Kukis Zomis Hmars Mizos of Manipur. I always remember us fighting or bickering against each other for some reason or the other. A never ending cycle especially during the 1990s and early 2000s. But I believe in this day and age right now, we have never really bothered each other. We live and let live. Never in our history have we been this united. But we all have never been targeted like this by anyone together as a whole. So we are now ONE. We all are very sensitive towards our own personal identity. It's why you keep hearing different names. But We are now UNITED for one cause and cause only - Absolute separation from the oppressors. Although I keep using the word Kuki to describe myself, I am actually a Zomi. I use it and will keep using it because the oppressors have not differentiated us and oppressed us in the name of Kukis. So, when I say Kuki, I always mean all of us. I am more than happy to be called a Hmar, a Kuki, or a Mizo. You may call me any, and I will gladly accept that I am that without any second thought or ill feeling. I am DAVID. 🤜🤛 WE ARE DAVID.
