I don’t understand why youtube sees translations as 0 value. RU-vid should at least add back the community-made subtitles feature if they want to discourage translation clipper channels
@@pentadunk I'm definitely sure they also have Hololive/VTuber fans employees and workers etc in their company 😅 this statement they made doesn't make any sense to us bllsht 😡
Are the translations themselves not counted as "value added" too? I think many would agree that if it weren't for the Japanese to English translations from various clippers that were being posted a few years back, Hololive/VTubers would not be nearly as popular with western viewers as it is today. I'm sure there are many Japanese viewers who feel the same way about your English to Japanese translations exposing them to the EN talents. That seems like value to me whether RU-vid wants to admit it or not.
This is rewriting what I have read from the other Japanese comments but Garzen’s translation is not just translating what the VTubers said, there are extra explanation to the niche vocabulary or memes/ jokes. I would argue that this is what the added value Garzen gives to the viewers.
@@RedFuji4some JP to EN clippers also do the same context explaining, usually in the subtitles themselves, but needless to say, Cover doesn't have the resources to translate between the groups and relies on the clippers to increase awareness, and RU-vid is essentially torpedoing Cover's own rules/agreements with clippers.
Was the video itself taken down or marked as ineligible for monetization? I know many English channels who share clips of Hololive (sometimes EN, sometimes translated JP) who have been demonetized in the past. Sometimes RU-vid will change their mind without explaining why, sometimes they never do. It's a really bad system. I hope RU-vid lets you keep uploading Hololive EN translations, Garzen! I love seeing the response from Japanese fans and learning a little bit of Japanese from seeing how you translate English.
I had a clip channel once, so I can confirm it's only ineligible for monetization. Clip content in itself does not violate RU-vid's ToS. It does, however, violate RU-vid monetization ToS (Yes they're different). We can upload it, we just can't monetize it.
@@hikarishini it's really frustrating because clips do a lot more work to be transformative than a video that is just someone watching along with the whole thing and reacting. Synthesizing and subtitling a stream is tough! I've tried it a few times before but I'm really bad at it lmao
