Nothing we can do about fakes…I could care less how many people have the same bag as myself…that makes it really spoken for.. I hate when people say they don’t want a certain purse because everyone has it….well everyone has a hole are we gonna get rid of ours because of that? Everyone one does something different with their *jklux* for example their style, your style will set you apart.
Jessie, your health is the bedrock of your whole life so I'm glad youre prioritising it now. When I was your age (I'm 53 now) I did something similar and had a total break which resulted in a great change in my life. My adrenal glands were wrecked. It took a couple of years to recover my MH. So I took on a casual waitressing job at a quiet cafe just to make a tiny bit of money and get me being slightly social. It was great to have a job with minimal stress or responsibility with nice people for a change. Then I was able to face the next chapter of my life with much better MH and strength. Working in a toxic environment just kills your soul. I hope you continue to grow your channel and have the rest and nurturing that you deserve. It's ok to not be ok. I Joined your membership thingy and I'm so proud of your creativity and commitment to yourself.
Wow!! Yes long term a job which has a bad impact on your MH can be crushing. Good to know things can change! Yes I'm thinking to do something more chill in the mean time to get some extra money. I feel much better already! Thanks so much for joining too!! 😻
Darn girl! I’m so sorry you had to leave your job due to a seemingly tough situation. That is a bold move but we love you here on the RU-vids! We’re not going anywhere ❤❤❤
The reality is: if you're rich and famous, your *jklux* bags are seen as a sign of success. If you are just an ordinary worker working a 9-to-5 job, your real bag is likely to be considered the fruit of your efforts.
Jess, it will all work out, just stay positive! My husband went through a lay off earlier this year and it was scary. His company laid off thousands of people. And it was a huge worry for us. But my mom kept saying “one door closes another one opens” and luckily he got an even better position a few months later. So just know that it will be ok. And you have a community here who will support you. ❤
@@Jessiestyle If there’s anything I can do to help please let me know. Living through mega stress takes a toll on you. I know that it does first hand. One of my first jobs out of school was at the World Trade Center in NYC. And I was there on 9/11. I didn’t work for a whole year after that it was just too much for me to handle. So, I understand how stress can totally take over and ruin everything. Please reach out if there’s anything I can help with.
There was a documentary recently where they interviewed very wealthy women. These women are talking about how they no longer buy authentic wallets, but instead choose to buy really good wallets *jklux* designer bags they love. They then invest the money they save in other things such as real estate, stocks, etc.
You are such a Sweetheart, & you send such positive, happy vibes out to the world. I tune in to your channel because you always make me smile. I am sending you prayers of positively, love & prosperity. I'm sure you will find the path that will make you happy & also pay the bills. 💜🙏💜
Oh Jess, I’m so sorry you’re not feeling so well. Engaging in creative pursuits is so helpful to our mental health. We are here to support you! That Margiela book looks so good. I may have to order it.
I guess sometimes change is inevitable. I'm sorry you had to go through whatever it was. I've had periods like that when I just had to quit, but you'd be surprised at how quickly things change again. Please just take this time to take care of yourself 💛 Everyone needs a break! & I would love to see a vid on what bags you use the most for each season! 👜
So sorry to hear you’re going through a tough time. It’s really strong of you to realize you need a reset, and quitting your job was an important step in that process. You’ll figure it out ❤
You have sounded stressed in recent videos so I'm glad you were able to leave. It's our turn to remind you of your own good advice -- Don't let anyone steal your sparkle!! We are so glad you're so great at youtube so hopefully it'll keep feeding your spirit while you look for your next work gig. Sewing is such a fun mental activity, all that problem solving in 3D. I've watched a few youtube videos of women artists who started 6 figure companies selling resin charms, both bag and jewelry. I could totally see you doing that successfully! Sending you good vibes and creativity!
Jess is so great at finding bags on great condition. I would pay for a service where someone finds and/or recommends great deals on wishlist pre-loved items.
So sorry you had to leave your job! But it sounds that you are getting a break from working so hard. I am sure you will find a creative solution to this new situation!! There is not much paying jobs in my line of work either since "the war" started so I understand your situation. Keep up with your great job and never lose faith in what you do!!
Jessie, you are amazing! It will all turn to better, like life always closes the doors to open new ones for us. I think you can make so much material based on your collection. Like Hermes leather guide, color guide, Hermes sizes, what fits, how to doll up your bags, etc. People always search for these videos and you can capitalize on it. Hugs♥♥♥
As someone who did the same thing at the end of last year I totally get it. I left my job of 11 years after the final straw of disrespect and bullying. I was mentally exhausted dealing with the crap. I ended up having three months off which if you can I recommend. What I learnt was to give yourself some time to mentally recover. Sleep, rest whatever you need to do - don’t push yourself too much especially in the first couple of weeks. Life is way too short to be unhappy. Good luck.
glad you stepped away for a short while! It is very important! physical and mental health is all connected, and yes life is too short to not live a little!
jess biggest luck to you. i can see you as a reseller, finding great vintage finds and reselling them along with current stuff. you have a good eye for different options/esthetics for x bag. you provide us options! like hey guys I know you are all loving x bag, where there are sim feels.
Thank you for sharing your work situation. It really sounds like you need to take this break and focus more on your channel and maybe even start your own bag charm line or something in that realm. ❤
You are the most authentic of RU-vidrs covering the luxury subject. You really think about everything you say and do. I hope you can take this channel far...you are unique....not one of the clones!
Sometimes we hit a roadblock that forces a whole change in direction but we usually end up where we need to be just the same. It’s just a different route. Have faith in yourself, Jess. Best of luck with this new venture 🍀.
Wishing you good health and peace Jessie! I’ve had some dreadful work experiences also, one of which took me to a very dark place and at that time I took comfort in being reminded that we work to live, not live to work. No position is worth our wellness and no one on their deathbed says “I wish I worked more” or “ I wish I endured abuse in the workplace”. So it sounds like you truly made the RIGHT choice, even if not the easy one.
Great idea. Another question for Jess, do you use a de-humidifier ? I’ve lost a few bags due to heat etc in my upstairs bedroom. I’m also in Melb. Any information on how to best store these expensive bags and how to care for them btw uses.
We are always here for you honey! I am sorry that you are in a difficult emotional space! Getting grilled at work can most take a toll at work. I have seen many people leave their job with no plan. I hope you can create a charm business!! I would definitely purchase from you! If you can afford to take a break, before getting a new job then do it! I am so happy you will concentrate on your creative outlets!! I love the Clochette necklace! Aahh! The pink and blue Witch Petit H is cute. Your entire collection is lovely! I want the Pumpkin and ghost ones! I enjoyed this video❤
Thanks for sharing your story with such candor. Glad you're taking care of your health and trying to get back to you. I think you're going to do great with your channel going forward, no matter what your decision is for jobs in the future. ! Hopefully, a lot of folks are getting signed up for memberships soon! I'll be thinking of you. Being a content creator is such hard work. I hope you enjoy this break, however long you decide it lasts. You're doing a great job. PS: I am so honored to be one of the first three members!!!
This too shall pass. I am too on a break. When it starts snowing i will be back to work.😂 Try drinking four cups of double green matcha tea by republic from amazon the morning.
Layoffs are tough to go through, Jessie, so I'm sorry you're dealing with it. I know you will land on your feet, however, because you are smart, creative and driven. I could see you creating bag charms as others have said, as you have an eye for fashion and the right amount of whimsy and creativity to do that. Hell, you could start your own brand, as you've got great fashion instincts. I also believe you will get even more of a following on RU-vid, as you are so likeable and relatable out here. This layoff could be a great opportunity for you to make something completely your own from the ground up. Whatever direction you end up going, whatever your next adventure will be; I know you will absolutely kill it and thrive. Love and good wishes from my little corner of the US to you, Jessie. I'm cheering you on.
I have a feeling you will look back on this years from now and know it was the best thing that could have happened. Excited for your future adventures. PS I look forward to your videos every day :)
You will be fine, Jess! Your mental health is your #1 priority. There will always be jobs out there so just focus on what you enjoy most. It will all work out. Sending love your way:) Anita
It was lovely seeing you in Chadstone time to time. Wishing you all the very best ❤ I could always see you special and you will definitely do well in months to come xx
I’m sorry to hear how your job went down but I’m so glad to hear you’ve been starting some creative projects which you said you had been wanting to do. 😊 And I’m glad to hear you’re listening to the universe lol
Congrats Jess!!!! No more punching into work 🎉. You're going to do so amazing. Obsessed with Linda's Stuff! There bags are always in great condition. They always have a healthy selections to choose from! Excellent Customer Service too.
Jessie, thank you for sharing your story. Given the quality of your videos and dedication, I can see you have more new subscribers! I wish you the best!
Take care of yourself, the health is a priority! You gonna make it, cause you’re awesome and your channel is so inspiring, so genuine. Good luck with all your beginnings, Jess!🥰❤️🌻
Thank you for all your awesome videos Jess! I’m sending you lots of love positive thoughts. I believe your intuition will manifest a much better quality of life for you. 💕🧸🙏
It was Martin Margiela, who worked as artistic director of women's ready-to-wear at Hermès . The Maison (House of) Margiela is his own brand , which he founded in 1988.
Good luck Jess ❤❤ i feel like you can do different content too like ootds & such. 😊 i know you dont post short format content on yt but i love your short videos too. 😊
Prada was doing clochette keychains with neck straps in the 90s I believe so it may be revisit from their own archives. I just finished a much needed three month career break. It was a bit scary initially but it was definitely a good decision. Take care of yourself Jess!
Oh Jess! I'm so sorry you're going through this! I just came back to RU-vid after going through some professional stress too, and you're so right--this YT channel & community has been such a huge help through the tough times 💗 You deserve the absolute world, and I can't wait to see what you're able to do with this channel!
You are really talented, and now that you can dedicate even more time to RU-vid. I am confident that you will continue to increase your subscribers so that others can enjoy and learn from you.
I’m sorry to hear about you going through some tough times but rooting for your RU-vid channel! I’m also sad to hear the Jonathan Anderson rumors 😢😢😢 he’s my absolute fav with Loewe rn
Never give up! You'll eventually get what you need where you shine. When the job doesn’t appreciate me I bounce too! One was after they promoted everyone else on team but me, when I was doing double their top caseload...so I left, just as *all* the partners were going on summer vacay(literally the next day😂), and leaving me to do over 400 client interviews in 2 months and train another batch of new associates, all alone. Policy is the day you tender is the day you must stop all work, so I did😂😂😂 Your job will miss you Jess, even if they were too jerky and underestimating to grasp that while you were there. They will miss you in many ways. (When they ask you back, tell them whatever rude dismissive thing they said to you like "since I'm "not ambitious enough, it isn't in the cards"". Bonus if you can get them to take you to a nice lunch first!😂)
@@Jessiestyle just know you aren't alone. If you have to, do any sort of other work. I did some odd jobs BW(before wheelchair) that pay relatively decent but not resume builders. I went into some temp agencies with resume and said I need to make X per hour, and stick to what you say because they'll try to get you cheaper. It's gigs, but there are some interesting sometimes unusual short-term jobs about if you're in a populated area:)
Sending you much love Jess ❤, things will work out. Can't wait to see what you come up with for your next instalment, but whatever it is I'm sure it will be something fabulous xx
