I have never been to Israel but it looks an absolutely beautiful country. When you read and hear about the dereliction and barren countryside it was in the mid 1800s, while under the colonisation of the Ottomans, (as describe by people like Mark Twain) its difficult to believe it. It's a credit to the Jews on how they have turned it around.

As a little girl I wanted to be an archeologist. Later I attend a school that was 95% Jewish kids and I wanted to be Jewish. At the last part of 6th grade the Seven day War happened. The rams horns came to school and were blown for victory. It was amazing! This tour was the answer to those dreams in a nutshell. Your hometown is beautiful. Your story about going to Masada was touching and you are an idiot for not finishing it. You should! The toilet tour was SPLENDID! The world and all civilizations have always functioned around the need to pee and poop. You are correct in believing maybe getting along with the neighbors just might begin with bumping in to one another in a public toilet. The stairs to the deep water system near Gezer were steep and I didn't mind the bats. They did not want you disturbing their sleep! I am one of your 25% female viewers and can't understand why there aren't more of us. See you soon.

We visit three times/year and we had left Israel on October 3rd and returned recently in January 2024 for three weeks. It is so impressive to see Israelis filling up the cafes and restaurants. Families are trying to maintain their routines of work, school, chugim and tiyulim. But…there is a cloud of sadness over the country…the hostages must come home to their families who await their return and there has been so much loss of loved ones…soldiers and civilians. Israelis are resilient and we are all hoping for better days ahead. Orin, you bring light around the world with your videos of the special Israeli Sunshine.

As Christians, no words can describe how we feel touring the land and it’s amazing each time! I wouldn't say your videos are political per se; to me, they are more informative than political. You are not trying to persuade or influence anyone, just educate us, which is always positive.
