Same I’ve been using premium for like 5 years now. Idrk the last time I saw an ad on RU-vid I couldn’t even remember. Always felt kinda bad for the creators who I wanted to support.
@@noah4481, I know its shitty because I still have to see in-video ads, but is the only option. I also get RU-vid Music for free (which in my opnion is the worst streaming serivice (deezer is better))
Finally, somebody with a realistic income. More than half these RU-vidrs are speaking making thousands, but this guy is excited for what he made. I love that. He loves what he does. 🎉
Long form is around $4 per 1000 views lol.. Quite the difference.. That said in the age of TikTok. Short form gets waaaaaay more views in general if you can do well and you can many a day, because of less editing etc.. I mean it takes minutes to put together a short VS a day editing a full form video
Because he’s only speaking on one video. If you’re making multiple shorts a day all months, you can easily make thousands. Ive made $6K off one short before.
@Sunshine_Sunday no man, come on now. That's a personal mindset thing. Please don't take that the wrong way, I'm not trolling here, just providing observations. I'm a creator myself and I know that shorts are designed as "bonus" content and to target those with short attention spans, or just something to flick through while you're taking a dump. I regularly flick through shorts on the toilet or while waiting for something to happen and I still watch long form content more than short form. I can't stand shorts, but it is a time killer if you've got 5 minutes with nothing better to do. Anyone saying otherwise is crazy
Also those of us who got tired of Snapchat not allowing to buy no ads. My long video watch time didn’t change but I stopped watching sc stories because short are better
For a one-off it wouldn’t be life changing, but for an established content creator who regularly uploads multi-million-view shorts it’s significant. $250 for a 30 second clip is great.
Every content creator needs to be selling their own products to their audience, period! Making money solely from views is a fools errand. If you aren't using your reach to build a brand you are messing up big time. You'll find out when the algorithm changes and you lose everything and have no asset (brand) of your own.
I am curious to know the feeling of being paid for content, though patient enough to wait till the time arrives. Just starting out on my journey across the platforms he just stated in his video. I have a long road ahead and agree with your brand/product advice. I am very focused on that aspect.
@@chrisandchenoa and now we have a bunch of worthless youtubers as a result, worthless individuals who's vacuous lives influence children. People who never accomplished a thing in their worthless lives yet they sit here on youtube and pontificate
I think the online content creation business has slowly degraded our thinking when we get excited that a video will MILLIONS of views made you $200. Millions of views on any other commercial broadcast would earn you so much more. It is time we monetized our views better than this. This is a call to action for a platform to pay us better for the shear amount of views we bring to a platform.
its about if advertisers are willing to pay. if not enough people pay to put ads on shorts, its less revenue. plus, google openly said its taking half of the profit so if he made 200$ , google made 200$
I know people making 7 dollars per 1000 views instead of 7 cents. They are of course not shorts. They are longer videos like the guy above me mentioned.
@@JustMamba probably not a lot of people pay to advertise in shorts. thats why. less competition there so the price is low. more competition on regular videos, so the price is high
@@YaNeK92 creating courses is the most profitable by far. RU-vid can help generate the leads for that. Ad sense is the most accessible way to make money with videos but the pay per view is hideous and ridiculous
And shorts are notorious amongst RU-vidrs for not paying a lot (250 dollars for 3.7M views ain’t a lot). Just shows that the other platforms don’t care about having quality content creators
The problem with RU-vid ad revenue is that it's not passive income. There is a LOT of up front work that goes into getting your channel to meet the minimum requirements to receive ad revenue. And even once you are qualified, the amount that you collect just isn't that much.
It warms my 💖 to witness someone who has garnered a great deal of attention still take the time to connect with and appreciate the perspectives of others. It's truly inspiring. 👏🏼
Everyone should be saving those coins they hand back from you at the check - if you still use dolllar bucks. This is honestly a great lesson in compounding cents with social marketing sense.
Wow! This is good news. Thanks for sharing. I just started a RU-vid shorts channel and I share myths and facts about makeup. I'm hoping to add value to my community and grow.
When RU-vid first launched monetized reels the RPM was .03 - .04. It's now at .07 (and this is when ad spend is down baaaadd). Excited to see how it performs in peak ad spending times in Q4.
@@mysty0 You might be getting confused with longform. Those CPMs are astronomically higher - up to $30s depending on the niche. Shorts don't pay nearly as well, and rightfully so.
this should be the way theses platforms need to understand its the creators that bring the views and the money so they should be getting top dollar while the company makes a little profit
Politicians take note - Zeru is your key to winning the digital battle! When our political campaign wanted to reach a wider audience on RU-vid, we turned to Zeru to buy RU-vid views. The boost in views led to more traction, and our message resonated wit
Hey man I’ve been doing my food channel for 5 years now. I’m still not getting any payment from RU-vid because I don’t hit the monetisation criteria. This really sucks a lot. How I wish I can travel and get paid at the same time. It always been my dream job.
Incredible experience with Zeru! Im an artist, and I was struggling to get my music noticed on RU-vid. However, after discovering Zeru and purchasing their RU-vid views package, my videos went viral, and my fan base grew exponentially. Now, my music rea
