if it was the anime version, but with the current version it's rather hard to imagine because it's aimed more at little kids. I like the series, but I'd really like the anime for scenes like this.

I loved everything! the animation style, the use of gray, white and black and only purple for the akumatization sign. As well of the idea of an akumatized marinette. I honestly feel she would be a very powerful akuma, not only for being ladybug, but because how is her personality, sometimes letting her emotions get the best of her but most of the time she has to get over it because of her role as the guardian and being ladybug at the same time. Like honestly how has that woman not become crazy? Also also!! I just love the idea of Chloe using the bee miraculous once more. I loved her design as the bee holder as well as how better she became while using it. I dont dislike Zoe, its a cute, nice and good person, despite how bad her social live was on NY. But its just that i prefer Queen bee... so yeah , Yay Queen bee!!

OH GODS. I've been looking at this for 2 hours now and I can't stop. Every detail is important here. I was especially touched by the presentation of the Hawk Moth/Gabriel not as an absolute evil, but as a human being. I have two ideas: Nuru has already had enough of Gabriel's emotions and has found a new source of strength. What could be stronger than the pain of losing a loved one? An even greater loss. Even after the luck of the Accumulator, Adrian continued to reach out to her...

This needs to be what Marinette would be if she ever gets akumatized. The character design is stunning, and the powers and so powerful, it would be an amazing watch! Loved the animatic, great job!

I also want to point out how we can almost hear what they are saying just with their visual expression. Something around the lines of : Chat : Well well well, look who's here? Couldn't resist looking at your creation? Hawk : I... I didn't do this Chat : What..? Hawk : This isn't my doing (...) Chat : Can't you fix it? Hawk : I can't... I can't take her power away, I can't control her Chat : Fine, I'll do it myself then! *jump around* MARINETTE!!!

I watched this animatic so many times already and every time I just see its thumbnail pop up on my page I can't help but stop to appreciate what a masterpiece it is. Honestly I cannot say anything more better than the other comments here that truly captured everything I love about this in the best words possible, but I am still just going to say the obvious thing: this is incredible! From the timing to the shocking, powerful, sad yet beautiful ideas, the scenes, the accurancy of characters' actions, and the emotion this portrays, you truly took all the potential this show (and the song) has to offer and used it brilliantly. Simple but sincere: I love this. Keep creating

This video has been in my recommended videos for a while. I'm only just now watching it. Tears filled my eyes by the end. I'm the type of person who likes to try to feel and understand why a person feels some way, in real life and videos/shows. The pain and the overwhelming sense of duty to Paris pour out of Marinette. The entire way this was done....there really aren't words for how incredible this video is. The design, the characters, the music, the way the characters act as the scenes play out, the transitions between scenes, the particles, the reveal to Hawkmoth of Chat Noir being his son, the emotions from each character, the ideas behind it, everything. Everything is done so beautifully. I hope there's a part two to show the aftermath and so I can know if Marinette comes back to her friends. What got me the most was the last scene, with Gabriel and Marinette in a world only they could see. When Gabriel was breaking down in tears in regret, Marinette showed how she was still there and forgave him. The only way to end this is by saying well done. This was incredible and your hard work comes through.

I really hope this gets put in the actual show. It's amazinggg. I don't know if this is it but my interpretation is that marinette got overwhelmed by all she was doing for her friends without them giving back and she finally snaps and receives nuurus full power to become all powerful

It truly is rare to see such a work of art. From a story perspective this animatic was engaging and interesting, and from an art perspective it was beautiful and epic. Fantastic job. You’ve just earned yourself a new subscriber!

This. This is incredible. You can feel the intensity of the situation in every moment, and see just out of hand it gets. I love the Nooroo was the one to do this and not Adrien's father, just to show how Nooroo's handling things at this point. It's nice to see Adrien's father realize the error of his ways and work with the heroes to try and stop this, since he realized he's made a massive mistake hurting all of these people. I can genuinely see this as an ending to the show, and seeing it end this way would be epic and heartbreaking. I can't wait to see where you go with your art and storytelling next.

This is beyond words. The animation is beautifull. And the story is amazing. Marrinette was shown a strong will, she wouldn't simply give in to hawk Mouth persuasion, but the raw power of the miracoulis is another thing. Also Hawk mouth only realizing how much of a mess he made when everything is destroyed, since we saw adrien alone being Cat Noir isn't enough to stop him, but seeing his Son and his town going down in flames is. After all he wanted to have a family again. Also that nooroo helps him reach Marinette is just great, despite her being dull and nump and her mind being far away she reaches out to a soul in need
